Very nice vet that came to help our dog cross rainbow bridge. It was as nice and comfortable as that process can be.

My husband and I found Lap of Love online when we realized that our sweet cat Biscuit was ready to say goodbye. Making the appointment over the phone was so easy, and the person I spoke to was so understanding and helpful. We made an appointment for a time about 2 days after I called, and it was nice to be able to spend some more time with our boy and snuggle him. Dr. Christina was amazing. She was so kind and helpful during such an emotional moment for our family. She explained the process thoroughly, and allowed us time to say goodbye and hold him as he passed. Every moment with Dr. Christina felt very professional, yet loving. I will definitely recommend Lap of Love to our family and friends.

I've used Lap of Love twice. Both times the Vets have been kind, caring, reassuring and totally professional. I felt like my pets were respected and my feelings cared for. I would recommend completely for a difficult time.

Lap of Love was everything we'd hoped for. They helped us with our decision to say good bye to our fur baby, Maddie. We miss her dearly. Dr. Guillory was very thoughtful, sensitive and handled our girl with grace. We're so very grateful and at peace with our decision. Thank you.

My family would like everyone to know what a great service Dr Guillory provides for people who want the best end possible for a beloved family member. Lap of Love did a perfect job for something so difficult for us. We appreciated their service greatly.

I recently had to to have my baby Mable euthanized. I am so grateful that I was able to retain the services of Lap of Love. Everyone I spoke to and dealt with was so compassionate and caring. Dr. Christina is an angel. There is no way to make the loss of a pet easy, but she helped me so much and was able to gift my baby with a peaceful passing. She also did a quality of life exam ( Mable had cancer) and made me feel more secure about letting her go. This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and even though it broke my heart, I didn’t want my baby to suffer. I never felt rushed and the experience was very personal and never felt clinical. I would recommend this service to anyone who has a pet in need of hospice care and euthanasia.

The Lap of Love team is absolutely amazing. From the initial call to the final goodbye I could not have had a better experience. Dr. Melanie came to my house and allowed me time and preference in when and where to say my final goodbyes. She was so kind and made one of the worst experiences of my life seem bearable. The after email and card were just so heartfelt and personal-thank you so much! This company and their employees really care. I would recommend them as the best. I have never had to go through this before, but I would never even want to know what else our area has to offer because they are that amazing. Thank you so much Dr. Melanie for helping Leah go over the rainbow bridge so kindly and professionally at the same time. I wouldn't have wanted Leah to ride shotgun after passing with anyone else. Thank you team Lap of Love!

Had a compassionate, caring, peaceful ending for my 19 year old cat. Was a little pricey but everything was top notch from ease of scheduling to the choice of aftercare options, everything was perfectly presented and performed.

Everyone at Lap of Love was professional and compassionate. From the employees that took my call to the veterinarian that came to the house. Cannot recommend this business enough when its time to help a beloved pet cross the rainbow bridge.

I called all around yesterday trying to find someone to help us with our final hours with our dog Bella. Long and short is they acted as if they cared and wanted to be supportive. Quoted me a price for euthanasia and cremation. Let's just say 500 for euthanasia and 225 for cremation. Arrival set for 8 pm. My dog died at 6 pm. I called and told them that and suddenly the price of cremation changed to 425. Funny how the changes in two hours. I wouldn't trust this place to bury a bug let alone a beloved pet. How are there people like this?

Although we weren't able to afford having them come out and help us during these horrible times, they were beyond kind and caring on the phone. I would reccomend them to others in need of help with their loved pet

What an incredible gift Lap of Love was for me and our fur baby. We didn't want to take her to the vet, where she would be scared, so we wanted her to be at home, the place she loved most. From the initial call to today, when we received a personalized and sincere sympathy card, the process was as easy as possible...considering the circumstances. The staff that took my call was understanding and offered comfort during one of the most difficult decisions of my life. She was able to answer any questions I had, and they sent me an email with more information on what to expect when they came. Dr. Gulliroy came to our house, exactly within the specified time frame, and was incredible!! She knew our dog's name, and was loving on her before we went to the backyard. She let us have our time with her before she got started. She explained everything that would happen with such kindness and genuine compassion. It really made it a tiny bit easier. She took her time, never once rushed us, and allowed us the chance to say goodbye alone before our dog was gone. The clay paw already has a prominent place in our house and is something we will treasure forever. Thank you, Lap of Love!!

