Dr. Fiona McCord and her wonderful staff helped us with the peaceful passing of our Sweet Precious Bear. Bear passed away on October 21, 2020. He started to get sick in November 2019. After months of vet care we found out that he had a 2.2lb tumor attached to his spleen. Bear went into surgery on February 18, 2020 which the tumor and his spleen was successfully removed. Bear bounced back fairly quickly for a 13 year old dog. He was his old self again for what seemed like almost 7 months. Then he got sick again as the cancer came back with a vengeance during the pandemic. We took him to more vets and had more ultrasounds and blood work done to confirm this. It was heartbreaking for our family because Bear was not just our dog he was our son and brother. On October 21, 2020 we made the decision that it was time to let him go not because we wanted to but because we had to. His time on Earth was running out and his death was drawing near. We felt powerless to this fact! Desperate to spare him anymore pain we called Compassionate Care Pet Services based in Frisco, Texas. They came out within a very short notice and at 11-11:30 a.m. we sang a few songs, gave him his last kisses and hugs then let him cross over the rainbow bridge. The whole process was very peaceful as we were allowed roughly 10 minutes with him after he passed to say our final goodbyes. Compassionate Care Pet Services helped us carry him to their car and off they went. A few days later, we received dried daisies, his ashes in a cedar engraved box, his bed, his collar and blankets. We received everything we ordered plus some. We received compassion, shared tears and hugs even at a distance while wearing masks due to the pandemic. We received texts of reassurance, a sympathy card after his passing as well as a today exactly 1 year after his passing we received a remembrance card saying "Remembering Bear.. Seems Like Only Yesterday. But I Know It's Been A Year.. thinking of you today." The back of her business card which was enclosed says "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear." Since his passing, I have seen Bear in the clouds, I have smelt him, felt his presence and heard his bark as well as had him visit my dreams over the course of the last year since he passed. It has been a pretty hard year grieving but I know that he isn't in pain anymore! I know in my heart and mind that he is with us and I know that he is at peace. Dr. Fiona and her very small staff of wonderful people made that happen for us. We will never forget everything that they did to make Bear's final moments very peaceful. I recommend Compassionate Care Pet Services to anyone whom has a beloved pet whose time has come to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Enclosed Pictures of Bear are when he was a puppy. -We LOVE U, BEAR! Always in our hearts and minds!- C.C.

What can be said about Dr. McCord that has not already been said? Dr. McCord helped us with the most beautiful and peaceful Rainbow Bridge crossing of our sweet boy Monchy. Monchy became sick in March 2021, and even when there wasn't much hope, and I had reached out to Dr. McCord, I wanted to try and give Monchy the best fighting chance he could have. Dr. McCord was so kind to give me the space and encouragement. Fast forward seven months, and continued health decline and I knew it was time. Dr. McCord was patient and absolutely compassionate. When she arrived, I truly believe that Monchy knew she was there for him and he gravitated immediately towards her. Dr. McCord was thoughtful enough to bring a grieving coloring book for my 7 yr old who was too sad to be part of our farewell and wanted to be at school. Dr. McCord ensured that Monchy had his favorite crackers, and prayed over him. She allowed us the opportunity to say goodbye to him, kiss and hug him as he crossed the rainbow bridge. She took such good care of him as she took him to her car. I knew in that moment that she showed him all the care and love that she knew I would have if I were having to carry him. She made a sad and painful goodbye the most sweetest and gentle. I'm so thankful for Dr. McCord. I miss Monchy every minute, but I know that he left peacefully and full of knowing our love for him.

Dr. Fiona made a very difficult day a little easier. She put our pup and human family at easy before, during, and after the process. Her calm and loving approach allowed our pup's journey over the rainbow bridge to be peaceful and without stress.

My husbands sweet baby of 8 years needed to be put to sleep, and we were a wreck trying to get last minute appointment for him. This is the first place we called, and the only place that really tried to get us in ASAP. We were able to get an appointment within 24 hours… we could not be more thankful how kind the Doctor was, and how peaceful the process was. She brought fresh daisies that I will be drying and keeping, gave us trimmed fur and assisted us in every way possible. My husband is a somewhat tough guy, but he was comfortable enough to release his emotions in front of this kind woman. The process is never easy, but we were able to feel at peace with releasing him into the hands of Dr Fiona. We will always remember this experience as bittersweet, rather than just bitter. Thank you from the Kim family…

Dr. Fiona was a God send. Call her - it will be the best decision you have ever made for your entire family. Although it is the worst day ever, somehow she makes it better.

