Excellent resource for pet meds. They can compound certain medicine that can be absorbed topically (super helpful for cats!). They can also mix liquid oral medicine with flavoring so it is easy to administer it to my cats and dog. After your veterinarian office sends the prescription, be sure to call BCP to let them know you want it filled and set up payment for it so it will be processed.

Our Pomeranian was diagnosed with Addisons Disease a few years ago and our Vet office set us up with BCP and all’s we can say is we are so Thankful to be able to order from BCP as they are so nice and professional and best of all our Pom she is happy and healthy and loves her Chicken flavor added to her medication. She thinks her medication is so Yummy!!! We tried a local compound pharmacy and price was higher and never ready when we were sent to pick it up. We order with delivery service from BCP and it still cheaper and the best service! Thank you to the owner and staff!!!

I cannot rave about these guys enough. Their customer service and prompt replies are stellar, they are always so nice and helpful, and they're prices are fantastic. I already had an RX in for my cat, but when my dog went to an emergency vet and the office became a nightmare to deal with, they took the RX on and got it filled asap at an even better price. I will never use anyone else but them for any of my pets, now and the future. Thank you BCP for making pet meds so easy!

Really fantastic compound vet pharmacy. Fast filling of Rx, and for Houstonians, some medications may be cheaper than some online pharmacies if you pick it up (shipping by FedEx = $12-14). My fur baby needed an antibiotic that was a gigantic tablet (too large to swallow unless broken up), but it was really bitter. BCP turned it into a very soft, squishy Velveeta-flavored cheese chew. Fur baby still could taste the bitterness, so it still needed to be completely covered up by cream cheese, but I was less concerned about him choking on such a giant thing. More importantly, Angie in the billing dept was efficient in setting up my new account. And one of the pharmacists, Chau, was incredibly helpful in discussing how to ameliorate the nausea and vomiting from this antibiotic, what time of day to give fur baby his medication (eg, breakfast or dinner) due to nausea and lack of appetite vs vomiting. We settled on dinner so that he can hopefully sleep off the nausea. Extremely friendly and helpful.

Was referred here by my vet and have had a positive experience each time I've visited. When I first called to fill the prescription the person who assisted me was helpful in getting everything set up. Now I can go online and refill. They call when it is ready, and curbside is very easy to do. If anyone has a cat needing topical thyroid meds, opt for the micro click pen for dosage. It's a few bucks more but worth every penny. Thanks, BCP! I wish that my senior kitty didn't need special meds but the convenience of your pharmacy is much appreciated.

Our first interaction with the pharmacy was top-notch. We ordered a refill of insulin for our cat. It arrived in a reused FedEx envelope. It had one cold pack that was no longer cold. The first delivery was securely wrapped and contained 2 cold packs that arrived cold and the insulin inside was cool to the touch. The insulin was "room temp". When my wife removed the vial from the package she noticed that there were small clumps of particles on the walls of the vial. She rolled then gently agitated the vial but the particles remained on the walls of the vial. I advised her to contact BCP and ask them to replace the insulin because it was not acceptable. She contacted customer service (Betsy) and informed them of the situation. Her response was she would have to send this to the "Diabetes Team". The Owner.Pharmacist called my wife back and told her that the insulin was supposed to be cloudy. My wife provided her with pictures of the vial and the particulate matter in question. The pharmacist told her that they were bubbles and she should shake the vial to remove them. My wife told her that she knew what bubbles were and that she agitated and rolled the vial between her hands with no success. The pharmacist said that the insulin was fine and that their entire batch looked like that. She then proceeded to tell my wife that manufacturers stopped making cloudy insulin 25 years ago and PZI was the only cloudy insulin on the market. My wife said all she wanted was a new vial that did not have particulate matter on the walls. In the background she could hear Betsy saying that "Her husband is a CDE ...(Certified Diabetes Educator and Nurse)". Because it is insulin it has to be sent overnight. The pharmacist told my wife that FedEx does not deliver on Saturday. My wife left it at we would find another pharmacy, despite their good price and said that you truly do get what you pay for and that we would be leaving a poor review online. The pharmacist replied with "Oh, is that a threat that you will leave a bad review?" My wife stated that it was not a threat but she was just letting her know and that the way to avoid a bad review would be to provide good customer service. At which point the conversation was essentially over and she hung up. Approximately 30 minutes later Betsy, the Customer Service agent, called back and said she was thinking about the situation and that they could FedEx the insulin overnight for a Saturday delivery and that it would cost $25. My wife asked if that meant we would have to pay for the shipping and Betsy replied that we would because BCP was not going to eat the cost. As it is they give a $3 discount on the routine shipping. When my wife said that we were not going to pay for them to fix their problem Betsy said "I was just trying to do the right thing but you are not going to be satisfied." and abruptly hung the phone up. Attached as a photo is the Warning Guide for PZI insulin from VetRXDirect. It plainly states Do not shake insulin and further down, "Do not use the insulin if the product has become discolored, has particles in it, or looks different than previous vials." Lastly, NPH insulin is cloudy in nature and IS STILL being manufactured and sold, most commonly referred to a Walmart Insulin. Nonetheless, it is cloudy and still being manufactured. We will be finding a new source for our cat's insulin as well as letting the pet owner community know of the poor customer service and misinformation provided by the owner and pharmacist. Caveat Emptor!