I could just cry while writing this review. I lost my baby Kidd on November 20th, deciding to let him go at home for comfort. Although I still beat myself up sometimes, I’m still happy and grateful his physical ending was with LapofLove Dr. Christina Guillory. A little backstory: I very much regret letting my girl go a couple years back at an emergent animal hospital because it was late at night and was concerned of costs. However, they didn’t know her and wanted to do an assessment without me in the room (that already tore me apart), they had her stand up and walk which put her in more agonizing pain (I could hear from another room with closed doors) with her osteosarcoma. The physician there wasn’t too empathetic either, but definitely could see she is in much pain and could hardly stand walking. The total costs came out to be way more than I would’ve spent for at home euthanasia even for late night. After that, I really preferred at home euthanasia. I do know, not all office/hospital euthanasias will have similar experiences as I have experienced a prior one which was handled with more delicate manners, but the most recent left a bad taste in my mouth. Fast forward to late November, I called LapofLove and left a message. Less than an hour later I received an apologetic call back for not answering earlier with someone so sweet behind the phone, who I’m certain was Kara. She was extremely kind and very informative. The next day, I met Dr. Christina and she was very polite. As we take off shoes in our culture in the home, my spouse asked Dr. Christina if she could take hers off. I informed Dr. Christina that it was not a big deal and please leave her shoes on, that the focus would be on my Kidd. However, she was absolutely respectful and took hers off anyways. My Kidd seem very comfortable with her, but something felt as though he was depressed-whether it was the new pain medication, knowing mommy is deciding to let him go, or his pain-I will be saddened to never know. However, he can be aggressive with doctors and he was comfortable with her. I even doubted whether I should continue with my decision to which Dr. Christina was absolutely fine if I decided not to follow through the day of and suggested I promptly get him seen by a specialist if I decided otherwise. However, knowing his condition and how having tried to set up appointments with specialists and the wait time just to get seen, I decided to go forth and we continued and she left me with words of comfort, a paw print with his name, a card, and stayed with me longer than probably necessary. I even had questions after the process when she had left already, and she called back soon after. Dr. Christina also followed up with an email and I’m so grateful for her. It seems hard to believe how compassionate they were, whether it’s absolutely genuine or not, it definitely was comforting and somewhat reassuring. I appreciated that I was not rushed into anything I had second thoughts about. I loved how kind they were. I am so appreciative of Dr. Christina for her words of knowledge and empathy. I highly recommend LapofLove. Just at least giving your fur baby a piece of comfort in a heartbreaking time.

We have used this service twice. We promised our rescues and ourselves if given the opportunity we would always do an at home compassionate farewell. At almost 16 years old we knew it was time for our Girl. It was one of the absolute hardest things I've ever done but the most beautiful. She was able to be in her home, surrounded by her family, we got to be with her through it all. The doctor was so amazing, so kind. It was a true gift to be able to do this rather than at the vets office.

While I wish that no one ever had to say good bye to their fur-baby, I can say that Dr. Christina did everything that she could to make our dogs last moments all about love, family and comfort. She was compassionate, patient, caring and listened to stories about our girl. She never rushed us and thoroughly explained everything so that we knew what to expect. I can not recommend Dr. Christina highly enough.

The experience was very smooth and my kitty was not stressed at all. Dr. Catherine did a wonderful job of making sure my kitty and me were both taken good care of to the extent that it is possible during such a very sad time. Highly recommend.