Dr Fiona helped make the best of a terrible situation. Where in life does someone perfectly live up to your highest expectations and needs ? So grateful I found her to help me through the loss of my beloved pet.

Dr. Fiona is compassion personified. We've asked her to help us say goodbye to both our dogs. I cannot imagine going through either passing with anyone else.

As anyone reading this knows, losing a pet/member of the family is an incredibly painful experience that you're never prepared for. Quickly responding to our same day emergency request on a Sunday, Allison and Fiona helped us say goodbye to our girl (puppy) Micah with an above and beyond level of compassion and understanding that we can't even imagine anyone else being able to come close to.

Not many great things you can say about an in home euthanasia. I can say I appreciated how this company administered it and handled the final arrangements. Very comforting and proficient. Was important to me for my other dog to watch his sister go so he knew. Was happy compassionate was so caring and made the process as comforting as possible.

We lost our beloved Manya 1yr ago. Today in the mail we had a beautiful card remembering Manya. We were so impressed and grateful for the love and care we were given after she died, but we never got around to writing a review. After receiving this card, I knew I needed to drop everything and make the time. Our dog was 16.5yrs old and had been in pretty good health until the week before she died. We knew in the middle of the night that she was not doing well. We called an emergency vet hospital by our house, but they said we could not stay with her b/c it was the middle of the pandemic. My husband was frantically searching online for pet hospice options and found Dr. Fiona. He texted her and she responded within 10min. This was probably 4am in the morning. She had another appointment early, but said she would make time to come see us before. Our dog ended up passing within the hour, so my husband texted back and let her know. She was so kind and empathetic and asked if we needed after care, and we opted to do this instead of having to take her to our vet. She arranged for someone to come to the house and they covered Manya with a sweet dog bone blanket, gave her a pillow for her head, and carried her out on a stretcher. It was such a compassionate and loving experience. Now 1yr later to receive this card, solidifies what a blessing it was to find this service on that fateful day. Thank you for all of the love and compassion you showed our family and Manya!

Our 13 year old black lab Sasha had slowed down physically over the last 6 months. We thought it was just part of her aging but unfortunately it was not. Leading up to her passing, she didn’t eat much for a couple days. We were hoping that since she was still drinking water that she would be okay. Overnight and out of nowhere she began to lose control of her bowels. She was showing signs of distress and not able to lay/rest in any comfortable position. Then soon after that, she started bleeding heavily/hemorrhaging. It all happened so fast and we just couldn’t leave her in so much pain. I didn’t want to physically move her away from home and have her pass away in a place she wasn’t familiar with. I found Compassionate Care online and called first thing in the morning. Fiona and Allison showed up within the hour and made us feel as comfortable with the process as they could. They explained everything and they let us take our time saying good-bye. We are forever grateful we found them. I recommended them to all my family and friends.

I highly recommend Dr. Fiona and her staff. It was the hardest thing we had to do, but they made the whole process so peaceful and beautiful. They took the time to sit down and explain to my son exactly what was going to happen.

We had to lose our 14 year and 4 month old Chocolate lab yesterday. Dr Fiona is one of the kindest human beings on the planet. Her assistant Allison, was awesome as well. Losing a pet/person/best friend is very hard and painful but the compassion and love in doing it this way made a very sad time somehow not as sad; Sad, yes, but comforting and peaceful would be the better ways to describe the moments. We have another dog getting older too and I would not hesitate to use Dr. Fiona for one second

Fiona was just wonderful. My daughters dog, Tex was fighting lymphoma at only 4.5 years old. He fought the good fight and survived w/o chemo for 3 more months than normal time. Tex was a big Labradoodle. We called him a moose! We realized over the weekend that he was ready to move on. We contacted Fiona early this morning and she was able to be here by mid afternoon. She is an amazing woman. She made his transition to Rainbow Heaven so peaceful. She explained what was going to happen as we sat around Tex looking out over the pool. We were able to lay right next to Tex and my daughter had his head in her hands. We whispered loving words in his hears and rubbed his beautiful head. Our other two dogs were even part of the process. He went with his human and canine family right next to him. Fiona said a beautiful prayer once he was gone. She gave us private time to stay with him after he was gone. She wrapped him in plush towels and put some fresh daises around his face and he looked so handsome. We floated one of the daises in the pool as that was his favorite place. Fiona made an extremely hard day much easier to handle. Putting down a pet is never easy, but when the time does come, I highly, highly recommend Fiona and her lovely assistant, Allison. When the time comes for my two other dogs, I will call her again. Take my advice, don't hesitate to call. This is such a peaceful way to say goodbye to our fur babies.

