We’ve had to take our beloved little garbage disposal Hazel in twice for eating things she shouldn’t and both times the staff have been wonderful! The vets and techs are all knowledgeable, friendly and kind. They take the time to explain everything well and make sure you understand your options. Susan at the front reception area is hands down AMAZING! She’ll help you with even the silliest question or request and her calm demeanor is exactly what’s needed when a panicked pet owner calls or comes in. Highly recommend Airport Freeway Emergency Animal Hospital and will continue to take my pets there should the need arise.

Five stars for an animal hospital, Obviously they are more expensive than going to your own personal vet. However they do not try to get you to pay for a bunch of things that your animal does not need, they are genuinely caring and the wait time is extremely low for an animal hospital. I would not have them for a primary vet, But I would highly recommend them if it’s an emergency.

It’s been 3 hours and I am still waiting to see the doctor. My dog is in pain… thought this was an ER. Need more staff to be working so they can keep their clients happy.

I went in because my dog sassy was in really bad conditions for 2 days so it got me really worried. As soon as I got there they attended her right away. They all seemed as concerned as I was. They made me feel comfortable to leave her in their hands right away. Unfortunately she needed surgery. But of course everything came out to be good! Thanks to their hard work. I couldn’t find any better way thank them for saving my sassy. They took really good care of her, and had the best customer service ever. I don’t know the receptionist name, but she was amazing! Everyone there did a beautiful job. Thank you so much ❤️ Thank you Dr’s.

I took my dog in tonight because he had vomited a couple times. Heart rate a little high. They told me he had a heart mumor and a list of other test ranging close to $3000. He just visited his vet in August and no complaints but lose 5-10lbs. He is a chocolate lab a big dog. Tonight I feel like was a waste of time with no answers but let’s charge you a ton of money and give you answers in the morning. I will not return here with either of my labs. I am thankful for our vet and there honesty to wait until morning and they will handle it for a small portion of what they were asking to charge.

I can't find the correct words to say how happy I feel to have arrived at this hospital, I was desperate and without hope for my little dog who was already almost on the verge of death, in other hospitals they asked me for too much money, that the truth I couldn't pay that amount, and they suggested putting my pet to sleep if I couldn't afford, my son went into depression. So I found this hospital and not only the quick action of the staff, but also the costs for the services are more reasonable. My puppy was very sick, they gave him 1 or 2 weeks to live ???? in the other hospital that I couldn't pay, but here in this hospital they brought him back to life. This hospital really deserves 10 stars. All the staff were friendly and professional but most importantly they took care of and helped my little dog. Thank you very much.

Our beloved 13 year old canine friend passed away earlier this morning. This hospital made a huge difference when it came to saying goodbye. Our family is grateful to the staff and particularly, to the doctor on staff at 3 am. She was beyond wonderful. The staff had no agenda other than to be honest, compassionate, and render the best service possible, even at 3 am. 5 ⭐

$110 to tell us that our dog “looks like she doesn’t feel good” and to tell us it’ll be $300 for a liver and kidney panel.

I can't say enough about how responsive and caring this animal emergency hospital is. I thought my cat was having breathing issues late one night so I called them to give a heads up that I was heading their way. Much to my surprise they were waiting at the door and immediately took him from me. As I was waiting in one of the rooms a vet tech came in and compassionately listed to me as I was crying with worry. After a bit the veterinarian came in and with much detail explained what was going on with my cat Lefty and about the suggested treatment plan along with a care estimate. I am happy to say Lefty is back healthy once again. The bill for services was very reasonable and was actually less than the estimate! I highly recommend this place.

I used their services when my dog Tbone went into distress late at night. They answered their phone on the first ring and were helpful and talked my family through choking procedures and dog CPR over the phone. And when we showed up at their clinic, they were so, so kind. The receptionist was amazing. She met us promptly outside and hoisted my heavy lab up like he was a feather and rushed him inside. They were knowledgeable and so understanding. Their smiles they showed made me feel better through my tears. And as much as us pet owners don’t want to admit it, the price of these things add to the stress. Their charges were VERY fair and affordable. My dog Tbone did not make it, but they helped me make a very difficult decision without adding any guilt. I highly recommend them. My mind even kept going back to their staff’s kind voices and smiles, the next day through my tears.

