I am sharing this in hope to save another animal from Hartland Cat Hospital out of Euless, TX. RIP Pearl. My cat had zero breathing issues prior to going into this vet. The last day of her life she spent stressed 10 hours waiting at the vet. I fully believe if the first vet Hartland would have allowed me there and not let my senior cat sit for 10-11 hours that she would still be here today. Or for a few more weeks / months. Unnamed ER vet is absolutely shocked at how my cat was released back to me. They knew she was a senior because we were doing senior testing. I took my cat to Hartland Cat Hospital and they said her lungs weren’t looking good. I took her in for loss of appetite. I was not called and told my cat was ready to be picked up. I was not told that my cat was not breathing. My cat did NOT go in for breathing issues. I had never seen her breathe this way, especially the morning on our way to the appointment. I got her back in worse condition then I have ever seen her in. Cancer or not, my cat was breathing perfectly prior to being left there literally all day. They should have been checking on my cat periodically. They should be checking on ALL cats periodically. That’s their job…to keep our cats safe and provide medical care. What they did was pure neglect. I even had a note I left with her. For what all I check. Nothing about breathing on the list.

We have brought out cat Moe here for 17 years. After the last visitMoe was given a clean bill of health and Dr. Heartland was very helpful and called us back to check on Moe and review the blood work. I would highly recommend her! Great staff!

Everyone here is very professional, they all carr so much about every single kitty that walks through their door. I've never felt so welcomed as a cat owner than when I came here! Christal helped me in the process of adopting another cat from them as well! Overall 10/10 amazing experience, will be returning for all of my cat needs!

After taking my cat to Dr. Hartland for 14 years, they failed me in an emergency. My cat had a stroke this morning and I was told to take her somewhere else because they are too busy. Now I'm spending my morning calling various vets to see who is willing to see me. I'm heartbroken and will be finding a new vet.

Great place for cats. They board cats with medical challenges. We boarded a cat over the Christmas holidays with kidney problems requiring daily subcutaneous fluids and medications. We received daily pictures from her loft with a view of the outside. We got her back in good condition.

Just as concerned about the felines wellness as the homeowners.

I would NEVER take my cats anywhere else. I’ve never experienced such love and care Dr. Hartland has shown my multiple cats over the past 12 years. They are prompt and professional most days though they can get bogged down from time to time. They truly want what’s best for your cat and will do everything in their power to make sure your fur baby is living the happiest, most comfortable, and fulfilling life they can. They will not price gouge or do any procedure that they don’t feel is completely necessary and have worked with me on high dollar bills in the past and broke it into payments. This woman is incredible and the staff is amazing. Do your kitty a favor and take them to Dr. Hartland

I think vet and the staff seems very friendly hard to tell since they are still not allowing people into the office. Makes it hard to explain what is going on with my baby. So confused as to why I’m not allowed in.

Recently had to put my sweet, old cat to sleep and everyone at Hartland were so kind, caring, & sensitive during the procedure. It is such a gift (although difficult) to be able to be with pets as they finally let go... Thank you Dr. Hartland and staff for your kindness...

Thank you so much Dr. Hartland for taking care of my sweet Eloise! She was injured by another animal clinic after a spay where they hurt her tongue very badly causing severe bruising of the tongue which lead to part of the tongue turning necrotic. Dr. Hartland and her staff are taking care of my sweet baby. I'm only taking my cats here from now on. Dr. Hartland and her staff are amazing :) Thank you so much!

I took my cat Cinnamon here when I first got him 2 years ago. A few weeks ago I called them when he got cat litter in his eye and they were very helpful over the phone. I took him in last week to get a check up and they were wonderful once again! Very reasonable price and called to keep me updated. They gave him a generous amount of treats for gingivitis, and a free toy. When they talk about him they call him "your baby". You can tell they enjoy their jobs and love cats! As long as we live in the area they will have our business.

I love Hartland Cat Hospital! I've been taking both my kitties here since 2017 and would trust no one else with them! Dr. Hartland is one of the most compassionate and caring vets I've had the pleasure to meet and her staff are all top notch as well. I've had to have surgeries, medical over night stays, ongoing care for a diabetic cat, and have even utilized their boarding services. Every experience has been wonderful! I waited a while before deciding to go with them, because I was afraid their pricing would be too much for me. That couldn't have been further from the truth. They are more than reasonable and even perhaps cheaper than most! They take Care Credit as well, should you need it. If you're hesitating, don't. Dr. Hartland and her team are amazing - you'll wish you would have tried them sooner!

