I’ve been coming to this vet for a little over 3 yrs! He is so caring and practical. He listens and informs you in detail. The ladies have been very kind and attentive. The first time I came here was to treat newly adopted dogs to be treated for parvo, although there’s no medication specific to it, he managed to address it and they overcame it!:D I also bring my two cats here. They were treated for multiple things over the time and it’s always been budget friendly. Very insightful and the prices are amazing for the care. Specially in comparison to others. Just picked up rx food for my cats and he remembered their case. Highly recommended!

I have been using this location all during Covid as my regular vet closed. They are very professional, informative, compassionate and accept Care Credit. One of the best vets I’ve every used and conveniently located!

I regret not remembering her name. It was either Brenda or Brianna, but my experience overall was reassuring and satisfying! The vet was thorough and I left me feeling better about my furbabies health. They eased my anxiety and I am grateful for that. I'm glad to have been referred here. It means a lot when the professionals are patient, willing to teach me how to make sure my pup is being cared for. Thank you for all that you do!

They’ve been great to me and my pups. The vet is friendly and although he stays busy, I never feel rushed. They have improved the interior and the assistants work to keep the environment clean and efficient.

I took my dog in late last week for a check up and to pick up meds. My visit started out rough but Brianda took the time to address the situation and make it better. Vet visits are not typically a pleasant experience but this individual treated us like family and made it an easy visit for both my pet and I. Thank you, Woodlake !

They're short staffed and running behind schedule all the time, if you value your time don't go there... Terrible place!

Called to ask about services and apparently the receptionist was having a bad day. Very short, quick to answer, and rude! I don’t care how affordable this company is, customer service goes a long way!

Wonderful and kind! They are so gentle and attentive to our cats. The Vet really cares about the animals and not just about selling you products. Very professional staff and very obtainable prices. I've taken my kitten who is no longer a kitten and our middle aged cat here as well. This is our vet and will be for as long as we live here. Thank you to the entire staff for taken care of our Furr Babies.

The techs and vet that work here are sweet people. They are transparent with their pricing (posted online) - that are very reasonable at that. Thank you guys!

The Doc takes great care of all six of my dogs. I am glad I found him, because I have had some bad experiences with other vets and he takes his time and really talks you though what you need to know about your pets.

Love this vet. All prices are available on their website, they allow you to fill prescriptions, food, etc. on Chewy or other online pharmacies. The only other place we've found in Houston with lower prices is Pet Care Express (and it's just a few dollars cheaper) and they don't take appointments. We gladly will pay an extra few dollars to not have to wait in line in the morning for an appointment.

5 stars because the staff is friendly and efficient. The Dr came in, examined my fur baby real good and thoroughly. I could tell my baby was being well treated, they did an awesome job trimming her nails as well. Will absolutely come back here again & recommend from my neighborhood.

Wonderful staff. Very kind and patient especially with my psychotic cat. Very reasonably priced. I brought both my cat and dog for shots, heart worm test and microchips.

The staff here was very friendly to me. My problem is not with them at all. They heard my situation with my dog and immediately got me in an emergency appointment. My problem is with the actual vet who told me my dog was going to be okay. He prescribed me medicine and told me if my dog was experiencing symptoms longer Id need to get an ultrasound. I asked questions and made sure my dog was going to be okay and the vet said there was really no concern at all... but my dog passed THAT night... i just cannot trust this place. At all. I feel lied to, and really i wish I had known the situation was as bad as it was for closure, but now my little buddy is gone. And I paid for my $250 service for nothing. I couldnt even give my dog the medicine he was so gone. I appreciate the staff's helpful attitude, but the vet failed me completely.

Not a fancy or luxurious place but don't get wrong, they work diligently. Dr. Bommala is a great professional and a really nice guy. Four stars because sometimes you have to wait more than expected.

UPDATE (June 2021) Revised the star rating because fur baby had a dental cleaning, and everything went smoothly. For $99, he was anesthetized, and the tartar was scraped off his teeth. (I try to brush his teeth every night - as much as he lets me - but his teeth still had plaque build-up that turned into hard tartar, especially in the very back and the insides of his teeth.) Checked him in before 9, and was called by the vet's office at 12:40 to let me know that he was done. Thank you. PREVIOUSLY (2020) My dog was experiencing severe gastrointestinal distress and wasn't eating or drinking. Within an hour of being administered the 1st dose of metronidazole in suspension (prepared in-house), he was drinking an entire day's worth of water and eating. Later that night, Bamboo had an awful bloody, mucosey and runny stool. While I'm appreciative of how that was handled, I'm extremely disappointed about how Bamboo's recurrent skin lesions/infection/staphylococcus has been handled this far. Dr. Bommala prescribed Cefpodoxime for the first 3 rounds. However, as soon as his treatment ended, the staphylococcus flared back up, usually only after 1-2 weeks. Then he prescribed Enrofloxacin + Cefpodoxime together. (1) No discussion or warnings of side effects, ie, that it would cause my dog to be violently nauseous. In fact, Bamboo wretched horribly after each dose, and then be lethargic and listless, refusing any food or water for the remainder of the day. I tried to dose him in the evening, and same thing. Vomit and no eating or drinking anything the following day. (2) Also, there was no warning or discussion re the gigantic size of the pill. Clearly too large for a small dog to swallow. Even a normal human wouldn't be able to swallow these gigantic pills. So I tried to cut them down. The surface area of the bitter pill was increased so that Bamboo would run away and hide from the smell of it. No amount of peanut butter or melted cheddar cheese could cover it up. It was a 3 hr, 2 person struggle to force it down his throat. However, the worst was the vomiting and nausea, lethargy and refusal to eat or drink. PS, this dog will happily eat kale, grapefruit, orange, bitter melon even. He's not picky, and he's an excellent eater, unless he's very ill. The Enrofloxacin soft chews from BCP Pharmacy did still make him vomit, but not so nauseated that he couldn't eat at all. Perhaps not immediately after, but after a good night's sleep, he wasn't lethargic and sick, and most importantly, ate his breakfast, lunch and dinner. And these made-to-order chews cost < 1/2 what Woodlake charged for the tablets that scraped against his delicate throat tissue. Very unhappy about the lack of compassion.

Today I had the worst experience ever I took my dog to take The DHLPP. The nurse asked me if I want to give her the third vaccine and I told her no, because my dog had just take a bath and I didn’t want her to get tired. So she went and gave her the shot!!!! Then when she charge me more than the drugs . I asked her what was that she said I gave her the shot and I told her the one that I told you know about she was like yes!!!! It keeps your puppy safe!!! I specifically said no!!! What is that is that how would they treat the people they come and trust them with their dogs?? The worst nurse ever!!

He is very kind, friendly, and suggests the best. My dog feels so comfortable around him. Overall he is the best doc. Always recommend him. I come from the north to visit him. My dog trusts him, and he got treated and made him fit and OK again.
