Since starting Dogtopia I've loved everything minute. I do think that who controls their social media needs to do a better job of updating on the daily. My dog is an individual at dogtopia not just a name. They spend a lot of time getting to know each dog and owner. They celebrate millstones, birthdays, all dog holidays, and have monthly events. I'm happy with her there and she's safe. The staff is great and it's nice to actually see the owners there in the building. As long as I live in the area she will be there!

When I first found out about Doptopia Inwood I was ecstatic to find a day care less than a mile from my home. The employees were friendly and I just knew I found a forever place for my pup to call his home away from home. That was short lived. Initially, my only complaint was that my dog reeked of urine every time I picked him up. I had to keep a bottle of waterless shampoo spray in the vehicle to spray him down before letting him load up to return home. My next issue arose after my fully vaccinated dog came down with a case of Bordetella. I took him to my vet and the vet informed me that my dog was the fourth dog to come to the clinic from a Dogtopia facility with the kennel cough. When I got home I called and left a message with the front desk letting them know that I would not be returning my dog to the facility while he was recuperating and taking his antibiotics. At no point in time did I have anyone follow back up with me and never was there a notice posted about any infections being spread. The third and final strike came after I was watching their web cams one day and saw a young lady cleaning the plastic trays that slide into the bottom of metal kennels. No big deal, great to see them cleaning! While watching, I noticed a group of dogs that started rough housing amongst each other. You really couldn’t tell if they were fighting or just playing rough, but regardless the lady who was cleaning the trays spun around with plastic tray in hand and took swings at the group of dogs, hitting them with the tray and then proceeded to jab the tray between the dogs in an aggressive attempt to separate them. I was in dismay with what I witnessed. Immediately I call and spoke with the front desk, she sounded extremely concerned and offered to let me speak with a manager. I declined, expecting them to handle the issue themselves and I was going to speak with the manager when I picked up my dog after my meetings completed anyways. When I arrived to pick up my dog the manager was nowhere to be seen. I once again asked the front desk if my concern was being addressed and she assured me that they were performing an internal investigation and were reviewing the webcams. At this time I reiterated the time frame to check and which playroom camera to watch. The lady who hit the dogs with the kennel tray brought my dog to me, I took his leash and left. As I left I noticed everyone staring out the windows of the entrance which made for a very uncomfortable moment. The next morning I had not heard back from the manager so I sent an email explaining everything again to ensure there was at least a paper trail detailing what I saw. I promptly received a phone call back from the manager who left me a voice mail who explained that they had reviewed the camera footage for the wrong time and the wrong room and left their mobile number for me to call him back. I was finally able to return his call later that evening and he attempted to explain the incident, noting that their employees are not trained to use items laying around to break up the dogs in the event of a fight. He said that they had spoken to the employee and that she would no longer take such an aggressive approach when trying to break the dogs up but explicitly noted that he couldn’t guarantee that I would never see an incident like that happen in the future. So you can’t guarantee my dogs safety from your own employees. That’s great. I get it, employee safety is important, but ensuring my dogs safety from the other dogs as well as the employees is important to me as a customer. I took a week to myself to consider how they handled the situation and in the end I decided to move my dog to a different day care and boarding facility. I notified them that I would not be allowing my dog to return and requested a refund on my remaining day care package that I preordered, a week later they finally processed the refund. If you value the safety of your furry companions, or their smell, I highly recommend that you check out K-9 University in Garland or Plano or Camp Bow Wow.

Spent almost $600 for 4 days with my two dogs here during Christmas. Bought extra treats and full bath, nails, brush out etc…. With the suite as well. Came back from traveling to pick them up and the front desk attendant was incredibly rude and confrontational. Couldn’t get her to stop being so aggressive and just give my dogs back. Told me to take my business elsewhere as well…. Couldn’t be more disappointed and sad about the amount of money I spent for 4 days with this business. Especially since we drive 70 miles from our home to drop them off and another 70 to pick them up. The dogs do great there besides getting sick once, but the customer service is awful and pretentious.

Very disappointed in our last stay with Dogtopia Inwood. After a week boarding- we received our dog visibly covered in dirt, smelling like he was soaked in urine for a whole week, seemed very unhappy/stressed. We immediately asked management about his care - to which they said “it was a busy week”. We asked if they could bathe him for us at least before our trip home - but they would not unless we paid. We paid (a lot) for him to be taken well care of for the week— he obviously wasn’t. And management did not take care of us after we first brought it to them. Very disappointed with the care our dog and us received. I hope they aren’t letting dogs be soaked in urine for weeks on end while boarding…. That’s what appeared to have happen. Very disappointed with Dogtopia- a place we used to love.

My girl LOVES daycare. She gets excited when we get nearby and has the best day running around and making new friends. I think the nap time is really beneficial to ensure that none of the dogs get grumpy and she always saves her last bit of energy to burst out of the door. When we get home she is out for the night, only gets up to have her dinner and go for her evening walk. We love that she's safe and happy during the day and worn out at night!