To be perfectly clear my review has nothing to do with Dr. Hartland as she is an amazing vet, but instead the front desk staff. My senior cat was recently diagnosed with a thyroid issue and put on medication. She was due back in 3 weeks for a checkup but a week before that she started vomiting-- every hour for a full day. I left a voicemail for the clinic 2 hours before they closed but no one called me back, finally someone answered the phone in the morning ((claiming they hadn't checked voicemails yet, but you would think they should check everything before they closed the night before)) and they said they were too busy to see me, but to stop by for some nausea meds. My cat had already stopped vomiting a few hours before I got the medication, but she was in rougher shape physically so I unsuccessfully tried to reach the clinic again. Finally brought her to the emergency hospital. The emergency hospital ran some tests, including the thyroid test she was due to get at her 3 week checkup, and couldn't find anything wrong with their initial testing. They stabilized her and recommended if she got worse to have my vet run some more tests, and also suggested connecting with my vet to discuss if I should keep her off her meds, in case those were what was making her sick. 2 more unanswered voicemails, multiple calls and 3 days later they finally called me, but only to confirm my 3 week checkup (no mention of my voicemails but they did mention they talked to the emergency hospital so they knew what was going on). The checkup she was scheduled for was to run a blood test for her thyroid, which the emergency hospital already did so I let them know she wouldn't need that test anymore (plus I stopped giving her the meds when she started throwing up, in case that was the cause of her being sick) but I still wanted to bring her in. They suggested since I hadn't given her meds to push her appointment back one more week. A week passed and my cat was getting better luckily, but I still hadn't given her any meds... because as I told the front desk I didn't want to give her any more meds until the vet had a chance to confirm it was NOT the meds that were making her sick. I explained again that I wanted to keep the appointment to bring her in for examination but we didn't need to do the thyroid exam since we already had the test results. The front desk lady ONCE AGAIN told me to give my cat her medication for at least a week and then bring her in the following Monday. 1. The meds take longer than a week to make a difference, so her advice wasn't good, 2. I've told them multiple times I wanted to bring her in for an examination before I put her back on her meds. I was very disappointed that during this whole ordeal I never once got to speak with a tech or the vet, my request to keep my appointment space was denied as they only wanted me to use that appointment space for a thyroid test (and sorry but I'm not wasting money on a test to be done twice when it doesn't need to be), and that the front desk lady was trying to give my pet medical advice that she did not receive from the vet. Lastly, I left at least 4 voicemails about my pet being sick, not one was returned but they never hesitated to give me a confirmation call for her thyroid test.

My cat was having really bad diarrhea for a week, took her to a chain Vet office. They gave her meds that helped but didn't solve the problem. Still having issues for several months on and off after I took my cat in 3 times before doing a google search and taking her to Dr Heartland. My cat is super skiddish and very shy but Dr Heartland and her staff were amazing. I love that they were able to test, diagnose, and treat her all in one place instead of making several appointments. Dr Heartland was able to diagnose her condition, mild IBS, we switched her food, and my cat has been great since! I really appreciated that they sent me home with food samples so my cat could try which one would be best for her before I purchased her food. I could tell they really knew what they were doing and considerate that my cat could be picky with her food. I work full-time so taking time off for appointments is hard. It was so nice to go to a vet who is extremely knowledgeable with cats and offers testing and treatments under one roof. I spent way too much time and money with a chain Vet office. I highly recommend Dr Heartland for specialized cat care!

I’ve taken my cat to a couple of vets and this one is by far the best. My cat is not the best patient since he’s been through so much (urinary obstruction that required an overnight stay/catheter and a femur fracture that led to an amputation). I appreciate how caring they are towards my fur baby.

Love this place. It might cost a little more, but is worth it. The care and concern is exceptional. Plus my cat hates dogs.

Hartland Cat Hospital is great. They have been so accommodating by being open on Saturdays. Dr. Hartland and the staff have been very caring with my elderly, blind cat. I would definitely recommend Hartland Cat Hospital.

Dr. Hartland has been our vet for years and years now. She and her techs and her office staff have always been the best you could possibly wish for. Kind, professional, great customer service, personal touches. They just always go above and beyond. I really appreciate how Dr. Hartland has always been so kind and clear and sweet with us. We’ve had a three cats pass over the years and Dr. Hartland always sends a sympathy card and makes a donation in the cat’s names. Who does that any more? Above and beyond. Now with two new kitten rescues in the midst of the pandemic, I wanted to praise them again for the masks and the drop off and the social distancing. They are taking everyone’s health seriously and still remaining kind and professional. Highly, highly recommended for your cat’s health and for your own appreciation. Five stars all day long.

So I took my Sphynx in on Friday.. she was having a skin issue which is common for the breed.. as well as her shots. They suggested a biopsy and a round of antibiotics. I didn’t have the money for the biopsy so I wanted to see how she did after the prescriptions. I got home with a list and a bag of medications. In that bag was two bottles of pills and the free sample of shampoo. Monday I told them the pills went well and I was ready to pick up the rest of the dosage. When I got home I realized that these were pills my cat never took.. turns out I didn’t get my pack of 6 for her Friday. I call them to inform them, hey I never received these and that I’m not sure how she will handle them since she didn’t take them.. I was told that they didn’t know how she didn’t get them that they gave them to me and maybe I lost them.. really?! Is it not possible I didn’t receive them.. maybe but not likely! Maybe they are in your car, or her carrier?? No and no. The attitude and the accusation tone in her voice was apparent. Then proceeded to tell me she would do me the favor and refill it for free this time.. I’m sorry but I paid for something I didn’t get! I was confused by the new looking pill it’s why I called. Anyhow I won’t be back which is too bad. It’s close and they focus on cats alone.

My cats may not like coming to the vet, but I do. Dr. Hartland is knowledgeable and very kind. She is very gentle; I could see my cats tension ease b/c of the way she held them for examination. Beautiful office and convenient location. There may even be a little greeter for your little ones as you sign the paperwork.

I have been taking my cat's there for 10 years now. It's a long drive from Roanoke but I wouldn't take them anywhere else. Dr. Hartland is the kindest most loving vet you will ever find. I like the fact there's no dogs.
