I have trusted my precious Cairn Terriers to Dr. Carter for 29 years. He and everyone who works with him are wonderful. They're so good with the animals and it's obvious they love working with them. Dr Carter and Dr Weiss are both thorough and knowledgeable and patient with your pet and their owners.

Great vet but unfortunately not taking new patients

2021 new year update After 40 years...now 41 years my wife will use no other vet for her dogs. We left Longview TX at 5 a.m. to make a 7:30 a.m. Just 17 minutes late. Our dog Suchi is 9 years old and seems to be very stressed out from our move last year. A move during a COVID-19 pandemic has been stressful for the whole family. But we needed to know if her condition was serious involving organ failure or cancers ...complications requiring surgery or medications. It turned out to be psychological. Dr. Carter have reviewed xrays and did a physical examination. We sat in our car and got a curb side phone call. He talked us through what he done what xrays were taken. He reviewed her charts. Concluded it wasn't physical it was psychological. Talked us through questions about her new environment and interactions with the new environment and other dogs. And outlined what we need to do for BOTH. He plans to do a telephone follow up every 2 weeks in this new years. THANKS

Dr Carter and his staff have been treating our pets for over 10 years. They provide exceptional service and we recommend them to all our friends and family.

Tried to schedule an appointment to bring my dog in that is experiencing allergy symptoms. Won't be seen as I am not an established client. Receptionist was fairly rude when I asked for a suggestion of where to take my dog, offered no solution as to an alternative. I will not be doing business with Springhill Veterinary Clinic.

I take all of my kitties and those kitties that I rescue to Dr. Carter. He's a wonderful Vet and has great staff.

I recently had to put my Doxie to sleep and they made the experience much more comforting than past experiences we’ve had with this procedure! The best vet I have EVER been to. They are so timely and the don’t gouge you for money like a lot of places do. They are very knowledgeable and really care about your pets! Highly HIGHLY recommend.

We absolutely loved Dr. Carter and Lisa. When we found them we had 3 cats all over 15 years so there were definitely some sad times but new young kitties came along as well. And honestly, our worst time was adopting a baby from Richardson animal shelter. She was only with us overnight when she started getting horribly sick. She was bleeding and we didn't know why. I bundled her up and took her to Dr. Carter's office. We found out it was feline parvo. Dr Carter explained the likelihood and most often that she wouldn't make it. He did what he could, IV fluids and antibiotics. We kept her during the night and force fed Pedialyte to her. She made it and is a happy cat now. We have so many stories of how much they have helped us. Now we have moved and really miss them. Just want to thank them for all their help along the way.

The staff and doctor take time to listen and really know your pet. They saved my dogs life. Love this vet!

Dr Carter and staff are so awesome in every aspect of vet care. Ive used Dr Carter for 20 years. I wish my medical doctors treated me half as well.

I totally trust Dr Carter and his judgment with my animals. Not only is he gentle with my cats, but explains to us(that includes the cat) what he is doing and how he is trying to help them. Lisa is also a great assistant working very well with the doctor. Thank you Springhill.