We took our dog here on 8/27/2021 because he was dragging his leg. The vet Dr. Rizwan Shazad said he would be paralyzed and it would move to his other leg. He was very incompetent and told us his quality of life would be bleek. He wanted us to put him down. He did not give my dog a through exam. As we sat outside waiting for our dog, we witnessed 3 dogs in caufins coming out within 30 minutes of eachother. We took our dog to his vet and he is not near death as Dr. Shazad told us he was. My concern is, why is he putting animals to sleep when they probably didn't need to be put down. I will be filing a report with the Texas State Board of Veterinary. There are other good doctors that did take care of our animals before this. But Dr. Shazad is not one of them. Please get a second opinion for your furkids.

We brought a kitten in Tuesday that I had bumped with my car. She was a stray, but bc I hit her, I felt responsible for her. I paid over $1000 that evening. Supposedly she would be worked on once pmt was made. Nothing overnight. No call Wednesday, so I had to call them. It turns out they STILL had not worked on this poor kitten bc “other patients” came in. I paid $1000+-she IS a patient. Wednesday night the vet said she’d call and tell me how her procedure went, or text me at the very least-no call, no text. I texted what I suppose is their accounting or reception number complaining about their lack of keeping me informed, or letting me know anything at all. Friday when I took her home, I was told her splint needed to be changed weekly but that that was free of charge, i.e included in the procedure I’d already, and promptly, paid. Initially I was supposed to bring her back the following Wednesday, but she kept dragging her splint through her litter box, and I was concerned about keeping her clean. I called and the tech said go ahead and bring her in Sunday and again I was told no charge. I bring her there Sunday but instead of changing the splint or explaining the difference they take her and just change the outer bandage telling me to “come back tomorrow” to change the splint. Had I been told there was a difference I would have driven the 2 towns over Sunday. We then brought her Monday and I was told $180. The vet told me they would do it as a “freebie” this time…as if I was asking for their services for free! I understand they’re doing work, providing a service, but when I had been told by 2 SEPARATE techs there would be no charge, that’s what I expected. Then we’re basically “on call”, again 2 towns over, to come pick her up. When they called 4ish, my husband we’d be there at 7 to get her…bc again we are 2 towns away. They then said they would charge a boarding fee…..for 3 hours when I had been running back and forth all week trying to deal with this. I will NEVER go here again. I only went here bc my vet recommended it, but there is an emergency clinic on I-20 we’ve been to before, and with the lack of communication from this place, and incorrect information given, I don’t even care if the I-20 clinic costs more. I would rather pay them than this place! Horrible experience.

I lost my 19 year old cat and had to take her here in her final hour. The Dr and techs were so kind and helped make her transition as peaceful as possible for all of us. The reason I give them 3 stars is bc when I went to pick up her remains the next day, after waiting 25 minutes in my car (they are operating curb side) I called back and was told, "yeah, we're, like, so busy" (only one other car there). Then, the same girl brought my baby out and carried her remains as tho she were a waitress carrying her tray, like up over her shoulder with one hand. Am I supposed to be impressed? If you want to be a waitress go be a waitress. Otherwise your job is to tactfully bring me my baby, say I apologize for the wait, and I'm sorry for your loss. If you can't find a single shred of compassion 12 hrs after me losing my companion, I highly, highly recommend you find another job. Bc of this one particular girl and her atrocious customer service during one of the hardest moments of my life, I give them 3 stars.

No one wants to have to go to an emergency vet, but absolutely choose this one if you do. We received amazing care for our dog in a scary moment, I feel better knowing we can come back here if we ever need to.

My puppy of 15 years had to be euthanized. I thank the staff and doctor here because they were so thoughtful and comforting to my daughter and me. They provided time to visit and spend with our puppy and comforting words. I really appreciate the care. This was a difficult situation that the staff helped to make as best as possible.

We took our dog to them and they diagnosed her with parasites and colitis. Claimed they did xrays to determine diagnosis but apparently they didn't perform any test on dog. We had to take dog to another vet the following day and was diagnosis with something completely different and had to pay additional cost. So basically this clinic just took almost eight hundred dollars and dog was still extremely sick and when called to ask questions refused to discuss over the phone wanted us to bring the dog back for additional testing! Do not bring your animal here to this facility they do not care ! Basically just took alot of money with zero results

The support and reassurance was more than I expected! My dog and I recently located to the area and had no idea of what vet nor ER to take him to the day he was coughing up blood. I was unable to be there with him when they took him in - due to their Covid policy. I tried my best to stay calm for him and understood this facility had a job to do and they were very much so comforting, attentive, and quick! They kept me well informed of the process before I left my dog in their care and during and of all things they recommended. I picked him up at ease to know he was ok. A day or two went by and saw his stool looking a little funny and of course - like any pet owner I rushed straight to Dr. Google to only frighten myself on what he possibly can have. I called the facility letting them know his behavior, stool, and appetite have all changed since the incident and that I was really worried and if I needed to take him back for more testing. Karen (who I believe was the assistant tech that morning with him) reassured me it was more than likely due to the medication they gave him since the reason he coughed up blood was due to the bits and pieces of buffalo horn he swallowed and was unable to digest them. She let me know if things do not change within a day or two to bring him back. - Well there was no need for that. He definitely started to perk back up and become his really derpy self! They called a week later checking in on Koda and that made me feel so good. To see a facility actually care and put quality over quantity. Koda Bear loves you all! We're so thankful for you all!

