Please do NOT take your babies here! They are in the business of financially exploiting anyone who cares for their pets! My poodle had a minor ear infection to which they tried to charge me $250 for an office visit and ear cleaning solution NOT including any blood work, fecal test, heartworm preventative, etc. Then they told me I would have to come back for follow up ear cleaning appointments at same price. I recommend Sachse Vet Hospital or Rowlett Vet Clinic for much more reasonably priced medical care!! This place is insane and I will never go back! The unprofessionalism and rude attitude by staff must have been an added bonus for an overall horrible experience!

BEWARE: I bought the wellness plan because they said it would save me money. I only took my dog once for her yearly check up. I no longer have my dog, they still want me to pay the full amount for the wellness plan. I called other Vets in the area, their cost was $222. and $252. Banifield claims on the bill, that for their services it would cost $504. for the yearly visit. The cost of the wellness plan is $407. How do you claim it would cost $500. for a visit that most vets would charge less? I am happy to pay for the visit I used, not at an outrageous price! They respond and tell you to contact them trying to show they care. They then drop it and walk away. They will not do anything for you. They want to over charge you and make you pay!

This place is a joke. Their staff is very rude, they trick people into signing up for their plans, and then give you the run around when you try to cancel. Do not go here, ever! Everything I’ve read on the negative reviews are true. Avoid this place at all costs.

They were great! Got us right in. We have a brand new puppy that wasn't well. They got us in on a busy Friday thankfully. Very friendly. Fair priced. This is our new vet.

If I hadn't made the mistake of getting the wellness plan I'd never take my dogs here. They staff doesn't seem all that interested in the wellbeing of the animals, more of a maximizing profit vibe. Since coming here both my dogs are terrified of the vet. Do not get the wellness plan. They let you cancel at any time but make you pay the full year total and the cost doesn't turn out you having saved anything.

I called on Saturday 5/15/21 at 12:30 pm. Our regular vet was closed, but I knew Banfield had better hours. My dog was coughing horribly like she had something lodged in her throat and coughing up phlegm. We were scared and very worried. I explained this to the receptionist and she told me, “sorry we don’t have any appointments left for today. You can call the Forest Lane location. They have appointments for today.” That location is at least 45 minutes from my house in Wylie. She did not at all seem concerned that my 11 week old puppy might have an obstruction in her airway or throat or anything. Granted, she’s just a receptionist, but this is completely unacceptable! I was a pet care receptionist for 6 years. 2 of them at a Banfield. Due to COVID restrictions, that the rest of the state is 100% open, (EXCEPT FOR VETS?! What the actual heck?!) they wouldn’t help us. Instead, we had to pay $150 emergency fee WHEN THEY WERE OPEN AND COULD HAVE SEEN MY PUPPY!!! I NEVER would have (and never did) send a customer, especially an emergency away. It’s the life of a pet. A family member. I am saddened and disappointed at the lack of professionalism from Banfield and it’s employees. Btw, my puppy is doing fine now. She did have something in her throat, but cleared it prior to getting to the vet. Thank goodness! We did have to pay $424 for something that would have cost half that, but I’m glad my puppy is ok. We had to drive farther, but that’s when she cleared it, so it is what it is.

They gave me an open appointment asap, then provided great care and attention for my dog Guero. Dr. Pritchard was great and explained our dogs situation carefully, for us to make the best decision.

These folks are the best in care for our pets. They take a very nuanced approach to care and treatment if your dog isn’t feeling well. Very kind and compassionate and everyone on the team is wonderful. We wouldn’t take our little guys anywhere else.

Terribly inefficient. I drop my dog there monthly for the same thing. Everytime I fill out 3 pages of information they already have. My name, dogs name, reason for appt, date, etc, etc, etc. In this computer age I cannot believe how inefficient and outdated there intake process is. I reviewed this place and described my experience. I received a reply from them to call or email. They claimed to want to speak to me to correct any issues. I emailed amd left a voice mail. Guess what, that was weeks ago. Obviously they only reply online to show other readers how responsive they are. It's probably even an automated reply.

