The best dog groomer we have ever used. Ruby is amazing! She was so kind, gentle and caring with our elderly dogs and our little ones just love her. The front office staff is always attentive. We've done doggy daycare as well and were equally pleased.

Great for daycare- not so wonderful for boarding. I took my dogs for a few weeks for daycare and they seemed to love it. I took them twice for boarding- on the first occasion I was informed on the last day of their stay that my dog had not received her meds the entire time she had been there because no one noticed them in the bag I had packed- even though her need for the meds are listed on her info form and I pointed them out at drop off. It wasn’t the end of the world because those meds are for an issue that’s more inconvenient than life threatening- but could have been a huge problem. The second time they boarded they both caught kennel cough. It sent my older dog into an intense downward spiral that took thousands in vet bills to recover from. They were both vaccinated. Either one of those incidents wouldn’t be a huge concern for me. Stuff happens. But both together make me not want to bring them back. I haven’t had the courage to take them anywhere after taking almost two months to get my senior dog healthy again from kennel cough.

We've been going to BOTB for 2 years now with our sweet 15 year old Westie. They are so caring and gentle with her, and are always prompt to make sure she is done early. We love Bone on the Bayou!!!

If you have a golden doodle go to another place. I have been bringing my dogs here for 2 years now and usually 3 out of 5 times they provided a decent service. We kept coming back due to it being so close to us. However every time I asked for ear cleaning we never got it or they would do it partially. It’s frustrating when you pay close to $200 and they come up with excuses for not performing a service. They even told me to come back but once I did they went back on their word…. Will not be returning and I will be filing a claim with my credit card company regarding the charge

Great place for dog grooming in the heights. Prices are on the higher side, but you get what you Pay for. I am always pleased with my dog’s appearance afterwards.

Can I volunteer to help? I love dogs and would just love to come by and lend a pair of loving hands anytime. Totally awesome name, btw.

Let me begin by saying I used to love coming here. I would make the drive from Sugar land or Humble depending where I was at. I know over time they have had some management issues but regardless they always did their job. The last couple of times my dog Mr. coco wasn’t being service the same way. I told them the issue and they told me it wouldn’t happen again. Well this last time once again they forgot to clean my dogs ears and due to their negligence my dog contracted an ear infection. I contacted them immediately and let them know what had happen. Someone reached out to me saying how the person who handle my dog before was no longer there and the person responsible for my last session was going to be advice to do a better job next time. To which I reply if they were going to pay for my vet bill. Two weeks later I’m yet to hear back from them. It’s unfortunate that this is how they treat their customers even after all the business I have sent their way and been a loyal patron. You would think for a place that charges almost 80 for a dog grooming session they would do a much better job, keeping and maintaining their customers. That being said it breaks my heart that I will no longer come here as I can no longer trust them with my furr babies but what is more infuriating is their lack of responsibility even after admiring to their own fault. I should not be paying unnecessary vet bills. As a person who knows how to run a business let me advice you, you are going the wrong way about it. I can assure you that myself and of my friends who have been going here will immediately stop all business with you. I hope that if you guys continue with your poor services that eventually you shut down. I’m not going to wish you well when Clearly you don’t care two cents about your furry clients. Is not about the 200 vet bill that you cause it’s about the principle of how you do business.

I remember when this was 20th street, doggy day care. I miss it because right before the name change, tge demeanor of the place as a whole changed drastically, the employee turn over rate seems high, I rarely see anyone I know anymore when I pick up my babies, that really upsets me because if they always new people then my babies are with strangers.... Not cool, I want to know that when I drop them off, they will be cared for by the same crew and staff repeatedly.. New people take time to see if they are going to be able to understand my pups. They're rescued and were abused, so they don't do well with new people all the time. Just putting that out there, other than that and the dogs seem really crammed most of the time. They need yards, bigger ones at least. Especially the big dogs.

Groomers, like barbers or hairstylists, vary wildly in quality and ability to understand what you want. Bone on the Bayou is a real gem in that regards. I’ve been using their services since they opened their doors (as 20th street groomers), and couldn’t be happier with their work, professionalism, and rapport with my fur babies. Don’t settle for the groomer at some pet store chain when you can have real expertise at comparable cost!