My husband took our dog that was very lethargic and in pain to the er yesterday as our regular vet was closing and suggest we take him to an er. My husband googled and this is the first one that popped up. He showed up and they came out and got our dog and told my husband to stay there that someone would be out soon to check in with him. After an hour in the parking lot he called to see what was happening and they told him another dog had an emergency and everyone had to work on that dog. WE totally understand that. We called every 30 minutes to check and the doctor finally called us about 740 to let us know that they would like to draw blood and do xray and that someone would call us with an estimate. We waited 20 minutes and called them back for the estimate. We approved. They told us it would take about an hour to get the results back. About 917 the doctor calls us to tell us our dogs blood was perfectly fine. We chose to pick him up and watch him for 12 hours. He told us someone would call us back with an estimate for the pain meds. We waited and were finally called and told we could come get out dog. We were charged almost $600 for this. We get him to our vet this morning and our dog was just constipated. No tests, no xrays, no blood work, just fluids and he is perfectly fine now. It was a waste of $$ and we got absolutely no answers.

My dog got into a fight with another dog. They were quick to address the situation, and give my sweet pup the proper care. He is now back to feeling his best! I would highly recommend taking my pets here!

I would give zero stars if I could. Our dog has a golf-ball sized lump that suddenly appeared over the weekend with major swelling down his leg, and we were not able to get into our regular vet. They recommended Airport Freeway Vet. We called, and they said to bring our dog by after a thorough description of what was going on. My husband loads up our dog to take him, and they tell him when he gets there that since our dog is not bleeding there is nothing to treat??? Are you freaking KIDDING ME? My husband leaves, my poor dog STILL not helped, and they have the nerve to call him back after 20 minutes asking if he was still in the parking lot and that they would take a look at him to try and "triage" him. UNREAL. I don't know how this place got good reviews if they have employee like this. Never again.

Could not be more grateful for their services! Our Yorkie was bitten by a baby rattlesnake and without the help of this hospital he probably would not be with us today! They even called us throughout the night to give us updates until he was in the clear! Highly recommend!

We took our cat in a true life or death emergency. We were told by our primary vet that Airport Freeway Animal Emergency had all the information & would be waiting on us. We arrived at 7pm. After checking in - we waited until about 945p for the doctor to call with an estimate. Our cat could have died during that time. We were spoken to like this doctor had to start from scratch rather than getting a hand off from our primary vet. The doctor said treatment would take 2 days and be about $2800. My mother said she only had $2k. The doctor said we could go as far $2k budget would allow. The doctor also said we could go home. After we had been home for a bit- my mom was told she had to come back and pay. So my elderly handicapped mom had to go all the way back and pay. She was told that the one night and partial treatment would be exactly 2k. So shady! They wanted to charge my mom exactly what she could afford. When my mom questioned why one night & partial treatment was almost the same as the cost for 2 nights & full treatment - she was told to pick up her pet. Our cat received no medical care what so ever. How would you feel if your loved one was on their death bed and was handed back to you in the middle of the night? We were told to take our pet somewhere else!

I took my Miniature Schauzer in at 7pm. They only had curbside service. My dog was having bloody diarrhea and vomiting. They told me there was a long wait (about 3 hours) but all the animals were taken in and had their vitals checked and they would be triaged. We really thought that they were helping our dog. About 10pm I called to check up on him and they said the Vet was just finishing with him and writing his care plan but he would call us in a few minutes. Almost 11pm and he finally called to tell us he was in cardiac arrest and they were performing CPR. The vet diagnosed him with HGE and said that there was nothing he could do. The staff informed me that he was having bloody stools and his pad were changed several times but in the 4 hours that they had him, they did not give him any fluids or antibiotics or any medical care until at all until he went into cardiac arrest. Because of the plain lack of care, we have lost a member of our family. Please do not take your family member to this place. It is not worth the risk.

Very professional and caring clinic! They really care for their animals. Dr. Johnson took great care of our Koda when she came in for an ear infection. He was kind, respectful and had my sweet girl feeling better very quickly. He even called a few days later to check on her progress! Would recommend to anyone!!
