Dr. Hamlin and his staff are wonderful. They will exceed your expectations and are knowledgeable, kind, and truly care about your pet (and you!). I first heard about Mercy while I was fostering for a local rescue group, as they do lots of work with rescues and non-profits. When it came time to have my dog’s mast cell tumors removed, I went to three different vets/specialists to get opinions. Dr. Hamlin spent the most time making sure I understood the diagnosis, the treatment plan, and everything in between. When it came time to make a decision on how to proceed, I had no doubt Pearl would be in the best hands with Dr. H and his team. They have been great and I am happy to say Pearl now has a clean bill of health! Nicole and Kelse are actual angels.. they treat your pet like their own and are always helpful and responsive. It’s little things like being able to text staff after-hours with questions/concerns that sets a privately owned local practice apart from all of the larger “chain” vets. If you want exceptional, quality care for your pet(s), at an honest, reasonable price, Mercy is your place.

Please think twice about bringing your pets here. They neutered my kitten on Monday & when I called this morning to tell them he was running a fever & hadn’t been himself since the surgery & that I was on my way to their clinic for him to be seen, they coldly told me they were too busy today & that they couldn’t see him till Monday. They weren’t compassionate & just keep saying you need to take him to ER. Not once have they called to check on him since the surgery & now they’re too busy to see him. I think if this vet is that busy he shouldn’t take on any new customers. I’m so grateful I did find a vet that cared enough & was able to see my kitten right away. He did have a fever so he was given antibiotics & an anti inflammatory shot.

I met Dr. Rick Hamlin in downtown Plano this summer while he was talking to a woman taking care of a small kitten. He seemed to genuinely care about animals and told me that he could neuter my dog for much less than I was about to pay. So far I’ve taken both one of my cats and my dog to the clinic and the service has been great.

I have taken all my pets to Dr.Hamlin. He has done a great job with everyone of them. From shots to surgery. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. Thank you Dr Hamlin and staff.

My puppy cast came off the second day. They say one price and at the end charge more. Nothing was for free I definitely paid!! I have proof of payment.

I’ve been coming to Mercy Animal Clinic for years. It started with Dr. Hamlin seeing my rescues and now I bring my 4 beagles in as well. I live in Frisco, so it’s a 50 mile round trip and wouldn’t have it any other way. The staff is awesome, ALWAYS responsive and really treat your pet as their own. Nicole, the office manager will bend over backwards for you and your pet!! Dr. Hamlin and Nicole are the best!!

Hands down best Vet and team around! Doc and his manager Nicole are always on call and available when Tito and Mallory get sick. I had to pay over $2000 when I went to the Er 3 years ago just for Tito eating the trash. He did it again last month on a Saturday night so I texted the manager Nicole and she called Dr. Hamlin right away. They came in to help him and I walked out of there paying only the visit and meds. Cost us around $250.00. What a great bunch of people who are always willing to go above and beyond for the pet community! Will always recommend them! Thanks Mercy Animal Clinic! Best Vet ever!!!

Not professional & it shows. The below reply by the clinic is inaccurate & wrong, I don’t have a wife, I do not have a puppy, they have the wrong person, my feedback was based on the poor care & professionalism I experienced with my dog. What a joke of clinic & their replies. Their reply got edited right now as they realize their reply was inaccurate & false, I do have the right clinic, to everyone I do not recommend this clinic.

This clinic is so caring and reliable! I bring my 2 cats here to update their shots, for prevention, and for all other care. You can tell they care about the animals they see and only want the best for them. Nicole, Dr. Hamlin, and the techs are very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for all you do!

I drive my dogs/pets 1 hour to go to Mercy animal clinic. Every time I've come, it's been extremely professional, the staff have been so polite. Dr. Hamlin is an awesome person. Thru stitches, illnesses, late night calls or loss of a dog, they have my animal business for life.

I went to this place after I called and got some good prices. I drop my puppy just knowing they were going to do 2 things check him and x-rays. I had already gotten a price. When pick up they did alot more than what they were supposed to do but I was greatful but I did not have all they wanted which they did help and I payed in 2 payments. Next vist they assured me I was paying 25 to just change the cast.so I went ahead and drop him off. Once pick up once again they came up with a higher price. It's really unprofessional to not let the owner know what they do with the dogs and expect for people to pay. I write this review because the cast came off so easily the next day.. So yes not even does 25 weren't enough for the job you'll did. Sorry but I will not surrender my dog to y'all as the young lady said. I believe I can find another better place. Lesson learn with this place.!! I will take care of my puppy in another clinic.

Dr. Hamlin, Nicole and all of the staff are awesome to work with. As a rescue, we call several times a day and no matter how busy they are, they always take care of us and our dogs. Always happy and professional. They care about the furbabies in their care. We couldn't do what we do, without this team!

I cannot thank mercy and their staff enough for all of their help. I work with a rescue and they have always been there for us and our dogs. Communication is clear, pricing is more than fair, and the facility is very clean. I know if I take a pup there, they will be in a good hands. Great job to the whole staff!

Dr Hamlin and the entire team are absolutely the most caring and personable staff that took such wonderful care of my Lily. I was referred by a rescue group to this practice as Lily required a TPLO operation. The pre-op examination was excellent, procedure clearly explained, operation went off without a hitch, recovery is challenging for an active and fear aggressive baby, but Lily did well. Sadly, unrelated to this but Lily died in August due to IMHI, she was my ESA and took part of my soul with her. Love that girl and sleep with her blanket still. Another find memory of taking Lily to her surgery was the drive to Mercy Animal Clinic the morning of the TPLO operation. We live on the opposite end of the Metroplex so left very early to miss traffic, WAY too early! So, Lily and I had a mini-sleepover in the back of my SUV both snoring away, fogging up the windows. Then the wake up call - the lawn crew came and l'il Lily woke me up sounding the barking alarm! Oh, that Lily was as sweet as she was protective and she strutted into Dr. Hamlin's office with her fur raised from tail to head - and the WONDERFUL LOVING STAFF at Mercy Animal Clinic just set to loving on Miss Lily and there wasn't a hair out of place before we realized what transpired. Just a find memory of my precious Lily and why Mercy Animal Clinic is such a superior clinic and experience. My thanks again. ❤

We love taking our fur babies to see the vet and the staff here. Since we have a couple of pit bull mix rescues, it gives us comfort knowing the staff are friendly and kind to them. We don’t ever have to be concerned with mistreatment. Pricing is fair.

Took our dog here when our vet of over 6 years "couldn't" schedule is for over 10 days after an overnight visit to the Medvet emergency animal hospital. Fell in love with them on how they got us in quickly and how they treated our dog lovingly. They will be our new vet moving forward.

They took really good care of my 9 year old Cavalier King Charls while undergoing dental surgery. I also brought my 15 year old cat here last year not thinking he would be with us much longer and ever since the visit with the vet hes been doing great! For me, its a bit of a drive but well worth it.