Our dog Carl hated the vet more than cats, tile floors and baths put together. So I knew that his last experience on this earth and our last memory of him couldn't be at a vet. So I googled it and found Lap of Love. And we are so thankful I did. I called and made an appointment for Dr. Leanne to come out and help us put our sweet sweet boy to rest. Making the decision was hard but the thought of actually saying good bye was impossible. And a billion doubts ran through my mind. How can I put him down, he still wags his tail when I come in the room. He still gets excited about dinner time. So when the day came and my mom said "Nikki She's here." I just started bawling. The thought that it was time to say goodbye seemed absolutely impossible. It seemed impossible until Dr. Leanne walked directly to me, and hugged me. "This must be your boy," she said. I can't remember word for word the rest of the things she said to us that day. But from the moment she hugged me I felt at ease. Before anything else she looked at Carl. And maybe the tone of my voice asked the question that I couldn't say or maybe Dr. Leanne is just that intuitive. But as I finished telling her about his cancer and his weight loss she validated all the unsaid thoughts I had in my head. She said yes, his stomach is big but he has muscle wasting. The panting can be a sign of anxiety. She also told me exactly what I needed to hear to be at peace before we put him to rest- that we were making the right choice. That it's better to say goodbye to our friends when they still have some good days rather than wait until the days are all bad. Dr. Leanne walked us through everything step by step before it happened- and because it meant something to me she let me know exactly what medications she would be gibing him. First she gave him a shot that would put him to sleep slowly- just a nice nap. She had us give him some cookies while she gave him the shot and he LOVED that. He scarfed his oreos and she gave him a shot and our handsome boy went to sleep. And when he fell asleep his face relaxed and we all realized that it had been too long since we had seen him so relaxed. We had all the time we needed with him while he was taking his nap... to kiss him...pet him...love him... just one more time. I don't remember Dr. Leanne saying any words while all of this was happening. But her support and comfort permeated the air. Without disturbing us she made an imprint of Carl's paw and then let us know when we should say our final good byes. Once it was over, with her voice and demeanor saturated with compassion- Dr. Leanne let us know- "He's at rest." Even after he was gone it just really looked like he was sleeping. This was unfortunately not the first time I had to say goodbye to a dog but it was by far the most peaceful and most heart warming. After she left and in the weeks that followed we spoke often and fondly about Dr. Leanne. We couldn't imagine how a person could possibly do the job she does. Especially someone as kind, caring, sweet and empathetic as Dr. Leanne. But we thank God she chose this career. She was made for it. And I can't even begin to put into words the peace she brought us, the comfort she brought us, and the love she showed Carl in his last minutes. We will never forget Carl and we will never forget the angel that came to bring him peace. No one wants to say good bye to their pet. But when it's the best thing we can do for them you want Dr. Leanne there. To comfort them and to comfort you.

Dr. Lambo came, as well as a trainee. Both were amazing. Such a difficult job task and they do it with honor, respect and empathy.

We had scheduled to put our sweet boy down due to old age and health issues. He ended up passing away peacefully in his sleep the night before his appointment. We called to cancel and they were so sincere about him passing more peacefully. They even mailed a hand written condolence card to us. These people will take amazing care of your furry loved ones, we didn’t use them but they were still so wonderful to us. Thank you so very very much the card really meant a lot.

Our little munchkin girl, Turtle, was so sweet and precious to me and my husband. It was unfair that she had gotten cancer so young, and I was so sad. Dr Tina made her passing so gentle and kind, and I am forever grateful. I was able to hold her and we said goodbye. Thank you so much. Don’t hesitate to call. It’s so worth it.

This is by far one of the best-run companies in the Houston area. We decided to put our sweet baby to sleep, which is probably one of the hardest decisions any person has to make. The worst day ever lives was made easier and more peaceful with Lap of Love. The vet that came out was extremely sweet and sensitive to our emotions- which of course were all over the place. She was professional yet very nurturing during our appointment, and took care of everything efficiently without us feeling rushed through it. Afterwards we received our baby’s ashes back in a lovely wooden box customized with her name, with some sweet and inspiring literature for us to read. I highly recommend Lap of Love if you find yourself in that horrible, impossible situation. They will help you through the process in every way they can.

Every moment of my interaction with Lap of Love was positive. The representative Mike who gathered all of my information over the phone was very kind and helpful. The scheduling process was very easy. Dr. Leanne Mathew was professional yet so personable and gentle. I appreciate her sweet demeanor and how she emphasized that she was there to help my fur baby. Despite it being our first time ever meeting, she knew all about my precious dog from thoroughly reading all of the intake information in my file. My family and I greatly appreciated her warmth and kindness. I knew my pet was in the best possible hands when in Dr. Leanne's care during such a sad time.

From the initial phone call to get information, the phone call to set up an appointment and the actual appointment with Dr. Guillory at our house - all I can say is that they are amazing! Everyone made the day a little easier for me and I know that Dr Guillory did all that she could to help make the transition so easy for our beloved pet. I would recommend this group to anyone and everyone in the Houston area!!
