10/10 Recommend!! As a first time GSD owner, I needed all the help I could get! Sheila was AMAZING with Tank! We focused on him loving his crate, and she taught me what to do and how to manage it when he doesn’t respond. A 15 week old GSD is very high in energy and I was running out of ideas to keep him occupied! Sheila helped so much! Tank was so exhausted after she left! I’m looking forward to my next sessions!

Ahmed was awesome! He taught us and our dog very important skills. He would demonstrate the desired behavior and then teach us how to do it. He provided lots of great information for us to use at home. Ahmed was patient with our children and taught them how to handle our puppy. I would highly recommend Ahmed!

Nipsey work well with Shelia to learn to stay and come so he won't be visiting all the neighbors when the front door opens! I love the positive training!

Sheila came to our house to help us with our boxer who has been very protective of her things and also barks at everyone and everything that passes by our house. Sheila helped us understand the dog's perspective and showed us how to use that understanding to get the behaviors we want. We've put them to use and they're working! Ahmed has been an incredible trainer for our Bella! Bella has anxiety and our vet recommended training! We called Sit Stay Obey Academy and have been doing one on one training sessions with Ahmed. We have completed 5 one hour sessions and Bella has learned so much! Bella has learned the basic commands of Sit, Stay, Touch, Come, and Down! We have also learned how to walk on a leash without pulling and running on a long leash! Recently, we started with mat training! I highly recommend Ahmed! He’s so wonderful with our girl! Plus, he loves giving feedback during the week in between sessions!!!

We have a 4 month old Cavalier who needed help with potty training, biting and commands. We wanted a trainer who would use positive behavioral reinforcement, not fear or punitive training. Sheila was the perfect trainer for us! We scheduled for the 2 hour In-home training. She listened to what we needed and kept us actively involved, believe we can continue with the methods she taught us. Would definitely recommend!!

Today, my puppy (Cockapoo) had the opportunity to receive training with Ahmed!!! Ahmed was excellent and my puppy’s behavior changed after 1 hour of our 2.5 hour session!!! Ahmed even taught me a lot on how to connect with my puppy and for him to understand my verbal commands. We learned so much today. I can say, we are satisfied customers!!! After training, my puppy took a much needed nap.

Sheila does an excellent job! My puppy was a little nervous and hesitant at first but took a lot of time and patience and finally got him to work with her. He did very well for one session and was impressed.

I researched a few different in home training people before I decided on Sheila. I would highly recommend Sheila and Sit Stay and Obey to anybody wanting good positive results! We have a husky pup with a VERY a short attention span. Sheila worked her magic and had her paying attention and very responsive within the first 10 minutes! I’m looking forward to continuing our training.

We were at a loss with our 3 dogs. They fought so aggressively they could not even be allowed to look at each other without causing them to go into a rage. We were told by a vet behavior specialist that we would have to get rid of one. I turned to Sheila as my last resort. She has been working with us and after our 5th session our two worst offenders actually ate their food in the same room as each other. I cannot say enough good things about Sheila and her services. We still have a long way to go but I never imagined we would be this far so fast!

We recently had a session with Morris for our 5 month old Pomeranian. As a family we learned a lot about different behaviors and strategies to help us condition the wanted behaviors! Morris was patient with us and the puppy and had such a great way of breaking down the techniques used. We could not believe how much the puppy and we learned in just 1 session. If any further training is needed we will definitely use sit, stay, obey and request Morris.

Sheila is very responsive and professional. All around a very good person that loves what she does. I will definitely be using her in the future.

We had an extremely anxious puppy which did not adjust well to new visitors at our house. Through positive behavior modification suggestions from Sheila, Roxie improved immensely. Sheila’s method of ignoring unwanted behavior and rewarding good, positive behavior has benefitted all of us. Roxie has learned basic commands, enjoys playing ball and drop it games, and is a much happier dog. We saved important commands for special treats such as cheese or chicken (her favorites) for when we need to call her to come immediately to avoid danger. Sheila also recommended several unique toys which Roxie enjoys using to relieve stress and allows her to forage for her own kibble. She really loves her roly-poly ball and her snuffle mat. I highly recommend the trainers at Sit, Stay, Obey Academy especially Sheila Bertelsen and Ahmed Monib.

Juneau and I are so happy Sheila came out to help us both! He has been through so much with him being in and out of shelters. He has now found his forever home and Sheila help me understand how to reward properly. I can’t wait to continue to work on his behavior.

We just finished our first session with Tricia, Sit Stay, Obey trainer/behaviorist. We learned so much and our mini schnauzer puppy Pierre did so well under her tutelage. I contacted Sit Stay Obey with concerns about my 1 year old basset hound. He wasn’t sleeping through the night at all and we were exhausted. Sheila was able to come out on a Saturday - two days after my first contact - and worked with our dog and us for two hours. Even though, this puppy is our 4th basset hound and we never experienced sleepless hounds (almost unheard of, ha ha), Sheila showed us how to mentally stimulate him and give him more of what he needs emotionally. We learned how to challenge him with games that he loves and needs. It has been a week and so far we are all doing great. We understand more of what he needs and by feeding his emotional cup, he is thriving and happier than before! He has slept through the night all week! Plus he is calmer during the day since we have taken her advice to mentally stimulate him. I highly recommend Sit Stay and Obey!

Sheila is an amazing dog trainer. We got a new puppy who was not getting along with our older dog (who started biting the puppy and our family). In one session, I can already tell a difference in their behavior. Sheila provided us the tools to work with our dogs for long term obedience training and happy pups! Sit Stay Obey was very understanding with my older dogs. They both have arthritis and were having a flare up the day Sheila came. She was still able to find ways to provide enrichment that did not aggravate their condition. We were able to focus on some of their ‘problem behaviors’ in a way that was positive and improved both theirs’ and my quality of life. Sheila was very clear about how to execute the training techniques and answered all of my questions. Even though I had a stranger in my home, I never got any bad vibes. You don’t need to be afraid about anything nefarious. SSOA is a professional service and conduct themselves as such. Now it’s up to me to work on these training techniques for the big payoff. This is a great service for anyone willing to put the work into their dog. Don’t expect quick fixes, but that goes for any training worth it’s salt.
