I called to ask a simple question and the woman who answered the phone was VERY rude and condescending. I’ve never been in, and after that phone call, I NEVER will come to this facility.

Dr Ewald and his staff are amazing, caring, attentive and treat you and your pets like you’re family.

Dr. Ewald is exceptional! We have a crazy dog who some how finds a way into the worst situations (she has eaten two bars of dark chocolate, a sewing kit, and half a golf ball on different occasions, to name a few!). Every time I call the front desk he always makes time to talk to me about what the next step is. He personally talks to me! What other vet does that. Honestly wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else.

He is so great with animals and is ver honest.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If possible I would take stars away. My Girlfriend and I got 2 puppies about a week apart from different breeders. Mine was a couple of weeks older and had 2 rounds of DHPP. We were told hers was up to date on shots as well. We get him home and he has blood in his poop. we took him to the vet first think the next morning, less than 8 hours after getting the puppy . Told Dr Ewald and expressed our concern the puppies and we thought it would be a good idea to restart his shots so we can be sure he got them (her breeder didn't provide shot records) Dr, Ewald agreed. We emphatically expressed our concern about Parvo. He said its probably worms but couldn't find any, then after another bloody poop we took him back and he found round worms (we have 2 little kids and this our daughters puppy) so he prescribed wormer and sent us on the way. Next bloody poop we find a tape worm.. guess what we go back and ask again about Parvo because he still has blood in his poop. He says no, the puppy is fine and prescribed more wormer. We had multiple phone conversations and trips to drop off samples and get meds (wormer). So today, 7/10/2019 the puppy, who by the way is 1.5 lbs. quits drinking and his gums are white. Call Dr Ewald and sends us to an emergency vet clinic.... Guess what, he has parvo. Dr. Ewald had a week and many visits and phone calls to diagnose Parvo that we were pretty sure the puppy had and he still missed it. Now Emergency vet clinc wants 2k and says it has less that 50/50 chance of making it. So no only is this unimaginable to happen to 1 puppy, he has exposed another because he is inept. We call Kirkwood Memorial Animal Clinic to let them know about the parvo issue and the expense at the emergency clinic. His response was, bring him here it will be cheaper. And that he didn't test the puppy for Parvo because he didn't think he had it. EVEN THOUGH we specifically asked for the test!

Experienced, caring and smart! Dr. Ewald always takes the time to listen, handles my dog gently (tough with a large German Shepard!) and has been unerring in his diagnoses and treatment. I would not go anywhere else!

Dr Ewald has been taking care of my dogs for almost 20 years. He is kind, compassionate and spot on with his diagnosis and treatment. All my babies have loved him.

We LOVE Dr. Ewald! We recently moved to Houston from Georgia and needed a good vet for our older dog. Dr. Ewald has been nothing but compassionate and caring and knowledgeable . He loves animals and it shows! He is also great about accommodating you even if you don't have an appointment. We had an emergency recently and needed our dog seen right away and he was happy to help! We highly recommend him!

We have recently moved, and we will no longer by able to use Dr. Ewald's service. He was my dog's veterinarian for the past 7 or 8 years. He always demonstrated caring, compassion and competence when examining and treating my dog. I can only hope that I will have the same level of confidence in our new veterinarian.

All our dogs have gone to Dr. Ewald for the past 26 YEARS!! He IS THE MOST WONDERFUL, VET EVER!!! He is so passionate with our animals, he treats them as if they are his own. I'm happy we have Dr. Ewald in our lives, all these years, but, have been worried sick over not being able to contact him after Hurricane Harvey. I hope and pray, him and his family are ok.

WONDERFUL VET. so caring, so knowledge . STAFF is caring and helpful. My cats are not even nervouse going there. They let kids bring in the pets if the parents can't make it and bill you later. It is nice and sweet.
