Extremely unprofessional and hopelessly misinformed. They are able to delete/bury their negative reviews. Be careful of this clinic. They can be very wrong yet act as if they are lily white. Post surgical care is a nightmare.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They do not pass on critical information to each other in their system. Your dog will be in danger post surgery if you use this clinic. They are lovely until post surgery. Then they turn into the nightmare of your life. Stay away.

Dr. Wells and the staff are so loving and caring. I saw it not only with my boys, but in their interaction with other patients and their humans as well. I know they will do the best they can for my dogs!

Malpractice at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center After performing an unlawful surgery without consent, DVSC refused to give any refund if we speak up. When we brought our dog into DVSC in the morning on 7/30/2021, we thought she might have a herniated disk and may be a candidate for surgery. During the consultation we clearly communicated verbally and in writing to call and consult with us immediately after the CT scan before any procedure be performed. We also told with the technician we previously had a dog who suffered a brain tumor and died, and that we needed to be included in deciding what would be best for our dog. The technician even wrote explicit instructions at the top of the form to call us before any operation. But no one called. We reached out at 3pm and were told that they were getting ready to do the CT scan. The receptionist adamantly confirmed the surgeon would call us with the scan results before any further procedures. No one called, and when we called them again at 4:30pm we were informed that a surgery already took place. We never received a pre-op consultation, even with multiple requests. Instead, DVSC responded to our repeated phone calls with false assurances and proceeded with an unlawful and unauthorized surgery. DVSC admitted their mistake and gave us a waiver to sign. We did not sign the waiver because it (1) prohibits the contact we had already made with the credit card company, (2) unethically prohibits the complaint we filed with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and (3) does not provide a full refund of our $5400 deposit. We feel obligated to share this with pet owners and vets, to prevent anyone else from being harmed and cheated by Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center.

Dr Franks and the staff are incredible at DVSC. Their friendliness, compassion and overall demeanor puts the parents and patients at ease. Everyone took the time to ensure all of my questions and concerns were addressed despite this being the second Frenchie of mine to go through the BOAS procedure. Dr, Franks did an incredible job on my first pup and immediately put me at ease with the second one! Her friendliness, knowledge, calm demeanor, promptness and a non rushed environment was appreciated. :)

Dr. Hassle was absolutely amazing. We have never had an emergency with our dogs before. We brought our baby in very injured after a dog attack. We were worried sick and unsure of everything. Dr. Hassle went out of his way to continue to give us updates and broke down all the information so that we could make the best informed decision for our pupper. He stayed past his shift just to make sure our dog was in a good, stable place. He was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. We felt so much peace in such a high stress time. He was not only there for our fur baby but also for us as a family. We are so thankful for all he did. I know it’s his job, but we received wonderful support and service that needs to be commended. If only all vets had a heart for animals AND their families as Dr. Hassle. We highly recommend this hospital. It can be a little pricey, but most vets are and this one took care of us extremely well. Also we got a cost breakdown we were able to review and everything was reasonable. The nurses and front desk staff were wonderful as well on nights. We did however get sent home with incorrect medication dosages that didn’t match discharge paperwork with the actual pill dispenser bottle. And I didn’t catch it until after I had given the higher dose which is the one I saw first. We were on hold for a while to even talk to someone about clarifying the dosage.

Love the staff and overall quality of care and attention to detail! Everything went smoothly and made us feel comfortable and at peace during a very stressful time. Everyone we came in to contact with seemed to truly care about Harley's well being and our concerns. Attention to detail and I did not feel taken advantage of monetarily in a crucial time.

Dr. Lange goes above and beyond with his patients and patience with owners. I honestly didn't expect the surgeon to call several times to ensure we were informed and updated at every step. Izzy had the most compassionate care at DVSC!

My pet died per a "miscommunication" as they put it. Notes were then suddenly not found and attorneys contacted to figure out what could be done. I wish we had never gone to this facility. While my dog was suffering I was told by a staff member they do not handle complications after. I was offered money after they realized they never took Xrays requested. Then told they didn't. I wish my dog was alive. He mattered to us. They got their thousands and we lost a family member.

Staff was kind, professional, and accommodating. Dr. Bertrand was fabulous. Really had a comfortable experience, and considering the reason for the visit that is no small task to accomplish. Direct communication, and accommodating team members.

The staff and the vets we spoke with were very kind, considerate and helpful with our Bennett. This was an extremely hard decision and having the information from your staff helped to ease our minds. Keeping me informed on Bennett's surgery pre and post was so helpful to ease my mind (and stomach) since we were so scared and nervous.

Dr. Franks was amazing and kind, and thoroughly explained the procedure. She made me feel comfortable in an unfortunate situation and that means a lot. All other staff members were also so sweet and understanding of my dogs unease being there given her situation and that also means so so much to me. These staff are truly loving animal people and it shows. The best thing for me was their being understanding towards my dog when she growls, knowing she is just anxious and nervous, and still telling her she is a sweet girl

Dr Franks is exceptional at her job. She is passionate about helping animals and did a wonderful job with our Emma. Kristin was super sweet and empathetic to our concerns. The whole team treated us with compassion from checkin to exam and discharge. While I hope that we do not find ourselves in another situation to require specialty surgery, I am confident that if we do we would again be in great hands. You all are greatly appreciated! Compassionate and professional; honest and upfront about cost as well as treatment options
