My GUINEA PIG DIED because of them!! GO TO A VET that specializes in EXOTIC ANIMALS. I trusted them and my beloved pet died for so many inaccuracies but google wont let me list them all. They also charge deceptively because I was quoted one price on phone and then charged another when surgery was done. They NEVER followed up after surgery, neither gave me an emergency number in case things took a turn for the worse. SIMPLY PUT GO ELSEWHERE!! I tried to post this the day after surgery in Feb 2021 when he died but until now my review would not post! Yes, he was 4 that's why I paid for an health exam to see if my guinea pig could have surgery, the vet stated yes! He is in perfectly healthy condition! I would've never put him through that if vet had even near recommended not to!

I took my Mimi there. And everyone was so caring and happy go lucky. They treated her with so much compassion and care. I’ll be bringing my other fur babies here.

Aztec has lost its family atmosphere, charge for every little thing and charge walking a $75 urgent care fee. Will be finding a new vet, they have lost me and my animals

I changed vets after being taken advantage of in regards to pricing by our previous vet. Aztec was recommended by a friend, so we gave them a go. I can genuinely say that they go above and beyond to give the best possible care, as well as the best possible financial plans available. Any time I feel like there are questions or concerns, they are quick to address them, and/or correct them. I highly recommend this clinic, and I'm so grateful for their care.

The only reason I am giving them 5 stars is because there isn't an option to give them 10!!! I am SOOOOO lucky that I stumbled across them. The facility is beautiful and clean, the staff is super helpful and friendly, and the vets are professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Kuczek was in no rush. He took his time examining my Sheltie Loki and took even more time to talk with me and answer my questions. At no point did I feel pressure to hurry it up so he could get to the next patient and he did not want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests and x-rays to run up the Bill. His top priority is obviously the animals. Not only was I beyond impressed with everyone there but the prices were unbelievable!!!! I paid a third of what I expected to!

This is a top notch vet with wonderful staff and good resources. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad visit. They are knowledgeable, friendly, quick and darn good at their jobs. Even my pets, who are normally afraid of the wind, don’t mind coming too much. I will happily return here for as long as I can. Highly recommend

We've been with Aztec since Ziggy was born (7yrs) and recently had an issue that made us want to change vets; however, after receiving the complaint, the owner called us directly to explain in great detail what the confusion was. Not only did she clarify and apologize for the misunderstanding, she told bring Zig in immediately for a follow-up. Outstanding customer service and outstanding care for Zig. Thank you Aztec.

I called in to set an appointment for my cat for a health certificate. We just moved to the area so this was our first time reaching out to a new vet place. I got transferred twice and both of the ladies was super rude towards me for no reason. The tone she gave me as well as jumping into someone mouth when they’re answering your questions is not nice at all. She asked for proof of vaccination that we had at the old place. I have that to give and she said I have to give it to them before they could set an appointment for me. I asked for an email and she had to read just the website. I had no problem with she telling me to go on their website and find the email but at least you should have not talked to a normal human being that way and talking over her. How can you have more new clients if you can’t learn the basics of RESPECT and POLITENESS when it comes to talking/ treating a human being? How can I trust you guys with my pets? No thank you. I found a different place that at least know how talk politely.

Everyone so pleasant and friendly! The vet was amazing and special shout out to Krysee for her kindness with Lucy. They were all very impressive!!!

Well went in today 10 minutes before follow up post surgery appointment for cat paw but waited over hour after appointment time waiting to be seen. Wave too them let them still in waiting room — 20 minutes latter. Waited in office over 1 hour and 15 minutes to tell me sorry they take back to remove stitches. Upset or I go to back with her so sorry didn’t even ask how cat was doing. Nothing about her paw or diarrhea

Went there one time because it was so highly recommended & will never be back. First, they overcharged me by $60. I realized it in my car and went back in to have it corrected. When they were attempted to refund it, they charged it again. That’s not the best part. Rather than telling me she charged me instead of refunding me, she just voided it and then refunded me the $60. So at this point I leave irritated because for one thing, they acted like I was the inconvenience in this situation. And then, I get home & realize that I’ve been overcharged $120 at this point because the original charge is still pending, the second charge is pending and the refund hasn’t even shown up yet. I call very upset and was told “oops I should have told you I accidentally charged you again.” Um, you think? It took at week for me to get my money back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owner contacted me and was snarky and immediately said they weren’t a good fit for me and they would deactivate my account. Because obviously that is how they handle their customers. Beware, they are busy, it’s loud & I have had several people tell me they’ve had a very large turn over recently. Very unprofessional office. I’ll be going back to the original vet I saw in Killeen who I did not really have a problem with, I just liked the thought of the PetPro Connect app, not worth the experience of unprofessional office staff though.

Aztec is the best vet Clinic! Dr. K is super friendly and always goes the extra mile with my black lab. I’m moving to Houston and hope I can find a place half as good as this one once I get there. Great staff too, especially with boarding. I always hate having to board my pup but when I do I feel comfortable leaving him with Aztec!

