We adopted a cat that kept attacking my son. We made the difficult decision to rehome him. He was adopted through special pals so we contacted them. At first we were told that a cat attacking a kid was unheard of and they wanted 80 dollars as an intake fee. Very condescending as I've had cats my whole life and, yes, they can definitely attack kids. I spoke to someone on the phone that said the email was incorrect and eventually we were told to bring him in. We did make a donation when we took him in, but that's different that asking an 80 dollar fee. In the end we were helped, but not before we were made to feel incompetent. We won't be adopting for a long time. Until my son is older. But it won't be from here. Also I thought they were no kill but they made us sign a form acknowledging they euthanize animals...

I am a devoted Foster mom and a Foster fail mom as well and I would not go any other place that is not here because not only do they treat you like family they are also very caring and loving to other animals.

I adopted my sweet baby cookie “lavender” at the time from here and she is so wonderful she has brought so much joy to my family, the staff was great they helped make my experience adopting a puppy wonderful

They do not tell you the true about your puppy and don’t care that they did not meet you expectations as long as they get the money my puppy which I love but sadly have to sell him he messed up my whole apartment ate my couch broke doors bite my son very aggressive when walking in the doggy park barks all day and night this is not my first puppy and I never experienced anything like this SPARKY I love him But he is no longer a member of my household today a better shelter no kill shelter need help finding him a very good home don’t get me wrong sparky is a very living puppy I love him so much but with me having a new baby I know it’s best to sell him or let him go

We adopted our puppy from here! They were extremely knowledgeable and had a lot of very cute pets.

Horrible service. They completely ignored me and my family. We signed some forms they said to sign and after that they flipped over our form in front of us and disregarded us. Horrible I feel like it was racially motivated. Everyone else got great service and actually had help. NEVER GOING BACK. sucks since I just wanted to help and adopt an animal in need of a loving home.

These folks are great, they really care!

The employees genuinely care about the animals and facility. They are a 'no kill' shelter too. Even though the facility has short hours open to the public, the volunteers and employees are working around the clock to make sure the animals get the constant care they need. They do more than just finding you a pet. They find you a best friend.

Clean facility. The employees were friendly and accommodating. Many animals need a good home. Check it out!

Found two dogs running down the road and Special Pals helped me chip check them and find their mama! Thanks ladies for all your help!

Love this place I guess a couple months ago I adopted a little miniature schnauzer Corgi he's beautiful very healthy the people there are very friendly and courteous and will work with you and make you feel like you're at home and also I'll be back to adopt again they're wonderful people

Was looking for small breed dog or puppy and they had none. Too bad I don't have more space for a large dog. Those were plentiful.

Wonderful place to adopt a dog or cat. They also have a great low cost vaccination clinic.

Great place to adopt a pet. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable adoption application and fees. Animals all look well cared for and seem happy. I recommend this rescue facility!

Staff is friendly and facilitynis very clean. You can see that the staff/volunteers truly care about the fur babies. I took in a stray kitten for a wellness check and shots, the visit was quick.

I adopted Moonpie my cat here 2 years ago, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. She was originally $75, but I got her for $20! They even gave me a free carrier cage. I love her so much and she is my entire world. Thank you for bringing her to me. Update!! I adopted another cat for my brother here named Zippy, however we had to return him because Moonpie was being very violent towards him. The staff were so nice and made the process less painful. I hope Zippy finds a new home????????Also I bought their shirt and it is now my new favorite shirt. Very comfy!!

We adopted al and he is so amazing he is the sweetest thing ever!

Great place! I got my baby Caramel from here! I take her there for her puppy shots as needed, a cheap mani-pedi and heartworm medication. Great staff, Uncle David love a all of his furry children lol He always remembers Caramel and she absolutely loves him. They really care about the animals, you can see their genuine hearts shine through.

Our experience here finding a dog to adopt was pretty easy. Then again sometimes you just get lucky. Our little chihuahua mix bonded almost immediately. I can't speak for those that might have to spend more time finding a pet, but our experience was fairly quick, but non-rushed. The facilities looked clean and the dogs available for adoption seemed well taken care of. The staff were very friendly, and I believe that they work off donations. Maybe people should stop throwing their money at corrupt politicians and spend it at places like this. The world might be a better place.

Dogs seem to be afraid of some of the staff but everything seemed clean.