Definitely upset after taking my dog in for his first grooming today. As a first timer, you would think options would be explained very clearly. I spoke with the lady on the phone that I made an appt with and she said my dog could stay until 6pm if he came in for grooming--this would make me think that means they will keep my dog for daycare for the day. I was excited because my dog loves playing with other dogs so I told my husband not to pick him up until 6pm then so he could play. Around 4pm they call to say he's done with grooming and suggest that next time I also put him in daycare--WHAT? So my dog has been locked up all day long? I feel like via phone and when I dropped my dog off I made it clear that I was happy my dog would get some play time--why was this not conveyed?? They mentioned they walk him of course and give him water but when we picked up my dog around 5:30pm and got him home -- he full peed in the house 4 TIMES! this has never happened before. He doesn't ever potty in the house, but seemed to have to go that much that badly, something is off, not to mention he was dehydrated. I'm extremely upset by the lack of communication and the care of my dog. I will say the grooming is what I asked for and I can't complain on that front. However, if someone is new to your boarding, maybe consider explaining the entire process to them. I would've picked my dog up MUCH earlier had I known.

Our pup has been going to bone on the bayou for over a year now. It is absolutely his favorite place to be. The staff is fantastic! They all know Max by his name and now know us when we pick him up. I love that I don’t have to be shy about asking how his day was. The staff is always eager to tell me when his best friends are at daycare too or about how much he played. He’s a very high energy pup, which can make him challenging; nonetheless, the staff at bone on the bayou are amazing with him! I highly recommend bone on the bayou for daycare, bathing and boarding. Your pup will love it!

Heartbreaking and neglectful. Our golden retriever had been going to Bone on the Bayou for doggie day care and loved it. We boarded her there for the first time last week. Hot spots happen. Especially with long haired pups. I'm not blaming the business for her getting a hot spot but using the word neglect is not inappropriate to describe Bone on the Bayou's response. Lily needed vet care and we were out of the country. Unfortunately BOB couldnt get a hold of us. They left a voicemail but I didn’t get it until the next day. Instead of calling my vet or my emergency contact they let our poor dog suffer. Hot spots get bad quickly. Over 24 hours later I get spotty cell phone reception. I assumed they had already taken her to the vet but no. I had to coordinate with our friend to come pick up lily and transport her to the vet. Difficult to do while overseas. The delay in getting lily to the vet caused her serious harm. She was in a tremendous amount of pain and had to be sedated - normally you can do anything to this dog. The owner was profusely apologetic and admitted that her staff did not follow their own protocol to call my emergency contact or take her to the vet directly. Ultimately resulting in at least a day delay. Unfortunately apologies can't undo their neglect. If the dog was treated in a timely manner we could have treated her with mild meds instead of sedation and strong steroids. Also note that the pictures are after 5 days of healing. The hot spot on her back is the size of my fist! The one on her cheek is DEEP. Don't board your dog here. I wouldn't trust them to keep a plant alive.

I boarded my 2 dogs here for 9 days, and had a very positive experience from the temperament test (they give you cute report cards with their photos), through their time at boarding. The staff is extremely responsive, and communicated with me throughout their boarding experience. They called me twice with various updates, and I messaged them on Instagram to just ask for a picture of them, and received back a long message with a full update on how they were doing, and several cute photos of them. The communication from the staff really gained my trust and put me at ease. It is clear they really care about the dogs, and want their owners to know they are in safe hands. They are able to play throughout the day outside, and are kenneled at night, so they get plenty of fresh air and exercise. My dogs had not been boarded in several years, and I just picked mine them up after an extended stay and they look very well taken care of, showed no signs of stress, were well fed and hydrated, and are worn out! They have both experienced anxiety and stress at previous boarding facilities which is why I switched to in-home boarding several years ago, however they both look great and so happy! **Update- They are both passed out and happy to be home, but I am sure they miss their new friends at the Bayou! Thank you Bone on the Bayou for your incredibly friendly and communicative staff, and for taking care of my girls this past week. -Laura, Dakota and Ellie

I have been going there since they took over the business. At least 11 years. They love my 3 sons & treat them like their own. I don't worry when I have to board them. Derrick is an exceptional groomer and works wonders on making them look spiffy.

New to town and thought this place look lex. adorable and wanted to get my puppy groomed at a local place. Ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve made! The groomers are all super helpful explaining what they are going to do and no surprise charges. My new go-to for grooming and daycare/boarding.

I’ve left my dog here for daycare and recently Used them for last minute boarding. I call in to check up on pup and I always get the most enthusiastic call back. Letting me rest assure that my pup is doing well. I have enjoyed using them thus far and definitely recommend. They really do give you a safe feeling to leave you dog with them. Very caring staff. I’d love pictures of my pup while in daycare is the only suggestion I’d leave. They do have an Instagram they use. Thanks for caring for my pup!

This is the first time that I’ve ever left my pups at a daycare or for boarding. They both loved daycare so much, that when it came time to board overnight, I was feeling pretty comfortable. The staff is great and take great care of my two pups. Now, we’re taking them once a week when we can make it. It’s a great place for interaction with other pups too! Highly recommend!
