There’s good and bad. The good is that my girl is clean and has an overall good cut. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good for me. I’ve been growing out my girls top knot for months and all the progress was lost when the groomer gave her “bangs”. This could totally have been a misunderstanding or a simple mistake. That being said, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the expert to double check the specifications of a groom especially when they were gone over prior to the groom. What was left of her top knot was SO tight and tangled. That was really upsetting to me and there just is no excuse for that. I had to cut the band out. I’ve never had that problem when doing her hair at home so I’m guessing he did it really fast or sloppily. There were a couple other minor issues; nails not filed and I didn’t get her collar back with her (had to go back to get it). Not a huge deal but all together it made for a very unpleasant grooming experience. So, maybe not the best groomer for long haired dogs? Or maybe they just didn’t take enough time to work on her. Response to owner: My review was more than fair and I didn’t ask for a refund as the work was still done and I did not deny James the tip I was planning to give him. Given your previous responses to other critical reviews and this rather snarky response to my review I put little to no stock in what you have to say here. Your overall attitude is very off putting. Because of that, you have made this experience even worse for a potential customer. Your behavior is immature, petty, and not what I expect from a business I support. Yikes. So, enjoy your additional subtracted star. If I could give you a zero I most certainly would.

I used to take my dog here with Alicia. She did a great job with him. I called to schedule an appointment once for my dog and had no problem. Shortly after I dropped him off for his appointment the owner called me to pick him up because he was very nervous. NO PROBLEM. I came right back. The problem is the owner was very rude to me when I entered. I didn’t even say anything and she accused me of knowingly bringing in my anxious (and possibly aggressive dog) to them when Alicia wasn’t there and that I should have know that only Alicia can groom him. I didn’t say a word. I almost left in tears and shaking. As I look at other reviews it seems like the owner has been rude to other clients. It’s unfortunate the way she responds to their reviews on here ???? This is my honest review and I’ve never ever been treated so bad by a business owner. Several years later and I’ll always remember how I was treated here.

James has been grooming our German Shepard for years. He has always done an amazing job. There’s always a lot of hair to deshed, and her nails grow extremely fast and she is extremely skittish when she gets her nails cut. He acts like it’s just wonderful to take care of her…… I know it’s not because that’s why I take her to the groomer! She is definitely not easy to care for. She would literally hide in the closet at bath time, and claw us up trying to escape the dreaded nail trimming. I can’t say enough good things about James.

Our girls love their trips to The Groom Room! The receptionist is always so sweet and greets us and our girls like old friends. James always takes such good care of Luna and Cookie! They aren’t dogs that need hair cuts or anything, we just love to pamper them and they love getting baths and new bandanas every month. They always get so excited when they see James coming out to get them. And they come back to us just as happy and smelling so clean. He does a great job with their nails too. Highly recommend this place!

Called to make an appointment for my dog. I went thru this long conversation about paying a deposit and blah blah blah. When I told her the dog’s age, the woman assumed that my dog would get scared going in there. He is so good at groomers. He has been to 3 different in his 14 years of life. Have never had any issues. All of them have loved grooming him. I’m new in Texas looking for my next long term groomer for my 2 dogs. Stop assuming because of his age that he will act like all other senior dogs! Also, I told you I would use the appointment for either of my 2 dogs. The other dog is 4, how do you know I wasn’t going to bring him instead if I could get a sooner appointment for my Bichon? After she knew the older dog’s age she became very rude and told me to go to see a Vet instead. I have never been so disappointed by a business’ poor customer service.

I can certainly say that I am so happy with this place. An excellent place to get your new puppy started off with being groomed and socialized with groomers.

We had an amazing first time experience!! Since we rescued our dog we haven’t taken her to the groomer. Today was a first for us both and she looks so beautiful!! I was very nervous since she is super anxious but she did amazing. Thank you Laura, she looks amazing and is so happy❤️ the groom room employees were so kind and helpful. We will be back!

