We couldn't take our two small dogs there because they put all sizes of dogs in the same room.

PUPDATE #3: Winnie loves her new family at the Palace. Such a kind family. She used to be nervous on arrival, NOW she literally smiles and runs in the door! UPDATE: I have been taking my pup once a week to daycare and while she is a shy dog, she is learning to look forward to going each week! She is always nervous at drop off but by the time I pick her up, she is WILD with excitement. While I haven't ever heard what happened the day I waited for an hour past opening, we haven't had any more issues with staff tardiness and overall the staff is genuinely kind. Hopefully that won't happen again. Took my pup for evaluation (she’s quite shy) and when I picked her up, she LOVED IT. Unfortunately, I was never notified when her evaluation was over (it was supposed to be at 11am so I went, tried to open then door, and waited in my car for about an hour). Ultimately, this inconvenience was minimal. Today is her first day of daycare. I called yesterday to confirm 7:30 arrival time and that she would be attending. I showed at 7:30am... door locked. Another car arrived shortly, and waited for 20 minutes with me. No lights on inside and now cars outside. I asked the other customer if this is common and he assured me it only happens once in a while and they’re only 10-15 minutes late. It’s now 8:15 and no one is here. I’m sitting here waiting and hoping they’ll show soon as I have work and cannot travel back home as that would put me at work even later. I really want to love this business and hopefully my dog can continue to, but being horribly late to work and risking getting fired because the staff cannot arrive on time might not be worth it. (Especially since I purchased $500 of daycare in advance. I might need to see if a refund is possible.) I will update this review if anything changes.

I love this place. I used a Groupon and tried them out 2 months ago and have been a regular customer ever since. I love how reliable they are and how great they are with customer service satisfaction. Anthony has the greatest attitude and is always so positive and cheerful. I’m comfortable leaving my pets here.

I’ve tried a few places in the houston area and this is one of my favorites! They are really good about communication and were very patient with me! (I get very picky about my Eskies care) Kody loves their daycare and he is happy after their grooming.

My dog just loves it there! This is the only place she gets groomed and she is never scared! I have also left her there when I am out of town and she is always happy!

We bring our senior dogs here almost every month and receive excellent customer service.

We took our 6 month old puppy who hates getting bathed. They did a great job.

Staff here was SO nice! Will be referring my friends! Brought my goldendoodle in for a spa bath and was so pleased when I picked him up! He was so happy and fluffy! Some groomers don’t get him fluffy when they blow him dry and I was so excited to see how fluffy they got him! My dog seemed to have a good experience and was calm and comfortable with the staff (always a good feeling after you drop your pup off somewhere new) highly recommend!!

This is the 3rd time in a row and possibly 6th overall through the course of 4+ years that I have picked up my pet with a viral or bacterial infection from this place. Despite being run by nice people, this place does not meet minimal health or safety requirements. The last 2 times cost me an ER visit upwards of $500 and a very unhappy pet! It is conveniently located but not worth the additional discomfort and risk to my pet. Clean up your act guys!

I want to start by saying my girl is a rescue, and very very skittish. We just moved to Houston though and are not home enough so I needed to know she could be somewhere that would treat her like she was at home. I found the Pets Play Place and was a little worried at first, but after going there I can confidently say there is no where else I would trust my furbaby to be. William and his brother greeted me, and more importantly, Sally with open arms and took AMAZING care of her. I cried when I dropped her off because I was so worried. They weren't annoyed when I called throughout the day to check on her. In fact, they walked me through all they did with her and how she was responding...and it was an HONEST assessment. When I picked her up at the end of the day, I could tell she was happy and comfortable. I can't wait to take her back tomorrow. Thank you guys for giving me somewhere to leave my girl during the work day where I know she will be safe, well cared for, and dare I say-- loved!

It feels a little gross and dreary there but the customer service is phenomenal and prices are reasonable.

