Very pleasant, caring, and capable staff.

I have had 4 cats and 3 dogs here with the Carmichaels and I couldnt ask for a better team to look after my babies. Everything from emergencies to wellness care to end of life appointments have been handled with a grace and compassion that is unbelievable. I truly feel cared for- they remember me and my pets and take into consideration what I want in my animals care. Their new facilty is beautiful as well- im so excited to be part of their growth!

Highland Pointe is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever taken my pets to. They treat them like family and always explain everything to me so that whatever is going on is easily understandable. They truly do care about our babies’ lives. I won’t be going anywhere else!

We absolutely love Highland Pointe Animal Hospital! We're always worried about taking our 16 year old Regis to the vet. We don't want him to be stressed out or nervous but he feels totally at ease here. They've been very thorough and are constantly following up to help us preserve his quality of life and monitor his health as he gets older. They're also wonderful with our younger dog, Modesto. He's not very social, and they're always super patient with him. We've never had a problem getting our boys in to be seen at a moments notice if there is an urgent concern. We've had everything from check-ups, emergency seizure visits and surgeries for our boys and we couldn't be happier.

We are so excited to find Dr. Chris Carmichael for our pups! He is great! Very thorough and truly takes his time to treat our babies!

First and foremost, I would like to say they do not care about your nor your animal, multiple times things are said by one doctor (Mr. or Mrs. Carmichael) neither of which knows what one is telling a client… when you ask about specifics it’s always a run around about a “miscommunication” which has literally been the last 3 trips I’ve been. They basically pull the old switch and bate on you, tell you one thing then as soon as they get you into the office, scripts change and your held to the point where they have your animal and your put in the situation take care of the animal and get bent over or walk out and have your animal have no care. Regardless of the fact, right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing and the “practice” is exactly that, practice what you think the other doctor said… I would say do your research and homework before ever considering this establishment for your sanity or your furr babies.

I have been taking my dogs to Highland Point Animal Hospital for years. My 13 year old basset hound has had several health scares lately. They have squeezed me in when with little notice several times. The team here seems to really care about him. Highly recommend this team!

These people are outstanding. Nurses, Dr. Chris! Couldn't meet a nicer group of people who're so proficient in their profession!! Will never take my animals anywhere else so long as I'm in the area...and maybe even if I move!!

We started going here after our vet of over ten years old to a larger vet and the service went down hill. This place is great the staff is top notch. They really do care about your fur babies.

Quick visit, friendly service, and the cost of the visit was reasonable unlike some other vets we have visited in the area.

Our Bella had some scary overnight, and morning, tummy issues. I do what most would and Googled 'Animal Hospital Near Me' since ours wasn't answering phones (I should mention that after our last two visits with our vet since moving out here, I had already thought of switching), and I was pretty worried since Bella is older. They were able to get us in right away, which was very much appreciated. We got there and were promptly taken care of in a private room. Everyone from the lady at the front, Vet Techs, and the Vet were incredibly kind, not rushing us (given the unexpected new patient visit), and gentle with our nervous Bella. The Vet even sat on the floor and talked to me so Bella would be more comfortable. I've never seen that kind of compassion towards our girls. He eased my own concerns, she received some care there, and we came back home with meds. As far as cost goes, I feel it was pretty fair considering the circumstances. Pretty sure we may have just found our two girls a new veterinarian care team. Just wait until they meet our youngest, Charlie, lol. Thank yall so so much!

What a great experience for our new puppy. Very pleasant staff, professional and kind. Information was concise and very caring environment. The professionalism was abundant and we felt the care was great.

First visit with my stray-adopted cat. Very friendly staff, very attentive from the phone call to make the appointment all the way to the scheduling of the follow up. Charges were explain as they were incurred and everything was fast and easy to understand. Most definitely will keep coming back and I highly recommend them.

Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The staff & Dr. Carmichael were so friendly, patient and answered all my questions. Even though they were busy I never felt rushed and they explained everything, sometimes more than once. I’m so thrilled to have found a knowledgeable & friendly vet in my area!

If you're looking for a great Vet(s) for you beloved animal, most definitely give this place a try. I liked it from the minute I walked in the place. It was clean, the staff is very friendly and the Doctors are top notch.. My 12 year old yellow lab loves them. Everyone is very kind and caring and demonstrate those traits at all times, did I mention they are very professional and very knowledgeable . So if you are looking for a 1st rate veterinary hospital to take your loved one, This is the place for you. Try em, you'll like em!!

The vet and staff are very kind, compassionate people who helped us through a very rough time a few years back when our German Shepard needed help. They got us in quick. Unfortunately he is no longer with us due to old age, but once I decide on my next forever fur baby, they will be the ones I choose for all of my vet care.

Such a great vet!! They have excellent customer service. They actually call to check up on your animal a day or two after your visit. Most human doctors don't even do that!

We called HPAH in September when we couldn’t get into our vet. We were not expecting to leave without him. We had to put our baby to rest. The staff was so caring, so patient, and allowed me to stay with Gus until I was ready to say my final goodbye. That stuck with me. Fast forward 6 months. We adopted a precious little doodle, I immediately called HPAH for his first visit. I was so pleased with the care Wilson received. Dr. Lauren Carmichael was so thorough, answered all my questions and followed up. I couldn’t be happier and more confident that Wilson will receive the best care. I will be a better dog mom for it????

From Check-in to Check-out, the process was really smooth. I am super impressed with our first visit! The technician was attentive and listened to all details about why we came. I just moved to the area from NYC, where my brother and his wife (both veterinarians and own their practice) took care of my beloved cat Chloe. Obviously I have high standards for the care that Chloe gets and I was concerned that I would not find a match to the care that she always received. I transitioned her to Dr. Chris Carmichael and he is wonderful!! He has excellent bedside manner and took plenty of time to answer my many questions. It is evident that he not only cares about and respects his furry patients, but their owners as well. I’m so relieved to have found this practice and feel confident that Chloe is still in excellent hands!

My family recently found 3 kittens. We decided to keep them and wanted to get them looked at by a vet. Within five minutes the tech hands me a piece of paper with an amount of $805.00. Are you kidding me?!?? This is outrageous! Then the doctor came in and recommended that we get treat them for worms. I asked if they had worms....she said she didn’t know. I feel like I’m at a used car dealership, not a veterinarian office.