BCP's staff is exemplary in their professionalism, courtesy, and competence. I've used them for several years for multiple prescriptions for my special need cats. I want to particularly thank ANDREW, a Staff Pharmacist, who has gone above and beyond to ensure my furbaby who is in her final days of life, gets a prescription she needs to hopefully help her feel better, before a holiday weekend. Thank you so much!

Used this place for a year to compound a Rx. I like to give local businesses some business. BUT This week was quoted on two different days the price of a compound. When I dropped it off, was quoted again, a price more than double from what was already quoted twice before.

I love this pharmacy. I can't find my dog's breathing medication anywhere else, and the fact that it comes in a treat that she loves to eat, is a major plus!

We live out of state but order all of the prescriptions we can here-- the service is incredible. Every pharmacist we've spoken with is more than willing to take their time in explaining and answering your questions. Their prices are also the most affordable we've found anywhere. Highly recommend.

They are very responsive to my cat's needs. They compound his medicine into soft chicken treats that he doesn't exactly love, but he will eat if I mush them between two of his favorite Temptations (I suspect that it's the Parmesan cheese on the outside that does the trick). Shipping is kind of expensive, so I pick up the treats every month and that works well for us.

I really hope BCP treats their employees well because I've always had the best customer service here- Kind, efficient, helpful, and communicative. They always reach out to me quickly regarding my orders and their chewable compounded cat "treats" are the most palatable way I've ever been able to medicate my adorable sickly floofs. I'd gladly starve, if necessary, in order to keep my babies supplied with their compounded chews instead of regular pills.

They are the most friendly pharmacy I’ve ever worked with. The chicken and the liver flavored pills are such a life saver as my dog loves them. Makes giving her her meds so much easier.

I pick up meds from here once a month and love this staff and their service. The location is a little questionable but quick access to 59 so it is ok! They bring everything out so you don’t even have to leave your car.

Forever thankful for BCP Pharmacy! My 11-year old Miniature Schnauzer was suffering from congestive heart failure, DMVD, and pulmonary hypertension. Once I received the diagnoses, I immediately did the research to find the medications he needed at a reasonable price. I also wanted to spoil my dog and have the medications compounded into a tasty liquid so he (and I) wouldn't have to stress out over taking pills twice a day for the rest of his life. BCP was able to fulfill both of my requests. The two medications most pet owners would normally pay $100+ for, I received for $60 and in the flavor of my choice. Now my baby gets a yummy marshmallow treat! Since I live in Houston, TX, I don't have to worry about paying for shipping and can pick up refills same-day. If you are in the Houston area and are in need of affordable pet medications, or simply have a picky pet, I urge you to try BCP Pharmacy on Webster St.

I have to visit monthly to get meds for my cat. They are always friendly and it doesn't take long to get my script ready. They are practicing curbside pickup, so you can either use the intercom outside and let them know you're waiting, or just call (press zero) and they'll one out, maked up. There is construction in the area, so if you aren't familiar with the area, you should plan your trip ahead of time.