Called on a weekend for an elderly pet. Refused to see because they planned to close in 20 minutes. End of life for poor animal and they would not even stay 10 mins after closing. How sad.

If i could rate this place a zero i would. We took our elderly chihuahua in and she was misdiagnosed and offered tests and medications she didn't need. It appeared they were only after money instead of what Mia actually needed. We took Mia to a different vet the next day and she had to be put to sleep. If she had been diagnosed properly they would have been able to save her life. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of getting their pet examined at this facility to look elsewhere.

My dog does not and has not ever seen a vet at Banfield and after my experience there this morning, I would most definitely never even consider taking her there. My dog was just diagnosed by our vet with a digestive disease that requires prescription dog food. My vet is currently out of stock of the specific kind I need so she wrote me a prescription to take to a store that sells prescription diets. The ONLY reason I even went to the Wylie PetSmart location is because I checked online and it was the only store near me that showed they had the dog food in stock. My husband and I arrived at the store and were told that we would need to bring our prescription to the Banfield vet clinic so that they could print us a prescription card that we could present to the PetSmart cashier when we checked out. So we went to the front desk at the vet clinic and were helped by two young ladies. One was a new employee who was being trained by the other girl. They were both nice and helpful at first but after entering all of my info into the computer they both went to the back to get my card that had printed out. When they returned, the girl who was training the new girl shoved the card at me and said, “In the future, don’t speak about our employees that way.” Her tone was very rude and condescending and I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about because I had not spoken badly about anyone!! In fact, we had had a great experience there up until that point! My husband and I both looked at each other completely confused and asked what she was talking about. What did I say that she thought was offensive? She refused to tell us and just said that it was brought to her attention that I had said something about one of the employees. My husband demanded to talk to her supervisor. I even asked the customer behind me in line if she had heard me say anything rude about anyone. The lady said she wasn’t really paying attention and the employee said, “see, she said she wasn’t paying attention.” At this point my husband was furious and kept demanding to talk to her manager. The manager came out and was very nice and finally said that someone heard me say that I would never bring my dogs there because they are a bunch of idiots!! My husband and I both looked at each other and laughed because what I had actually said after looking around and noticing how calm and well behaved most of the dogs there were being was that we could never bring our dogs there because they would act like a couple of idiots! My dogs are not well behaved in public and they would have been excited and barking and jumping around like crazy! And this was a comment that I had made TO MY HUSBAND when the two girls had stepped away from us for a minute to help someone else!! I wasn’t speaking bad about ANYONE there but the girl must have overheard just one part of my comment and assumed I was calling them idiots! I have never been so embarrassed in my life! If she thought I was talking bad about an employee she should have either ignored it or asked me in a nice way if she had heard what she thought she heard. I have manners and respect for people and I would never have stood there and called someone a name like that! For her to halfway listen to a private comment I made to my husband and then misconstrue it in the way that she did was humiliating. These employees need to learn that if you didn’t hear something directly and clearly than don’t assume you know what was said!! After explaining to the manager what my actual comment was this girl tried to approach us again and apologize for what she said. She tried to make an excuse for herself by saying it had been busy and stressful that morning! That’s no excuse for such terrible behavior! I won’t be back for sure and we are escalating this to corporate!!

Made an appointment at 10am and did a drop off because they said it was the only time available. They didn't take a look at my cat untill 4pm. They didn't update me on anything for 7 hours. Made a procedure without my consent and over charged me by giving the most expensive antibiotics. Receptionist tried to give me an update and to reassure me when I drove back to the hospital since I didn't hear anything from them! They said they've called me and left me a voicemail? Nope. I had my phone on me the whole entire day because I was worried sick. Not sure if they really care about your animals or if it's more money in their pockets but I will not be returning to this hospital after giving them two almost three years of business.

Inconsiderate, poor management and not professional. No point on paying a monthly fee, if you do not prioritize your members needs!!!

This place is awesome and they really care for your pet(s). They als offer Wellness programs which includes a lot; thus making visits less costly. I can't brag enough -- I'm so glad I found them.

Site says they accept emergency visits but when we went to the store we were advised the staff member on site wasn't qualified for an emergency evaluation.
