We have been taking our dog here for years and will never go anywhere else. The staff has always been professional, courteous, and compassionate. The doctor's all listen, explain things in full and make sure all questions are answered. I feel Roxy gets good, gentle care here. Thank you Parkwood, for years of great service!

Our dog was having some issues and we were able to get in right away to be seen. All of the staff we interacted with were very caring and the doctors were very kind and knowledgeable. The office was flexible with scheduling and pick up times. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you.

Absolutely love this place! I first met Dr. Stehouwer when she worked for FW Animal Hospital, before this facility was even built. She is wonderful, and we loved her from the beginning. Due to scheduling, we got shuffled to Dr. Bachynsky, whom we also adore. More recently, we met Dr. Louvar, who is super competent and sweet. Honestly, this entire experience has been A+, from front staff to the veterinarians themselves. We will never go anywhere else!!!!

I'm new to the area, I have four pets and none of them were due for exams/ shots but I knew I'd eventually take them to Parkwood after many friend referrals. Yesterday the unthinkable happened and my cat was having a medical emergency, Parkwood was able to get him later that day. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and patient. Dr. Adam said he had been studying my cats case all day in preparation for my arrival (feline asthma). He explained everything to me in layman's terms (yet still being technical and honest) and overall I appreciated his willingness to really sit down with me and explain my cats circumstances - not rushed. Unfortunately I had to put my baby down. At the end of probably a long day, and after hours, Dr. Adam took his time with me and my baby. I will be taking my three remaining pets back here to Dr. Adam for his awesome care. Now I know why everyone recommends Parkwood.

OMG! I can't say enough! love, love, love them! my babies have only been twice, but it's more than enough. The staff, from Abby, Liz and Dr. Clark and the front desk n everyone else...so amazing! They worked us in on a Saturday cause my Chewy suffers from the worst allergies. Just after 2 days he's recovering so well. No more switching...Chewy & Chica have found their home!❤

I recently went to Parkwood for help managing my 14 yr old dog Max's anxiety and dementia. I had tried several other vets without any success. From the first visit Dr Adams did everything he could to find a solution to improving his quality of life and giving him more time with me. And he did it with kindness, thoughtfulness and patience. When we had done everything we could and it was Max's time I could not have asked for a more professional, helpful and thoughtful staff. They made a very difficult time easier to get through.

I just tried to call to book an appointment for my large breed dog who has a growing cyst on one of his legs, and the woman who answered the phone was very short with me. I was explaining my dogs situation and saying he would be a first time patient, and before I could finish speaking she cut me off to say “well the first appointment available for first time patients wouldn’t be until 3 to 4 weeks.” I said, “okay well I’m just trying to get some more information because..” Again couldn’t even finish speaking before she cut me off again to say the same thing. I didn’t even have the chance to say I’ve already had the cyst looked at, or that now that it’s gotten bigger it seems to bother him more, or that the last vet I use to go to had said he would eventually have to have it surgically removed. So being a nervous pet owner, knowing that it’s probably time to have my beloved dog undergo surgery, I’m trying to find somewhere that has a little more compassion & patience then the last vet clinic I had been to. I understand not having an appt for new patients for that amount of time, and would have happily made an appt for then, but the way she spoke to me on the phone came across very impatient and made it seem like she did not even want to bother with my phone call. Trying to turn me away by saying that new patients can’t be seen until 3-4 weeks. A friend recommended Parkwood animal hospital to me because her dog just had this same kind of cyst and had it surgically removed at this location and had nothing but great things to say about them. I’m honestly really disappointed because I had heard such great things about this animal hospital, and after having not the best experiences at the last vet clinic, I just had too high of hopes I suppose. I will gladly continue my search for a kinder experience somewhere else.

To be honest, I had used Dr Bob in Alvin for many many years. Unfortunately, he closed his office a couple of monthd back and didn't give his customers the courtesy of a email or text. I was going out of the country and started calling around. FAH got my boxer in the day I was leaving and after an examination and required shots , I was able to leave her for a week. Got her a luxury suite with a 65 inch tv and daily messages. ( kidding ). I will be using FAM going forward for my dog's needs and if you are reading this don't hesitate to trust them with yours. Nice clean facility, great staff and caring vets and techs there. Use Them !!

We have been taking our pup here for about a year! Our pup was in an awful situation before we adopted him a few years ago and is very very nervous around strangers. Stephanie was so kind, sweet, and knowledgeable when taking our pup in! Nothing but great experiences with everyone here. Such a caring team of individuals.

My dog was examined with symptoms of not eating, problems with passing of stool and no energy. They did ultra sound, cardiac imaging and lab work. Sent me home with canned dog food, antibiotics and probiotics. Twelve days later she had not eaten, except for one meal. She has lost 30% of her weight. I called and asked for her vet to call me. A tech called and told me to take her to a cardiac vet. They charged me $1062.00 to tell me that. Not happy. Taking her to another vet.

We love Parkwood Animal Hospital. Our whippet Winston has been going there since he was 8 weeks old. He was neutered 2 weeks ago and has done so well post procedure. We were worried since he is a sighthound and they are known for issues with anesthesia. Dr. Clark and the staff at Parkwood were very reassuring and knowledgeable about this issue. We can’t recommend them highly enough! ????❤️

I love my animals and I am also a worrier. Everytime I take one of my dogs here they explain everything thoroughly and tell you exactly what's up and how to go about it. I was scared to take my dog in for a spay and was going to go to a low cost spay/neuter clinic, but it seemed so informal and impersonal. Here, they see the pet before hand, check health, and make sure they can handle the surgery. This left me more at ease that my pup would be safe. They are also a full hospital in case anything else were to go wrong. Another thing I love is itemized receipts! I didn't even have to ask. It's a beautiful thing. They seem to genuinely care and it's run professionally alongside with small town charm. I will continue to use them for my animal care. I've used 4 different vet offices in the past and this is my favorite.