Dr. Fiona was amazing! My 16-year-old Australian cattle dog (maya) was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Right in the middle of trying to move halfway across the country. I went back-and-forth on trying to make a decision on how to put her down in the most peaceful way possible. Fiona laid out all of the options and was extremely professional. The day of was really hard as you can imagine. And she was open and Patient to anything we wanted to do. We wanted to make her transition As peaceful and painless as possible. Even allowing my other dog to be present and allow time for us to say our goodbyes. She explained everything that she was going to do before hand and made sure we knew when she was going to give that final shot. She made this extremely difficult time a lot easier to handle. My little girl never experienced any pain or anxiety. She passed staring into my eyes. For that alone was worth every penny! Even after they stayed in contact with me letting me know how the after care was going. Putting down a lifelong companion is never easy. But Compassionate care pet services Gives you the peace of mind that your little loved one leaves this world in a peaceful painless stress-free environment.

Dr. Fiona & Allison made the worst day of my life somehow peaceful. I couldn’t have asked for a more loving, caring, kind and gentle soul to send my baby to Heaven.. what a blessing. If you are forced with this decision, don’t hesitate.. just call them. I will forever miss my baby, the pain is unimaginable. But these wonderful ladies are a true God send. ????

We used this service for our dog a few weeks ago. Dr Fiona was absolutely wonderful. Came to our home and made us and the other two dogs feel at ease through an absolute difficult time. I’d recommend her services to ANYONE needing to consider putting a beloved pet to sleep. It was genuinely peaceful.

Thank you Dr. Fiona for being so compassionate during my worst day. I really appreciate your kindness and that you could make it with such short notice. I didn’t want to have to have the last experience in saying goodbye to my beloved cat Sleuth to be where she hated to be, at the vet. Being able to have her comfortable at home was the best final gift I could do for her, with so many years of unconditional love she gave me. Dr. Fiona makes the hardest day a little better with an amazing bed side manner and empathy of how much the little one means to you. She doesn’t rush anything and provides the dignity your little one deserves.

Losing a beloved pet is such a painful experience. But Fiona made a sad time a beautiful transition for our sweet dog Lexi. I know it is a heavy burden for her to deal with fragile pet owners’ emotions but she does it with such grace and love. Thank you so much for treating Lexi so respectfully and loving as well as my family. You and Allison are amazing women and I’m so grateful that Lexi’s last moments were filled with all her favorite things and loving touches and words. I can’t state enough how amazing you were. ❤️

While no one ever wants to be in this position, I highly recommend Dr. Fiona if you find yourself needing this service. From the moment I began communicating with her, she was kind, compassionate and flexible. When she came to my home I felt like I had known her for years, and my pup seemed very comfortable around her. (Dogs are good judges of character.) The process was peaceful, loving and very meaningful. I’m grateful we met Dr. Fiona and since we will always be a multiple-dog family, I’m sure we’ll need her services again. Thank you, Dr. Fiona. You are an angel.

I cannot even put into words how amazing Dr. Fiona and Allison were. They came to my house and helped make something you never want to do a lot easier. My 11 year old labs time had come and we didn’t want him suffering, they came straight to us and helped explained things to my kids, they were so incredibly compassionate and caring. She had asked and I told her that we believe that he goes to heaven and Dr. Fiona asked if she could pray over us and our dog. To me I just felt like God put them in our path on purpose. I am so grateful to them both for how they helped us during such a hard time. They had paw prints made for my kids rooms and his ashes in a Box. They just went above and beyond to help comfort us and bless us. The way she helped explain things to my kids and helped us they just truly have a special gift.

We can’t thank Fiona enough for the kindness and love she gave us with our sweet baby girl Dixie. We are externally thankful for the peaceful way she helped Dixie go to the rainbow bridge. It was a terrible day but she helped make it as best as it could be. Thank you so much! I would never do something like this without her.

Compassionate Care Services was a gentle, loving and respectful experience. Dr. McCord took the time to talk to us beforehand and gently guide us peacefully through what felt more like a service than a procedure. We will be forever grateful to her and everything she did to go above and beyond to make the process comfortable for our baby and for us.
