My daughter's dog ate grapes which are toxic to dogs while he was in my care. She uses Dickinson Animal Hospital so I called them to make sure her dog would be ok. I was asked how many he had consumed and they checked that amount with his weight and found that because of his weight, he was safe. Even one grape can be deadly to a small dog, but because he isn't and weighs just over 100 pounds he was ok. It was nice to be able to call and get good advice.

Today we had to put our baby down and this vet did an amazing job being there for us every step of the way. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are the kindest people with a real passion for caring for animals. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately we had to put a sweet member of our family to sleep. He was very sick with a large tumor we didn't even know about. This was our first visit to this veterinarian office and we couldn't have been more pleased with how the vet and her staff handled our situation. She got us right in and into a room, ran blood test, ultrasound and x-rays until she found the problem. She said there was nothing they could do for him and offered their services of giving him pain medication or have him put to sleep but explained in great detail what to expect. He lived a long 14 years and had a great life and miss him dearly but didn't want him to suffer. This is a great place and the staff walked and stayed with us through the whole ordeal. I told her she would be our vet for life.

Amazing doctors that truly care about their patients. They don't treat pets like a family member and not just an animal. I have been taking my Rosie since I first moved to Houston and they are all wonderful. Dr. Randall has been our Rosie's vet for years now and she is loving and attentive to all needs. Our Rosie is an "old" lady, almost 15 years so she is not only our family and extremely important to us and Dr. Randall goes out of her way to make sure she is in best health. She calls to check on her when Rosie is not at her best, even when she was seen at another ER Vet after hours. Always makes sure that they provide best care for our Rosie. I live in Clear Lake now and still drive to Dickinson because of Dr. Randall and the rest of the staff. Lived in Corpus Christi, in California and by far this is the best Vet Clinic I have come across.

After moving to the area and reading all the great reviews, I will be looking for a new vet for my dogs. Unlike other vet clinics, they require a heartworm test every 6 months despite my dogs being strictly on preventive their entire lives (several years), and they require some vaccines more often than required. This vet clinic is making pet care even more unaffordable than it already is. I strictly take care of my pets, but charging me for an unnecessary heartworm test every 6 months is just absurd and administering vaccines more often than required is ridiculous. This vet clinic was also very rude about giving our pets vaccination records to boarding facilities after we transferred. Once records were transferred, a front desk lady refused to email us OUR dogs' records despite the records being ours that we just transferred. She made things very difficult for us during our move which was already stressful enough. We've had enough, and will be looking for a new vet.

I highly recommend Dr. Scott if you have a guinea pig. She does a very thorough wellness exam and explains what to watch out for. The facility itself is very upscale and modern, and they email you your pet's medical records by the end of the day.

This place to me shows a model of what all veteranain clinics SHOULD be like..a total GOOD shock when I found it..it beats all clinics for miles around..do yourself a favor and go here..there is no better clinic for all animals!

Great customer service all around! I called this morning and the receptionist was very nice. They were able to see us fast. Everyone was very nice and made the visit easy and smooth. Thank you for helping my baby (puppy) cici feel so much better.

Three years ago we gave you 3 stars but as a result of our recent visit on 5-14 and 5-15.21 , we only rate 1 star. This place which we knew for years for being the best in the area, is going down, the quality is not what it used to be and we know that we will never bring one of our pets again here for treatment. And constantly trying to push xrays on you, doesn't matter for what reason the pet came in for, was annoying. Oh yay, try to get a refund to your credit card, they refuse to do that, instead give you an in-house credit even if you tell them you are not coming back. The vet doesn't have the courtesy to call back , the staff has to apologize for them by telling you that they can only give them your message but can't make them call you. Why do they ask you to call them if anything changes with your pet if they are not calling you back. We brought pets here since they opened, liked the vets they had. If the clinics in Alvin wouldn't have been booked for that Friday, we would have never come here again.

This has been my vet clinic for about 14 years. I have seen every vet there and they are all very caring. I trust any of them with my fur babies. My aussie tore her ACL and is scheduled for surgery. This is not her first rodeo, and I am certain she will be given the best of care that we have come to expect.

No problems with the vet, the one that answered the phone this morning was not helpful, with each attempt to ask a question I was cut off. I called back to ask for my dogs records. Never once did she ask if there was something they could do to keep us. She just asked for my email and sent only one set of records. I know have to call a third time to request my other pups records. Sounds like you need a replacement before you lose more customers.

Like most vets, pet Healthcare is pricey, but DAH does a good job of controlling costs. They do a lot of preventative care so trips are less frequent.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND This vet for any kind of animal you are needing care for showed up for an appointment called the front desk as asked to when showing up for that appointment to let them know I was waiting in the parking lot the front desk just answered and hung up on me so I waited for 5 minutes to see if I would be approached while waiting in my vehicle as seeing they don’t follow there own guidelines set. After waiting I decided to Walk inside to let them know I was there for a 2:00 pm appointment and was asked rudely to step outside absolutely no reason they should be late checking in an animal with a time slot provided by them I mean what’s the point of setting an appointment for a certain time then? So after I stepped outside I waited another 15 minutes to see if my animal would be checked in and no tech or vet came out so i left. I don’t not recommend this vet for any kind of care your animal needs as seeing this place can’t even do the basics as to checking in the animal or answering the phone to let them know you are there for that appointment with the set time. This place of business gave the perfect example for poor customer service and in regards to seeing how they treat people I would not trust them for any reason with any of my animals.

We started coming here due to moving thinking this place would be our new Vet. We spent over $2000 doing blood work and labs to have our baby diagnosed with Cushing's. We went every 2 weeks in order to get prescription dosage correct. After all of this, she started declining and not doing well. She was having trouble with getting up on her back legs. SO, we called the vet and asked to prescribe some pain medicine until we could have Laps of Love come to the house. The VET would NOT give any pain meds and told us we would have to come in for assessment. I would not take your babies here they are all about getting more money.

They are super careful about staying clean and keeping the animals safe from covid. Every person we speak to is extra friendly with the best communication skills. We love them for our dogs.

I've been with the Dickinson Animal Hospital for many years now and my Blue Heeler loves everyone here. I recently went on a road trip and had him board with them for the first time and he was left in great hands and super happy when I picked him up! Highly recommend them for the awesome customer service.
