The place is clean and well organized. We let them know what kind of pet we wanted. The staff member quickly brought out a great fit for our family. Huck a germanshepered mix is currently sleeping at the foot of my bed.

Absolutely love this shelter.❤ The Vet Techs do their best to take care of the animals and treat them as quickly as possible. The animals health is the number one priority here.❤❤

Friendly and helpful staff, stopped in to burn time during a lunch break and ended up adopting a dog so watch for the puppy eyes

The best care ever. If you have blankets you aren't using, they could use them. Any pet food on their website, toys, etc.

One day, my doggo got loose and they treated Spot with care and decency. They microchipped him so that if it ever happened again (it didn’t), I could find him better.

I adopted my first little girl fury baby from here the staff is amazing all of them I will be on the look out for another puppy and I sure I can’t see my self adoption from anywhere but here so thankful and blessed to have my fury baby!

I just found a stray dog and asked if he can get checked for vaccinations and get a wellness check to see if there is anything wrong with the pup… they turned me away! They said only if the dog was adopted from them that they would do that. If I were to leave the dog with them then they would check on him but they are at capacity. What kind of animal shelter is this?!!!

My family and I tried tried to adopt a dog, and said that they were able to hold the dog off from other people adopting him. The next day, we then got a call from them saying that a family had already adopted her. Yet when we had already made an appointment to go and fill out papers, to adopt her the next day. So disappointed.

Adopted a cat from this location 5 years ago. She got sick shortly after adoption and we didn’t have money for the vet. The gave us free medicine and tools, and even sat us down and showed us how to use them on our cat. My cat is my best friend and she wouldn’t be with us today if it wasn’t for the folks at Wilco Regional Animal Shelter. Thanks so much! ????

I was very impressed with the animal shelter in Georgetown. It was very clean and staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. I was ready to adopt a cat and dropped in. I was able to spend time with a cat I felt drawn to, in a play room. There were toys and treats available and Tracy was great with providing info about the kitty. As predicted, Sugar headed straight to the box in the corner but she allowed me to take her out and sit her on my lap.

Up-to-date adoption software, state-of the-art facility, and unaware staff. Went in to check out dogs for adoption which they informed were best under appointment. But they welcomed us anyways. We found a dog name Jonah we wanted to adopt and just like they encouraged, we MADE AND APPOINTMENT. And according to their policies, dogs with appointments CANNOT be adopted until the appointment is concluded and the dog is returned to the available list. When we came back for our APPOINTMENT, Jonah had already been adopted hours earlier. The fumbling and overwhelmed staff said they take ‘full responsibility’ but with no follow up action to actually do so. It turns out the person that booked the appointment forgot to do an important part of their job and update the list of dogs that were available for adoptions right away and those who were held for appointments. So, since they were at such loss for words and action on what to do except for a half-baked apology, here is how you take the ‘full responsibility’ you’ve so exclaimed: Recall the dog for a ‘check up’ you forgot to give before adoption, regain physical custody of the dog, explain the situation to the new owners that a pre-existing commitment shouldn’t have allowed them to adopt, DEAL with the backlash deservedly, then honor the original appointment. There, that’s how ACTUALLY take full responsibility.

We were adopting a dog, and they made it great. The grandkids picked a candidate pup online, we made an appointment at the shelter to see the dog, and when we got there we got go spend time with the dog.

We've found 2 of the best dogs ever there. The staff is very kind and super helpful.

Adoption can/ will change your life in a good way. Very organized and rate personality of pets spot on. Remember Kittens and puppies have unknown personality. I got 2yr old cat. VERY HAPPY. Adopt older animals for more satisfying results on personality pets. They know.

Very helpful, please donate to them. Remember it cost a lot to take care of so many animals. Money of course, also bedding, towels, sheets , ect.

My cat went missing, we saw her on their website! Thank god she was there and we picked her up that day. They were friendly and understanding. If you are getting your lost pet/family member, bring up to date shot records and a photo of your pet and of course i.d.

Great people work there. They were very patient and took a lot of time to help us make sure we got the right dog.

I went here and all the staff are very nice. I got to check out all the cats and picked one up. I hope I can make long lasting memories with him!

Picked up my little Nate Newton. He is really making himself at home at my place. The staff at the shelter are top notch. I told them what I was looking for and they were very helpful. ????I love this place! The cats and kittens look healthy and clean. We walked-in around 1 pm to see the cats. It's a long line to get to play with cats in the private room. We picked that we wanted to play with one cat and if he can get along with us, we will definitely take him home. But when we asked the staff, she says she got a call from someone that will come to see this cat at 3.30 pm So even we come first we can't take him unless the guy who make an appointment doesn't want the cat. So we sadly moved on to the other cat and we find our kitten. He's very cute and playful. I want to tell everyone who want to get the cat or dog. Please considering to adopt these animals in shelter rather than buy them from market. They're all waiting for your love and dreaming to have a real home. Also thank you for all staffs that been working hard to take care of these cutie animals. ????
