Everyone was professional and kind. It was into the wee hours on a Sunday night. They were very busy. And they still did their best to keep me and my dog as comfortable as possible- as quickly as possible. So happy they are there to provide …

Amanda is amazing. I have severe anxiety and called them late last night because of my dogs stitches bleeding and she did everything she could to make sure she gave us the best advice possible. Truly amazing customer service.

We were treated with kindness and professionalism from the front desk, the vet techs to the doctor. It obviously took a minute as this is an ER but they were all great with my fur baby.

Took good care of my girl. It was a scary ordeal for both of us, but she's doing just fine now and I couldn't be more grateful. I really appreciated being able to reach out at any given time to check in on her, and the staff was always super courteous and professional. Hopefully I won't need to revisit... but if I do, I know my pup will be in the best hands.

Charlie & I are so thankful for your help! The whole staff was so kind & I know you took good care of my boy while he was in your care. It was so difficult for me to be on the other side of things as I am a VT as well, so I really appreciate that you made me feel better as much as you could! Thank you all so much! Charlie is on the mend, doing well!

Care is always accurate and timely. I am grateful to have this service available after hours and for their compassion for both the pets and the pet parents.

Visited the ER for the first time and got the worst news about my cat. I didn’t know what to expect and was nervous going in. After getting heartbreaking news, the compassionate staff assured me and my husband to take as much time as we needed. Saying goodbye was so hard but I felt supported throughout the whole process. I felt empowered to make choices about my cat’s care. The staff’s kindness made this experience much more manageable. I would trust them again in a heartbeat.

We really appreciated how quickly we were seen and how polite everyone was! We didn’t want to wait until after the holiday to get our pet seen and they were very understanding and helpful. Hopefully we never have another emergency for one of our pets, but if we do we will definitely be coming back here.

Dr. Polley and staff were absolutely amazing! During a very difficult time for our family, they put us at ease and treated Iggy as if she were their own. We can’t recommend their ER enough!

Huge THANK YOU to everyone who assisted in Swayzes care on 12/4-12/5. Seemingly quick process for the circumstance. I really thought there was no hope for him. He’s doing great today ❤️❤️❤️

I called before bringing in my pet and the girl said yes please come in. She said they were a little busy but my pet would be seen right away. I got there in 15 minutes and upon arrival was told they were too busy and wouldnt be able to see my pet. And they call themselves an ER!?????

Great people to have help when your pet is in need. They cared for my dog and made sure she had the right treatment for her injuries. Very kind and calm people to talk and work with in a stressful situation.

Denton County Animal ER was quick in the process of diagnosing and communicating to us our pet's condition. It was communicated to us in a manner in which we understood and felt assured our pet was okay. The process was quick and easy to include a very low cost for services. Thanks.

Denton County Animal ER was FANTASTIC! We have never had to utilize an animal ER before, so we were unsure of what to expect. The staff was incredibly kind, efficient, and gave us constant updates on our sweet dog. We were also given a private waiting room which was unexpected but really nice. The facility was impeccably clean.

Very compassionate staff ❤️ As busy as they might be, they don’t make you feel rushed and no matter how big or small the issue is, they make you feel like you matter. I recommend 100%

The entire staff was amazing, they explained everything in a way we could understand, had several different payment options, and were very patient and understanding with us during this emotional time. They took excellent care of my little dog and the next day we saw signs of improvement. I hope I never need to use ER vet services again but if I do I will coming back to Denton County Animal ER.

The staff was very friendly and super nice. They allowed me to basically live in one of their rooms at night while my dog underwent surgery and let him eat his dinner and sleep in my company post surgery. Dr. Nina and the nurses on the night shift are angels. The kindness and compassion shown to me while in their office is extraordinary, they truly felt like my friends and cared for my dog as if he was their own. I would choose this ER over any other, the care and support is top class.

I took my dog, Gracie, to be triaged and treated for an infected wound following a skirmish with my other dog. I knew it would be an expensive visit, and when I got the recommended treatment estimate, I was shocked. NEVER would I have guessed her condition would require an estimate that was (initially) over $2,800. The estimate included several recommended items that weren't medically necessary. I worked with the staff to get the bill down, hoping for an estimate I could afford and that would help my dog. After 2 consecutively lower estimates, I finally requested that they just give her antibiotics and send her home with me so I could get her to her vet the next day. I still paid over $330 for triage treatment. I requested prescriptions for ALL medications so I could take to a pharmacy to fill. On my final bill, there was a $60+ charge for a medication that was in her bag to give at home. I didn't see this item until after I paid the bill. (I was not given a bill to review prior to the transaction -- just a total. I should have asked.) I appreciate that the team treated Gracie's wounds, shaved her, and cleaned her up. And I was expecting and willing to pay a fair price for that. While I was in the clinic, I saw a disturbing business model. The staff repeatedly suggested Care Credit and Snap Credit to cover veterinary costs. I understand this is necessary for a lot of people - pets are expensive and, in an emergency, there must be options. But I saw a business model preys on people in an emotional state. It was an emotional time for me, as well. I could not afford the treatment plans that were offered. The next morning, I took Gracie to her vet during business hours. Gracie was treated (anesthesia, wound debridement, antibiotics, and pain meds) for a total cost of $200. I am thankful that I didn't react in an emotional state and spend over 10X that amount at Denton County Animal ER less than 12 hours earlier. I realize business must make a profit. But a business should make a profit, not a killing. I am sure Doctors got into veterinary medicine to help animals and those who love them. The Doctor I worked with seemed very caring, and I liked her. It is the business owners who make the sales policies. I will never use this facility again. Even in a true emergency. Gracie needed help that night and I made the choice to take her to Denton County Animal ER. I knew it would be more expensive than a vet clinic during normal business hours. But I had no idea how the sales pitch would be presented. But now I do. And it was a sales pitch. I witnessed the staff pushing a customer to apply to 2 credit companies to cover the costs of treatment. The customer told the staff that she wasn't 21 (and the online applications said she had to be 21 or older). The staff told her to "apply anyway" -- they needed to see the denials before they could give her other options. This customer was denied 2X and now she has a compromised credit report, just so she could be presented with other options. We are all responsible for our own decisions. The patrons and the staff. And those who make up Denton County Animal ER’s business model. In the last 18 months we've heard "We're all in this together." Yes, we are. I don't know how much profit this company makes with the current business practices, but I am convinced it is not based on FAIRLY meeting the needs of customers and their sick or injured pets. My overall impression is that Denton County Animal ER’s business practices prey on people in very vulnerable, emotional states. The doctors and technicians may be caring, but the business model is not. I got out of there with necessary (triage) care, making the best decision for my pet and myself. Other patrons aren't as lucky. Only in a TRUE life and death situation should anyone consider Denton County Animal ER as an option. Unfortunately, those of us who love our pets don’t always know how to differentiate a crisis that can wait and a true emergency. I was one of them.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ..... When a doctor or corporate pet hospital puts money and greed above taking care of your pet . All the care about is money...... Hopefully they will go out of business soon ......

Extremely loving and caring staff. I think my favorite part was that you could send me pictures of my baby while he was admitted. I do feel like the first time he was admitted, there should have been more thorough testing done so he wouldn't have had to have been admitted a second time, however. The text pictures well he had to stay there