I spoke with the owner who is very rude and condescending as if my animal was sick before she got there! My dog has been sick for 48hours he made it seem like because my dog came out running when I picked her up that she was fine! Clearly she was not fine, and I’m now taking legal action! This has been twice my dog has been sick being here! And to make it imply that my dogs home life is some how abusive is disrespectful as hell!

I’ve been to 2 other daycare places with my dog and neither of them matched the level of care and service she gets at Dogtopia Inwood. It genuinely matters to the employees if your dog is having a good time or not - they even called me at work one day to ask if they could put my dog in the small dog room since she didn’t seem to be engaging with the bigs. I almost always get a verbal report about how she did during the day without my having to ask. They notice behavior and want the best for your pup! It’s a tad more expensive than the other places I’ve gone but worth the extra!

The staff members are well trained and personable. My dog had an amazing time there! I knew he did because I was able to watch him through the cameras they have in the rooms. I’m definitely taking him back when I travel again. I highly recommend taking your dog to Dogtopia!

TL;DR My dog was crated numerous times throughout the day My dog came home soaked and smelling like urine every time Staff not suited to handle active, playful dogs I have been a long time client at Dogtopia Plano (you can see my 5-star review on their page), unfortunately, they have temporarily closed down. Since I had purchased a 20-day pass, I was offered the option of transferring my pass to another nearby location. Everything went great during the initial evaluation for my dog as well as his first day at daycare. And then all the questionable “feedback” began. I was told that their location has had many transfers from the Plano location and that the actual behavior does not match up with the dogs’ behavior on file. They asked me if the Plano location have ever complained about him being playful and I told them no. The staff at the Plano location has been nothing but lovely and wonderful to work with. To which they responded that maybe the staff at the Plano location wasn’t forthcoming and that their standards for intaking dogs were higher. Which confused me because he had an evaluation day and a daycare day prior to receiving this feedback. So if they did not want to transfer him they should have notified me the day of the evaluation. I was also told that there is a risk of him being bitten by another dog if he doesn’t stop playing. Again, I was confused because the behavior that’s of concerned is how playful my dog is and not the aggressive dog that might bite him? I’m not sure what the point of daycare is if my dog is not allowed to play and exercise. If I wanted to crate him or make him sit all day, I would keep him at home. This is an opportunity for him to play and socialize with other dogs so receiving this feedback is ridiculous. Another complaint I have against the Dallas Inwood location is that my dog comes home smelling like urine every time without fail. This is unsanitary and makes me question how well this location does in terms of keeping dogs clean and preventing the spread of diseases. This is not the only doggy daycare in town and there are PLENTY other options available where you can rest assured your dog is in good hands, has fun, and come home clean.

Great service from the front desk both over the phone and in person. Thorough meet and greet process. I like the activities provided for my dog during his stay. I loved the webcam access and very much appreciated the written report sent home with him about his time there. We will go back.

Tucker loves going up to Dogtopia. He gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. We can't get to the door quick enough. Hes a very social dog, loves playing with other dog and people. Daycare is very reasonably priced and the people working there are so friendly. He will frequently stop on our way out and say goodbye to the everyone at the desk. Extremely happy with the services at Dogtopia.

We were traveling through Dallas and use Dogtopia in Nashville. Dogtopia Dallas did not disappoint. The staff was quick to accommodate our needs and schedule. The facilities are always so clean and the staff is always friendly. I trust Dogtopia for my dog day care and boarding needs and she can be a handful. I love that they have “nap time” mid day and the cameras are always available when you want to drop in on them. It’s great that there is always a human or two in the room with the pups making sure everyone is “playing nice”. Highly recommend!!

My dog was temperament tested and accepted by Dogtopia. But when I took him to have a play day they kept him in a crate. He got to play 5 minutes. They said he was a bully yet other dogs were playing as rough or more aggressive than mine. The video is a great way to watch. DO NOT USE DOGTOPIA!

We feel safe boarding our dog Rocky here. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We also love that we can watch our dog on a live web cam when they are playing. So happy we found a great doggy day care/boarding close to our new home!

I have a 2yr old Labrador that is a long lost brother of the Energizer Bunny, he never stops moving. Since I started taking him to Dogtopia for Daycare twice a week, he is a completely different dog. He sleeps through the night all week, he’s quiet and spends most his time napping/relaxing VS constantly in everyone’s business, chewing furniture/walls, pottying in the house out of boredom. I love bringing him and love that they remember him and let me know what he does throughout the day while I’m busy at work!

I love how they care for Teeka and provide her with becoming herself. She has opened up more, she's more comfortable with other dogs and people.

My chocolate lab practically begs me to go see his friends at Dogtopia! We've been apart of the Dogtopia family for over a year now, and the staff really does care for my dog. I love taking him for a day of daycare when I know I have a hectic day ahead of me. When I pick him up, he is exhausted and sleeps the whole next day! Can't say enough good things about our experience.

Scheduled an appointment and gave info over phone. Drove 20 miles, showed up and then found out that since we hadn't had our pupper for 3 months yet they wouldn't accept him. They apologized but definitely wasted our time.

My handsome boy (bull mastiff) ALWAYS has an amazing time when he goes to visit his friends. Thank you for always making him feel welcome. And he loves his baths (well, minus the dryer...ha!) and comes home all squeaky clean.