Well, well, well! After weeks of searching, we've finally found Bailey's new groomers!! Bailey is very special to us, as she is our first pet ever...11 months...Pomeranian/Poodle Mix. From the first call, with Virginia, to the actual appt...we were pleased. I love excellent customer service and Anthony displayed just that. He answered every question and told me all about their services. He was very thorough and understanding of what we wanted for Bailey Zen. Although she cried, outside of that, she did great! When we returned to pick her up, she was happy, playful and groomed perfectly!! With that being said, we'll see you in 6 to 8 weeks!!! #BaileyZenNewPalace #thankyou

I have been using pet play palace for awhile and I love them! They are great people who love dogs. My pup Luke is not a fan of baths and hate the blow dryer but they always take good care of him. I would recommend this place to anyone. Also I think their prices are fair and reasonable.

Family owned and managed. Not much to look at, but my dog enjoys the daycare. Always busy. Great location to drop off your dog if you are going to the Texas Medical Center.

Booked a spa package appointment for both my rescue pups. One is a 65lb pit bull mix and the other a 7lb terrier/ chihuahua mix. I was surprised they accepted my pit bull mix since most places are breedist. The pups were fresh and clean! And looked great in their matching bandanas! The staff was courteous and answered all our questions. This family owned place is legit!

Ok these people are seriously the nicest people ever. I bought a groupon for them, since Groupon said they were less than 5 miles away, but I put their address into my GPS right before my appointment, and found out they were 30 miles away. So I called them rght away to cancel my appointment. They were so understanding. I was outside the 3-day return policy with Groupon, so I told them I couldn't get a refund, and they were like "You should totally still get your refund! Call groupon and if they won't give it to you, we will." They totally could've just kept their cut of what I paid for the Groupon, but they were just so sweet and understanding. So, with their encouragement, I called Groupon and told them what the owners said and got Groupon credit for it. Seriously, if I didn't live an hour away, I would totally go to this place. I wish I lived closer. :/ Thank you for being so awesome. You are such sweet people.

Never received my appointment confirmation for my pup bath spa. They told me they don't do appointments in the afternoon .when a week prior they said they're available from 10-4 pm. Sort of rude for costumer services and will not use their services ever again.

Convenient location next to a lot of pretty friendly apartment complexes!

I was shopping for a place closer to where i live to take my dog CJ to get his haircut. They did a WONDERFUL job grooming him. They listened to what I wanted and did it just right. The prices were a bit more expensive when compared to what I used to pay (from about $44 to $55). However, I also took into consideration the location of the groomer and I honestly thought it was a fair increase. I definitely will be coming back for future grooming.

The worst feeling in the world is walking away from your pet when you drop them off to be boarded. The pets play place make it a lot easer to go on vacation and not worry about my little guy. My dog is difficult he has separation Anxiety. They all seem to love him there and give him a lot attention. They have the most convenient drop off and pick up times. This saves a lot of money because I don't have to leave him there an extra day. They also don't charge you per walk or extra play time or anything that other places charge. Everyone should board your pet here

I have used pet play palace twice as it is convenient to my job in the medical center. my dogs were groomed & stayed for day care. The wife said my dogs were extra squirmy so she did the best she could. My dog had a few nicks but I do that he is in fact super hyper. At this time they said they did great during day care. I recently dropped them off for day care a second time. This time I'm not pleased. I called to check in on them and he told me one of dogs had been too nervous all day & that her collar had been chewed on by another dog & that he would replace it. When I picked them up he told me my dogs weren't fit for day care and gave me a collar too big for my dog. I brought them food and asked if he had fed them. He replied he tried but they didn't want to eat. Their food bag had not been touched. When we got home they drank water like they had been thirsty all day. I am not pleased and will not take my dogs back.

It may not look like it, but this really is a wonderful place. It's family run and everyone is very nice. I've been taking my dog to their day care every week day for two months and he loves it. Everything is VERY reasonably priced and they also have great grooming services.
