Initial Post from 2019: Operator assistant can be greatly improved. Lost business as nobody seems to pick up phone during normal work hours. Lost business for this reason. More than one day too. Update 1/4/2022: Thank you. The last few times I have called I have been able to speak with someone straight away. I cannot tell you how this improves customer service. I appreciate your dedication to your clients. I have updated from 2 to 4 stars. Thank you Again.

Overall had a good experience here. We recently moved to the area and took both our dogs here due to recommendations from friends. While they are friendly and helpful, the prices are a little much. I’ve seen similar reviews on here related to pricing. Of course every vet is different with pricing, but to charge for a “diagnostic exam” which was never performed, is not ok with me. The diagnosis was a yeast infection in my dog’s ears, which was diagnosed with cytology, which I was also charged for. Listening to my dog’s heart and lungs for 2 seconds is not a diagnostic exam. (This happened with my other dog a couple months ago.) Obviously we paid for the treatment which is totally fine and expected, but to get charged for a diagnostic exam which wasn’t really done is a little crazy to me. We probably will be finding a different vet but we will keep this place in mind as a backup. Generally nice place but the prices are way more than what I have paid at other vet clinics in the past.

It was my first time experiencing the decision to put our elderly dog down. The staff at Georgetown Vet hospital was very kind and understanding the conditions of our dog Lukka when I made that dreaded phone call to let them know that we’re bringing her in for euthanasia. They came to our car with gurney to move Lukka into a special room. They allowed us plenty of time to spend the last hour with our dog. Dr Long explained the procedure clearly to me and treated us with the utmost compassion. They had made our ordeal so much easier to cope. They were so kind dealing with my emotional state. I appreciate their professionalism and greatly thankful for their service. It was very difficult for me to witness the ending of my best friend but thankfully with the ease of the painless procedure that Dr Long administered it was quite peaceful to accept the loss of our beloved fur buddy. Thank you so much!

Awesome service for our 10 year old pitbull terrier Buddy. They treat all of their patients with the best care. We highly recommend GT VET.

Rip off. Their prices have increased significantly. Doesn't feel like home. No lobby. You have to wait in your car. And they are an establishment that requires a mask to be worn. And too be honest, the staff is extremely rude. No thanks. Found a new vet for our visit that is 130 bucks cheaper. Same services rendered. Same google review rating. Update: Now this establishment wants to state they cannot locate me. We had an appointment just yesterday, 11/3 /21 @4:30. My dogs name is Ava. Proves how personal the establishment is. We literally walked out yestdrday. This must happen quite frequently.

I appreciate Covid safety procedures but the plan in place is impersonal, not responsive and does not meet the needs of customers, animals and people. surely you can figure out a way to do both. Until then, we will go to a vet with whom we can converse.

Georgetown Animal Hospital is by far, the BEST! From their front desk to their Veterinarians and Medical Techs, they afford the most reliable, understandable and professional staff I have ever experienced!! I cannot thank them enough for always being there for my dog and me and providing such excellence in care and concern! Their follow-up is amazing!!

It's taken me a bit to write a review of our first experience at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital as it was a heartbreaking day. Our ferret was exhibiting signs of distress and we had a very difficult time locating an exotic vet that could take her quickly. This hospital was able to take her and give her care which unfortunately resulted in losing our little loved one. They exhibited such empathy and support and personal care! The vet Dr Tackett came out curbside to personally speak with me. Though difficult to speak through my sadness and tears, I was very thankful for their response, support and care. I was surprised to see a personally, handwritten sympathy card in the mail from the doctor, which was sad for me to see but so impressed a doctor would take the time to send her sympathies to us. We received a wonderful cremation package to remember our little ferret. Their caring words and actions were very much appreciated. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, I plan on using this vet hospital for our other pets. The veterinarian and staff's quick response, care and compassion make it an easy choice to return. It's the little things that count and sometimes those little things mean everything <3

We use Georgetown Veterinary Hospital for all our own dogs, cats and foster dogs for years. There are not enough stars for how wonderful all the vets and staff members are! Our dogs have lots of health issues of all kind and our "favorite" Dr. Nichols goes far and beyond to always find the right treatment quick. She cares for our animals like they would be her own. She thinks outside the box and always listen to our concerns when it comes to our animals. My animals are not the easiest to bring to the vet and somehow she manage to make it a fun experience for everybody involved. We are truly blessed that we found this rock star vet and all who are working there! Thank y'all.

During our absolute worst time, they provided the most loving, empathetic, patient and respectful care to our beloved dog, as well as to both my son and me. It was a heartbreaking day, but I can't adequately express how thankful I am for how everything was handled. Every single person/position we encountered, just showed so much kindness and care. Thank you all so very much for treating us all so gently. I'm so appreciative.

We followed our vet from her other location because she is just so good and our Pug loves her. I’m not saying her name though because then we won’t ever be able to get an appointment with her!! Lol! The whole staff was friendly, you can tell they truly love the animals and it was super clean. I’m glad we made the switch.

Great staff, attentive service from Dr. Underwood, who we were able to see with a few hours notice. We feel fortunate to have found them.

The vet did not allow me to be in the exam room and I never even saw her. They gave me a bill for $55 for them to examine her with only limited feedback after the fact. I do not recommend them if you want to get to know your animal's doctor.

I hate that the politicians have made COVID-19 “safe practices” decrease or almost totally nullify face to face visits with our health care personnel because now I have to remark that I would rather go inside the veterinarian office than wait in my car for the vet technician to come out to my car, out of sociopolítical distress rather than accute care.

I was impressed how organized everything is. Everyone is very kind. Best part they were some good my dogs.

Always very helpful with pet care needs, friendly staff

We always have a great experience when we come here. The check in process is flawless. The boys are loved on and seem comfortable with the familiar faces. Although I chose to continue "curbside" the option(for one person)to join your fur babies inside the office is now available.

The staff here is absolutely awesome!

We will be taking our two dogs to another veterinary clinic after two years with them because this morning their unethical office manager tried to make us "pre-pay" for a cancerous lump removal biopsy of my dog's pad, at 7:30am after I brought her onsite, threatening to refuse care. When I said I would pay when I picked her up from the procedure the office manager tried to "make a deal" to have me pay half ahead of time or they would refuse life saving help for my dog. Completely unethical, a waste of time and it was the last straw - we've had many issues with her in the past. We would never switch back until she is gone. No one deserves to have their pooch's care callously ruined by such a person for such nonsensical, potentially illegal reasons.

They are well staffed, friendly, knowledgeable and affordable.

Nice people here and the Doctor is very knowledgeable. Will return if needed for our parrots ????