We went here for the first time after our normal groomer was out on medical leave. Our schnauzer's groom was the BEST, our schnauzer's behavior was not ????????‍♀️ (she doesn't bite or nip but she is a barker) Groom Room handled her groom and barking so nicely. Extremely professional and fantastic place.

Absolutely love the Groom Room. Crystal has been so helpful in orienting my standard poodle puppy to grooming and service is amazing at this place! They are professional, helpful, and personable. Definitely recommend!!!

My babies got groomed today and look great. They also seem quite content. It was our first time at the groom room and I’m very impressed. The price was reasonable and they were both done in under 2 hours!

I have a 3 year old Goldendoodle and in his entire life I've never found someone able to give him a haircut that I didn't hate. PetSmart groomers cut him on multiple occasions and then tried to lie about it so I've been nervous of taking him to a groomer because he's now scared. Crystal at the Groom Room did an AMAZING job! He came out happy and looking good not a scratch on him. I have found my place that I can regularly schedule his grooms now and not worry about having a funny looking dog! Highly Recommend to anyone especially Doodle Owners!

Customer service is great. My dogs were very calm when picked up. The grooming was excellently done.

This was my first experience with the Groom Room, and honestly I was very disappointed. I called ahead to get best recommendation for whether I should give my 10 month old Shepard/husky a cut or just a good grooming to deal with excessive shedding from blowing his winter coat. The woman I spoke to (apologies I cannot remember her name) sounded super pleasant, and immediately recommended a wash and de-shed, rather than a cut. She sounded confident they could deal with the shedding. When we picked him up, we were told they couldn’t trim his nails (he is anxious about having his nails trimmed sure, but many many dogs are) and we’d have to take him to the vet for that. 1) This is literally their job...groomers handle aggressive breeds all the time, if they can’t handle a super friendly, non-aggressive but energetic and strong dog, then disclose that up front. 2) My vet consists of a couple very small, young, petite women, who have managed to trim his nails in a few minutes with the right handling, no problem. On top of that, he was shedding even more when we picked him up than when we dropped him off. So, I paid $70 basically for just a bath, which I could have done for free at home. Everyone there was super friendly and cheerful and seemed to genuinely care about the animals, which is great, you get two stars for that. But this is a groomer, if they can’t perform basic grooming as promised, I cannot use or recommend them. *EDIT responding to owner reply* I won't take time re-hashing facts and reasonable assumptions I've already covered or individually respond to the flaws in your reasoning here. However, as for your final reply, which I'll paraphrase as "if you don't like it, take your dog elsewhere", that's very disappointing, given that the result I received was fully unsatisfactory. I would have hoped for a little more ownership of the quality of work, especially on a first visit. And implying that you're better than other groomers as a defense against simply doing a poor and incomplete job is kind of ridiculous.

Love the Groomers here! They only keep my fur baby for the time it takes to groom her.

Not the best first experience. Positives: they completed my dog within two hours, so at least she wasn’t there all day. She was also clean shaven, even though it was not to my specifications per the conversation with the groomer. Negatives (hence the minimal stars): this is a nickel and dime location. We had to pay additional for a bow (we have never encountered this), I did not receive my 10% off for first time appointment (they should have been forthcoming with this), and they wanted to charge me $2.00 more because, well, no real reason (unclear on website, even though my dog met the weight requirement). I also received an email receipt stating they were charging an additional 3% because I used a debit/credit card-also not stated on their website, which is also a hot mess all on its own. Serious monetary discrepancies. I MAY take my other dog there if I can’t find another location and if I’m desperate enough. Rest assured, I will be bringing cash and my OWN bow should that happen. Be prepared to pay more than what is advertised.

First time booking with the Groom Room was great!! I decided last minute to get my dog groomed and I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. Love that bookings are able to be done online and my dog doesn't have to be there all day since it's literally appointment slots. She was done in an hour and she smells delicious!! I'll definitely continue using them as our primary groomer!

The Groom Room is the BEST place to get your fur babies groomed they have been grooming our dogs for years now and they always do the best job they come out look perfect!

Always take care of my senior babies. Have been going here for years and will continue to do so!
