It was a long process of trying to adopt a dog from other rescues and I almost gave up hope until I was referred to Dream from a friend at ATDR. From the very beginning, I had a wonderful experience! Cindy called me and was so sweet and helpful, Trisha was very informative and helpful, Paula was quick to provide Wilburs history and asked if there was anything else I needed. But what I loved and appreciated the most was Vikki and Robert (Wilbur’s foster parents). They are absolute angels and are a true blessing ❤️ We had lunch in Galveston where I met my little furbaby for the first time, and Vikki was always so helpful and sent me pictures daily until I was able to take him home and answered all of my millions of questions I had. She even checked in on Wilbur once I took him home to see how he was. We had a BBQ at their house where I got to meet their furbabys too and we’ve become friends. They are so sweet and genuine and I’m so happy they were his foster parents because they went out of their way to make sure Wilbur and I were taken care of. I’m very thankful for everyone who has been apart of my journey to rescue Wilbur. I’m so happy with my experience with Dream and I would recommend them to anyone who is wanting to adopt a dachshund. I couldn’t be happier and I finally have my “dream dog” from Dream Rescue ☺️

Wonderful but just too expensive to adopt. Would love one but will just have to keep an eye out.

I previously had two dachshunds that lived out their entire life with myself and my husband. I was finally ready to adopt another and reached out to Dream. They came very highly recommended from several veterinarians near me. It was an easy process - they do vet their applicants which I was impressed with knowing that some people have no idea what they are getting into when adopting a pet let alone a dachshund. Everyone I worked with was wonderful! We met our new fur baby this past Friday and it was love at first site. You can tell that the foster family took very good care of him. I appreciate everything that Dream does to help save and support their dogs! Thank you!!

We adopted our Milo from Dream Dachshund Rescue July 21, 2019 and he really is a dream ????❤️

The start of the adoption process was very good but very soon after I was emailed the go ahead I received zero communication and after explaining to the president that the dashhound was a gift from me to my father who lives with me was a gift due to his love and previous dog passing from old age they cut me off . I don't understand how a gift from me my father's son matters if anything that she be gold ! The home interview went flawlessly so sad these dogs cannot find a happy home due to this flaw in there system

Amazing experience getting my fur baby from here. The foster coordinator was able to find the dog that fit perfectly with my lifestyle and she was so full of knowledge on the breed in general. The foster family was amazing as well and such nice people. Now my little pup is attached to my hip. Great rescue! Update: 11/03/2020 Had my fur baby for about 6 months now and definitely the best decision I have ever made. He’s healthy, happy, and so loving.

This place is tremendously helpful when it comes to finding homes for dachshunds

I know they are very attentive to the calibre of home setting anyone of their dachshunds may go to. I respect that.

Serving a fantastic purpose to help place doxies

I contacted them for help for a dog in tulsa animal welfare (a high kill shelter). I know they are out of state but most places would have some knowledge of where to start for help. I didnt get a responce

For taking care of animals that may not have anybody to take care of them

Didn't want to adopt a human baby. Just wanted to find an awesome did for my dog.

Our two little dachshunds came to our family via DREAM and they are the best additions to our lives! The adoption process was thorough but that’s understandable so they find the little dachshunds the best homes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to add a weenie to their family.