Dr Keegan and the staff are nothing short of GREAT!!!! We had an issue with some rat poison and they were able to get our two dogs in within minutes and were able to treat them very quickly. We are SOOOOOO thankful for Dr Keegan and the entire Aztec staff. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts

Highly recommend Aztec. I have been taking my pets her for many yrs. Today I want to say Thank you to Corina and Belinda for trimming my Sr. Dog Chucks nails. He hates nail trims so bad that sometimes we do not get them all done but today Corina was able to do an amazing job!!! ( maybe she worked at a nail salon ? ) Chuck finally got a great complete nail trim , his nails look so much better and Thank you Belinda for keeping Chuck calm . He was nervouse as we go every month for his hip shot but he seemed to relax with these wonderful ladies. Thank you

Thank you Aztec pet hospital for helping my family in the hardest decision we had to make for our Saleen. The compassion that yall showed is greatly appreciated. We had to put our over 15 year old irish setter down early this week and I can't tell you how grateful we are to get her pawprint in the mail today. Yall have gone over and beyond in our time of grief. Truly grateful.

We had to put our cat of over 17 years down yesterday. Dr. K and his staff were wonderful when we really needed them. What a caring and professional group of individuals. They made a very difficult task easier, much easier. Thank you so much to all!

Took my “apparently” full term pregnant German Shepard for confirmation of pregnancy on a Wednesday, was ensured I will have phone call with results on Friday. Vet did not know if my dog was pregnant and was scared to rub the abdomen to check for pups. Recommended I do blood test instead of X-ray and ensured I’d get a call Friday. My animal gave birth Friday night and I was not prepared. Vet did nothing to prepare me and was clueless I had to call my husband home from Covid-19 Duty (Military) in the middle of the night because I didn’t know what to do. Vet Was a European man with heavy accent and he needs to rethink his profession as a vet if he could not tell if a full term Shepard was pregnant. I wasted my money on the visit and test and I feel they were just out to stick me for my money during this pandemic. Will never go to this vet again and would recommend others to visit elsewhere. DO NOT USE THIS VET

Useless place don't take your pets here. They misdiagnosed my dog...3 "doctors". I took my dog back home to the vet I known and trust and got thebright diagnosis.

We came to Aztec for a second opinion for our dog, Buddy who was thought to have severe skin allergies. Dr. John K (don’t want to mess up spelling) did everything and beyond to help our poor dog. We ended up having to put him down because Buddy was suffering. When we put Buddy down, Dr. K paid for the biopsy because he had never seen anything like Buddy’s symptoms. Two weeks later he called to tell us that we made the right decision and that all the money in the world would not have helped him. About a month later we received a letter from Texas A&M saying that Dr. K had made a donation to Texas A&M in Buddy’s name. We were brought to tears with his generosity and absolute loving care. We can never express how much we appreciate the staff and Dr. K for their compassion and drive to better help other animals and Veterinarians. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I highly recommend Aztec Pet Hospital!! They are amazing! My veterinarian recently moved to this clinic and we choose to follow her there. We are so happy we did. Dr. Cabral is amazing and very good at treating and diagnosing my pets. The staff is super friendly!

My cat will be 17 this summer she is quite a handful sometimes and I don't mean that in a good way. Dr. K and staff handle her with care, kindness and professionalism. Really great place to take your animal for meds and boarding. They Care!

Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my beautiful and loyal friend, Tiny, Dr. Kuczek gave me and my sisters kind words and I was happy that he was there with us. However, I have to complain about a specific assistant who was in the room with him and us. I do not remember her name, but for her to comment; "So, none of you have masks?" after another assistant guided my sisters and I to the room my dog was in. To me, that was incredibly rude, considering what was to take place. It had been a heavy few days, and I had to make the call because no one in my family wanted to, shoving a mask in my bag flew out of my mind as I accommodated her in the vehicle. Granted, I apologize if that was an absolute requirement to enter the clinic. But I didn't appreciate that comment. I however, appreciate Dr. Kuzek allowing me to hold and say our final goodbyes as properly as it was allowed. I absolutely love the clinic, Dr. Kuczek, and some of the staff, but that was someone I would've preferred to not have during that..

I don’t recommend this place. If you want to save your pet’s life, make sure to not request Dr. K. Horrible doctor. Save the the trip and the money. My dog died because him. Failed as a doctor and as a person. Please don’t come here and give these scumbags your money.

Thank you so much to Aztec for taking care of our little guy, Peanut! As swelling and fluid buildup on his ear was not getting better Aztec was able to see him within the hour of our phone call. We learned he would need surgery. Dr. K and staff were very caring and explained the details thoroughly. A few hours later Peanut was ready for discharge. They even sent him home with special food for his sensitive post surgery tummy along with a 'Get Well Soon' card. Wow! The gesture really touched our hearts knowing they care for our scruffy baby, also. Aztec exceeded our expectations, THANK YOU!!!
