I took my dog Kazi here who suffers from dry eye due to eye trauma. She was rescued. This place was our last resort and they been able to get her on a treatment plan that makes her eye much better than before. Option of surgery but luckily seems like it won't be needed. Support staff was great with great greetings. Vet was professional and great at laying out the options. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go if your pet needs amazing eye care. Loved the doctor who took time to explain and you can tell she loves what she does. Definitely recommend.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR HELP WITH CHERRY EYE!! I made and appointment here to get my dogs eye examined. Though I don’t know what exactly they did. I specifically asked for information only on the cherry eye surgery he needed, and of course, they brung back a paper trying to pitch entropion surgery on both eyes along with it instead of just what I asked.They actually spent more time writing up a surgery bill than they did examining my pet!. Lastly, when asked if I had any more areas of concern I asked if they could check my dog ears as he had previously had a slight ear infection I wanted to be sure wasn’t returning. The lady immediately threw her hand up and said no we dont do that! I was shocked! I understand this place specializes in eyes but for an $180 “exam” they could’ve put my pet first and at least taken 2 seconds and checked. Found another place $600 cheaper than their quote (especially with the high chance he might need surgery a second time) This place might be great for other pet eye problems but I recommend looking elsewhere for cherry eye help. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

personally i appreciate intelligent care with a hint of respect…This is NOT the place for that. renamed “DIVA ANIMAL STUFF”, i received ignant kare from assistant, followed by major attitude, and a horrible joke from “Dr” Enders. Run…to probably any other eye care facility for better care.

This Clinic is quite honestly wonderful. I travel with my senior dog who needed an appointment. The office staff got me in right away. Dr Enders explained his condition very thoroughly, provided me with treatment options and a follow up to check on our progress. He even offered me recommendations for eye clinics and when we move on to our next city in our travels. Every single person we dealt with at this office was so kind and professional. And if it matters to you, prices for treatment here are VERY reasonable. I would 100% recommend and return anytime!

My first experience at VEI was when my senior dog, Sadie, had a lens luxation. Basically the lens in her left eye fell out of place, and this can cause painful and serious issues. Having heard good things about VEI I was referred by my primary vet and got an appointment very quickly (eye issues can be time sensitive, and they are great at getting your pet help quick!). The clinic itself is calm and beautiful, and I don't think initially my dog even realized she was at a clinic. Every single staff member is exceptionally kind and helpful to both me and Sadie, and they are also very quick and efficient. Dr. Enders is Sadies ophthalmologist, and after doing an exam explained fully what was happening, why, why it was a concern, and what different treatment options I had. They had less and more expensive routes and he was honest about the pros and cons of each, and long term what would be best for Sadie. I didn't have many questions because of how well he explained, but he patiently answered each one I did have. We decided to go with surgical removal so that as a senior it wasn't an issue again down the road when she was even older. The costs are not inexpensive as this is a speciality hospital, but they are exactly what I expected and worth the expertise and care. They were very clear about costs and what was covered as a complimentary follow up and what was not. I want the best for my pets, and when it comes to eyes this is it. You get what you pay for! The surgery was scheduled just a short while later and went well. They explained what to expect post operatively, one concern they had about a pressure as she was waking up (and because of that had me bring her the following day to recheck, which was great peace of mind to me!), and the eye drop schedule. We have had multiple rechecks with lessening frequency that have all been just as good, and most recently I got to utilize the emergency line after hours when Sadies eye, in a matter of hours, went from clear to completely white. I left a message and got a call back from the on-call vet within an hour, and he instantly knew exactly what was happening (confirmed with a picture sent to him) and what I should do. As soon as the clinic opened the next morning they were calling as well to check in, and made sure to get us in for a check before the weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend VEI to anyone wanting expert care for their pets, and am so glad to have such an amazing veterinary option if my pets need it!

The staff are always happy to answer my questions and take care of any refills in an expedient manner. My fur baby is super excited for every visit.

Our dog had an infected cornea which was causing his eye to rapidly deteriorate. Dr. Enders and his team skipped lunch to perform emergency surgery, and saved his eye. The aftercare was made very easy, and Dr. Enders was great at communicating what we needed to do, and at following up regularly. We're so grateful to the entire team!

Every nice place, and so helpful and caring. They were so good with our German Shepherd.

Rocko and I felt very “seen” at VEI. I wrote a new client referral late at night, desperate to help my new rescue pup, and upon walking in, Dr. Enders shared how privileged and excited he was to help Rocko. Heart won! ???? After conducting the exam, Dr. Enders continued to explain to me the good news and bad news with care but honesty. He answered all of my subsequent questions thoroughly and we landed on a yearly visit being the best solution moving forward. No trying to sell me on medications or treatments that Rocko didn’t need. Simply, this is what is best for him given where he is right now. So respectful. A perk to this facility is that no vet referral is needed to schedule an appointment. Additionally, the quality of the staff is phenomenal! Super professional, kind, and well dressed! I called on a Thursday and their next availability was that Tuesday. Yay! They also told me upfront the cost of the visit which was a relief and saved me wondering all weekend. They called me to remind me of my appointment. They called me at 1:31 PM when I hadn’t arrived (I was around the corner!). And as part of their service, they also call you the following day to see if you have any additional questions. Very helpful for dog parents who debrief over dinner but raise new questions in talking to one another. The tech who helped us was so sweet. She loved Rocko and was just so gentle as we worked together for her to give him the tests. She also walked me through what the results meant and what tests tend to be more common for what type of dog. She even humored me by looking at his before/after photos and even guessing his breed. I really appreciated her helping us before and after Dr. Enders attended us. Moving forward, this is the only place I’ll be taking my boys. I trust them to do what’s best for them. Thank you so much for meeting and exceeding the bar at every turn.

We’ve been visiting this VEI location for about a year. They take wonderful care of my little old pittie, Kazi, and their commitment to follow up and emails with post visit notes / instructions exceeds the norm standards and it’s truly appreciated !!! Highly recommend this location to anyone reading this!! Your furbaby will thank you later ????

Dr. Enders and the team at VEI were amazing! So thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. Also, all the office staff were calling Hero by his name without me having to tell them. It’s a very small thing, but makes for such a personal experience. I’ll recommend VEI for life.

After visiting the ER at night and the Vet in the morning, I could not be more grateful that I ultimately landed at the Veterinary Eye Institute Dallas in the afternoon. In quarantine we've been praising our Healthcare Heroes, and Dr. Enders is the medical worker who I want to give 5-stars and applaud. He squeezed in seeing my pup, was efficient in performing a few tests, and very kind and thorough in explaining everything to me. He also sent "discharge instructions" to recap the conversation. During our conversation, I was in tears, and he said his least favorite part about working in the current COVID circumstances is not being able to offer tissues. We are so lucky to have such a knowledgeable and kind expert here in Dallas!

In just a few minutes, they figured out what was wrong with my dog and gave her the right medication to help her sight get better. They have always been very gentle with her and very caring about her health and wellbeing. They are always on time, and never miss to remind us about upcoming appointment. We have to drive 5hours to get there, but it is worth it every time!

The ONLY place to go for your pets eye problems! Dr. Enders is the best at what he does and takes the time to really explain everything so that you feel comfortable with what’s happening to your fur baby. My puppy Crash can’t wait to see Jaclyn and she’s so happy to see him too! They really treat you like family and take care of the humans as well as the fur babies!
