Place is way to expensive for Literally nothing. Doctor didn’t even talk to me face to face nor answered any of my questions. I found out more on a Google search. Anyways just want your money. Not affordable. $404 dollars for a car spay. Ha! No thanks I found one for $89 Never coming back

Love Dr Smolak awesome. As are all their other veterinarians! Reasonably priced. I absolutely love their VIP program. Free office visits and if I'm not mistaken 10% off ninety-nine and nine-tenths percent everything else. Then going to the Houston Heights location on Ella Boulevard near 34th Street pretty much since it opened

I brought my dog in today to see if she has a UTI. Check in was smooth & the appointment was fast. Dr. Doucet was so nice & informative! You can tell she actually cares about her patients. Although test results won't be in for a couple days, she made sure Lucy didn't have to wait that long before she could get treatment. We were sent home with meds to start her recovery while we wait. I felt very comfortable at the Oak Forest location from start to finish. Lucy gives them a 5 ???? rating!

A late review but this location is so unprofessional. The other location I had been to in Dallas was much better but I just moved to Houston. Needed an appointment but was shocked at how rude and cold they were. Cancelled my plan and went over to Heights veterinary clinic.

Update: I reached out to the email response and they were able to resolve this matter for me. I really appreciate that. Thus, I’m updating my review to reflect a 3 star average. No communication whatsoever from the doctors here. I called over 4 times to try to get an update on my dog’s x-ray and to proceed with dental cleaning but never got any response. It’s been a month since my appointment and I still haven’t heard from them. Eventually I’m told they’re booked out for the whole month of October and to call back at a later time. They should have told me this sooner then!! It’s not like I didn’t call literally 4 times (all marked on my file) to try to proceed. Then I call another location only to find out I have to redo blood work for my pup because the one done here had already been outdated. Are they serious? The doctors here are totally unprofessional, unreliable, and not responsive causing me now to incur extra costs and not to mention the horrible delay which could have led my dog to a worsened condition. This location obviously doesn’t have high standards for who they hire.

Lack of communication on Dr. Martin and Victoria but sends payment link quickly. Did not explain things thoroughly had to ask questions regarding my baby. Our animals are like our kids which requires the vet to have better customer service. Blame being busy for lack of communication yet everyone is busy so that's definitely not an excuse. Poor customer service and will not be returning.

I’m a new mom and was trying to bring my baby and angry cat in on a rainy morning…the staff immediately helped me get in the door and actually helped me load up the cat and baby after our appointment. Above and beyond customer service!!

The ladies were exceptional, professional, caring and courteous. I wouldn’t think of taking my boys anywhere else. It is truly a pleasure to have people like them care for my hounds.

Thrive at Oak Forest cares for all the needs of my 3 dogs. 2 are rescues and the staff at Thrive are simply amazing. We recently had to put one of our pets down and they were so patient, compassionate. When all was said and done the bill blew my mind about how affordable it was. I also recently took one of my female dogs in for what I thought might be a UTI. They were so amazing with her. They took urine, gave her a current rabies vacc. Also had her microchipped while we were there and all for less than 200.00. I also recommend getting their pet plan for your pet. For 10.00 a month you get amazing discounts on everything from office visits to medication. I will not take my pets anywhere else. Thank you to the men and women at Thrive Oak Forrest!!

A month a go I gave a rave review. The Vet at this establishment is WONDERFUL!!! HOWEVER the staff has gone down hill!! There is one person in particular that serves so much attitude that she needs to go back to customer service school and learn how to be POLITE to others!!!! She has no manners what so ever. My 3 pets will be going elsewhere.

This place is pretty bad. I’ve been twice and each time have received the same level of carelessness. They don’t call back, you must call them and are helped by annoyed sounding staff. Not to mention, this place has typically high prices for veterinary services. This wouldn’t be an issue if their name wasn’t Thrive AFFORDABLE Vet Care. Travel an extra exit down 290 to Petcare Express for exceptional and truly affordable vet care.

I’ve been taking my two dogs to Thrive off Ella for over a year. I always received great service. I recently decided to foster a pup that was found in the neighborhood and I’ve gotten to know the staff better because I go in more often. I’m more pleased than before. April and Tonee are the ones with whom we interact the most. They’re always helpful and welcoming.

Absolutely amazing hospitality. We last minute booked an appointment for a health check in order to travel. I booked the appointment accidentally for the following week and showed up and they STILL took us in! They printed all the required documents for the airline and took extra care to make sure we would have everything needed to travel. That’s not even the first time! I needed to get my pup into boarding last minute and needed a vaccine updated. They worked us in to get the vaccine in time and saved the day! I would recommend this vet to anyone who loves great people and great service.

Awesome place the take care really awesome to your dog the Receptionist is a fantastic woman who is always happy to attend you and you love it ???? the have tears for them to so they feel at home I would love to come back and make a YouTube video from the vet clinic.!

This is why I LOVE coming to the Oak Forest location on Ella Blvd. Every time I go, it's the best service from the receptionists to the vets. The vets are so responsive (to me and my furkids), sympathetic, knowledgeable and they LISTEN! Dr. Emily Doucet is amazing.... today, she examined my Black Lab, whose a senior and the patience she had with me, in explaining the situation with her arm was so reassuring. She even mentioned twice, for me to follow up with her about her condition and offered 3 medicinal chew alternatives for her joint care. I REALLY appreciated that. Thank you Dr. M ~from me, Pepper & Teddy.

Wouldn't come here again the doctor didn't call me after I left multiple voicemails and even called thrive but they didn't do anything about it. They never got back to me over my pet's antibiotics or what the next step would be

I am so sad that I have to switch locations! We had such a great experience with the vets at Thrive - Oak Forest. They are amazing! However, customer service goes a long way with us and I want to go somewhere and be treated with respect and common courtesy. Unfortunately, Monet, one of the staff members at the front, lacks this ability. She is rude, unpleasant and lacks professionalism. We love the Thrive chain and will seek one out that has the same awesome vets and prayerfully better vet techs and service! If there is a different location near you I would advise you to go there! Save yourself from being treated disrespectfully. Wow after looking at the reviews - clearly I am not alone. PLEASE fix this issue Thrive! ????

It’s not affordable pet care anymore, they raised prices by a lot from when we started coming here a few years ago..

Scheduled two appointments for my dogs back to back, I moved to the other side of town, but decided to keep them as their vet. I was stuck in traffic (610) and running about 5 min late so I called to let them know. They told me they couldn’t see one pet and could wait until next available which was 2 hours later. Never again.
