Best Doberman Rescue I've been to, volunteered at and where I adopted my baby girl, Clover back in April 2006. My dad adopted his girl, Duchess from here as well in July 2014. And then in May 2017, my mom adopted one of the Game of Bones litter, Dani. Julie, Bruce & a lot of the volunteers are some of the most amazing individuals. They take such amazing care of the dogs that come into their rescue. We just love them so much. ????????

The group from Doberman Rescue of NT are truly amazing! The staff is caring, professional and dedicated to placing their dobies in homes that fit each family's unique situation. We had an illness issue with our new family member and without hesitation, Julie, authorized emergency care...after two days with the vet, our little Charlie is on the road to recovery. These guys truly love their dobies. ❤️

We recently adopted our Doberman Tyson from here. We had a bit of a struggle because he has major anxiety & is not crate trained. With the lifestyle we have, we NEED a dog with all of that kind of training. Not only did we have an amazing experience with them, they were so patient with us. The gentlemen that showed us all the dobermans was amazing! He had so much patience & answered all of our questions. Long story short, since we had an issue with our pup, we were heartbroken when we decided we had to give him back. When we brought him back, Donna had told us that they were willing to take him, medicate him, crate train him & then call us when he is doing better so that we can have our baby back! I was completely shocked & also extremely happy at the same time! I couldn’t believe that they were willing to do this for us. We fell in love with Tyson & we had a very tough time bringing him back. If you are looking to adopt a Doberman, this is the place to go for sure! They are absolutely mind blowing & they really care for these dogs. They live to give these dogs good homes & my experience with them will always be appreciated. Doberman rescue of north Texas is the best place you can go to adopt a new baby!

They have a good selection of Dobermans and the adootion procedure is good and insures the dogs will be taken care of. Very reasonable compared to purchasing a puppy frim a breeder.

Recently took a friend of mine down to this place to look at a Doberman dog. She decided she liked him and bought him. He is in warp drive all the time but is beginning to learn you cannot get what you want by going crazy for it. He is calming down. He is a sweet dog. These people do a good job of showing their adoptions off to you. Lots of Dobbies. I recommend these folks.

I've adopted 5 Dobermans and fostered dozens over the past 14 years through DRNT. They are the largest Dobe rescue in the South, 25+ years of saving lives. They always make it a priority to take an injured or sick dog into their program to insure those in need get the life saving medical attention required. A great group of people working for the dogs. If you are looking for an awesome group of adopters and volunteers to get your Dobes from, this is the place.

To Whom It May Concern: It is my intention with this email that the unacceptable actions of persons representing your organization be brought to light. My wife and I visited your organization today with the hopes of adopting a younger brother for our twelve-year-old Weimaraner. We were filled with anticipation, could hardly sleep the night before, and wanted to arrive plenty early in order to have ample time with the available dogs. We were especially excited to meet a Doberman named “Augie”. However, it wasn’t long before we were informed that “Augie” had been adopted by a foster mom of a Doberman named “Thunder” within your organization. We met the foster family when they arrived at the adoption site and also got to meet “Thunder”. We were saddened about not having the opportunity to meet “Augie”; however, we were optimistic at the potential of meeting other dogs. While waiting for instructions from the volunteers, my wife, Drake (our Weim), and myself were standing outside of the intake building when a volunteer walked by with a Doberman toward what I believed to be the intake room for adoptions. While the dog was walking by “Thunder” the dog became aggressive, began to bark and lunged at “Thunder”. It never appeared that the volunteer lost control of the dog, or did the foster mom appear to lose control of “Thunder”. We then observed the foster mom kick “Thunder” causing him to yelp and cower. The foster mom then swung a plastic bag containing pill bottles and hit “Thunder” in the head causing the pill bottles to fly out of the bag. The foster mom then forcefully held “Thunder’s” neck down to the ground in order to “discipline?” him. These actions were excessive, unacceptable, and extremely inappropriate. We watched as this behavior did not disgust or alarm anyone involved with the North Texas Doberman Rescue. We were appalled that this behavior was ignored and that the dogs under the care of your organization could be treated in such a manner. We promptly decided to leave the recuse site and disassociate ourselves from this behavior. I used to foster dogs in Tennessee and told my wife stories of how fostering and adopting Drake changed my life. My wife did not grow up around dogs and was excited to adopt a dog for the first time and give him a loving and caring home. She was so upset she began crying on our way home knowing that “Augie” was more than likely going to be treated in such a cruel manner like “Thunder” was treated today. It is my belief, and hope, that if I was observed kicking, hitting a dog with a plastic object, then forcefully holding down the neck of a dog, that this would disqualify me from being able to adopt a Doberman from your agency. Why are the standards different, and actions overlooked from a representative of your organization; whom should be held to a higher standard? Once again, the intentions of this email are to only shed light upon the cruel and inappropriate behavior that was observed while at your organization today. It is my sincere hope that shedding light upon this inappropriate behavior will only benefit the dogs that are in your care.

If I could give DRNT more stars I would! Rescuing animals is hard work. Julie and Bruce go above and beyond in caring for all the Dobermans they save and they do it day in, day out. Not a better rescue in Texas! They have saved so many homeless animals. Truly dedicated people, that care about the dogs that come to them, that's DRNT!

Fantastic place dedicated to rescuing dobermans who might otherwise be put down. Sick and injured dogs are rehabilitated and adopted out to loving families. Visit on Sundays to save your best friend's life!

Amazing group of volunteers who has a unified goal of finding forever homes for castaway Dobermans. Their #1 priority is: what is the best solution for each Doberman. In their relentless pursuit of the quality of life for each Doberman's individual needs, they make sure each dog is tested in multiple ways to assure s/he is placed in the most perfect situation. They do all this for the pay of gratification; the knowledge that each Doberman is better off because these folks helped. This is love.
