THRIVE Affordable Vet Care - Aldine Houston, Texas

I've been taking my dogs to the 1960 location for a few years and its always been great until the last couple of weeks. Last week I made an appointment and they sent me a text to confirm. I confirmed but was told it went to another account so they canceled my appointment and said I could wait, but n the parking lot for an opening but that wasn't an option for me so I called and made another appointment for today to bring 2 of my dogs in. I followed their instructions and followed the link they texted to me to check in. I waited outside for 20 min and no one called me so I went in and was told since I didn't come in to check in that they can't get me in now! My time is just as valuable as theirs and that is unacceptable so I told the receptionist I'd find another vet and she says "that's fine too"! Unprofessional and I won't ever go back to that location. You're automated responses to these reviews are also unprofessional and you should "look into" that too!

Took my running nose cat to there. Was my first time to this clinic, they all so friendly and helpful, they took good care of my cat, also the price is reasonable. The office visit is$47.50 if you don't have thrive plus membership. Overall, it's a really nice experience.

Old staff was better like two years ago, now they’re Kinda rude and seem to not be compassionate to pet or pet owner. The vet was nice but the rest of the staff wasn’t my cup of tea and didn’t seem helpful at all. Go somewhere else and not really affordable

They were amazing. My dog was passing away as I was pulling up and they met me outside and took care of everything during one of the hardest things I had to watch.

As an experienced animal rescuer and pet supply store owner I have become very familiar with many of Houston’s veterinarian clinics over the past 8yrs and this is HANDS DOWN my favorite. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful! They work as a team to ensure short visits and wait times and are always eager to answer questions. I wish I could take this team with me to Dallas when I move.

Dr Leah Myles was thorough and although she gave me bad news, she was soft and caring with the way she delivered the news and how to proceed with care. Will change my home Thrive location to this one specifically so Dr Myles can treat my pets.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!! The packages online are great! Booked my 3 month old pitbull an appointment for her second round of vaccines. I was told $60 covers vaccines, check up, dewormer, and parasite screening. Upon arrival the front desk clerk wasnt very professional. Then told me it was $66 for vaccines alone. Another $35 for the wellness check up. $23 for dewormer. Then when i mentioned that thats not what it says online she basically didnt care. Was nonchalant when I told her to cancel the appointment. Really 0 stars.

We’ve been taking our dogs here for years. Asked for an emergency appointment today at 4:30 and was told they won’t take anyone since they are closing at 6. Absolutely terrible and uncaring. Will find a new vet for now on

They took great care of my girl and costs were reasonable

Got an appointment right away to get my baby Lula spayed. The staff was nice and very informative in all my questions before and after the surgery.

Great staff and clean exam rooms. The vet explained everything nicely. I paid my balance on my phone though a link. Very easy experience.

Perfect place for your pet

We usually have amazing experiences here. I’ve been taking my dogs here for a few years now and everyone here is usually so kind. Even when I made an appointment at the wrong location, when I arrived at the Aldine location, they still managed to fit me in very quickly so I wouldn’t have to go try to make it to the other vet. This time I went in because of a problem one of my dogs was having and I had already prepped myself for what the outcomes could be. The visit was going fine and everyone was so kind, then the vet (I believe their name was Dr. Garrison) comes in and is not compassionate at all. She was there for less than a minute. Walks in and tells us the problem while talking fast and leaves. Didn’t tell us if we were done or if we were supposed to wait for someone else to come back in. In the short time she was in the room she said “there are options if you can afford it, if not they’ll have to remove it.” Not “here is my recommendation,” “well if this was my pet, this is what I would do,” or “you can take her to the specialist at (insert specific name of aq office.)” Just “there are other options if you can afford it.” I went in KNOWING what the outcomes could be, but her delivery caused me to immediately start crying when she left the room. I wanted to repeat that our experiences with everyone else here have been amazing. My dogs are always stubborn or anxious and they’ve always handled them with care. However, this one-minute interaction during this one visit has me contemplating looking for a new office so I don’t have to interact with this vet again. Being a vet is not just having compassion for animals, you have to also have compassion for their families.

Came on 8/3/21 to get my kittens 2nd round of shots and I must say, as a first time cat mom I was so happy to meet such a caring vet. She was amazing and explained everything to meand answered every question I had while encouraging me. I left feeling confident and happy! Can't wait to come back for the third round of his shots! Thank you ????

Had to take my daughter's dog for his visit. Personally, I wasn't impressed. I use Champion Forest Animal Clinic for my dog. Their service is unbeatable!

I've taken my pets here and they have gotten great care. I maybe a bit more cautious than need be, but with the Thrive Plus plan I don't have to pay as much as I would at other veterinary clinics. They don't do emergency related issues. There are better equipped places, but normal pet concerns are definitely met here. My only gripe would be the few times I received the incorrect flea medication. Be sure to double check and they will gladly replace or refund.

I have been coming here for the past year. Never had a problem till last week that I scheduled an appointment for my dog. He needed to be seen for an ear hematoma.They said they would schedule my pet in 8 days because they were full. I waited all the week just so they can call me and tell me the day before that they dont treat dogs with hematomas! Are you serious my dog waited a whole week for nothing I could of taken him somewhere else. That's why I am giving them this review other than that I like it here very clean and professional.

I love taking my dogs to Thrive because they receive such great care. The best vet tech ever is Tracee, I highly recommend her helping with your dogs needs. She is very professional, shows love, and affection like if it’s her own dogs.

Thrive is affordable and get you in and out in a timely manner but Tracee is the absolute BEST. She definitely has so much knowledge and is so helpful.
