Regular vet out for the holidays and a wonderful man that had been a US Army vet took off a bloody cyst on our 12 year old dog. After the procedure I was informed to come back in 10 days but we were scheduled to be out of town so he showed me scissors to buy and how to remove sutures myself. All is good, no scars just a happy dog!

They were great with my puppy when he was injured. They were kind, friendly, and did a wonderful job of patching him up.

I have gone to three different vets since my dog was born and i came back to Valwood Pet Hospital because they truly do care about the animals. Since Baloo has developed behavior issues, Vet Savers failed him TWICE left me in tears both times because of how stressful it was. Its such a blessing to know i have Valwood Vet for my fur baby. I love how kind and understanding the staff is, you guys are doing an amazing job!!! i haven’t seen baloos tail wag with a vet tech in a year and i saw his tail wag today!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff at Valwood Animal Hospital. I came to them desperate when I got a new puppy and discovered he had worms. I called SO many vets and no one could See me unless I made an appt for two weeks out ! I was able to be seen same day here. They saw me on time and had me in and out in no time. The staff is so warm and welcoming every time I come with my puppy. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I definitely trust them to care for my fur baby !

Wasn't really okay with them putting my ten-pound little dog on a choker leash.

I've been coming to Valwood Animal hospital for as long as I can remember. When they changed Vets I was very skeptical about going in and seeing someone I wasn't used too. My pets are very important to me so much so they're considered my family. The people who are working there now I can honestly say I trust them with all of my animals care. They're friendly and welcoming. The vets seem to be very knowledgeable in the field, which is reassuring to us clients. Thank you Valwood Animal Hospital for being wonderful! I really appreciate the feeling of being welcome whenever I call or walk in the door and being able to ask any questions I have about my pets health.

We trust the team at Valwood to take good care of Armie. The waived fee for his first annual exam was so appreciated. I always have a pleasant conversation with everyone and I am so grateful I can call in to ask all my questions as a first time dog owner. Being able to trust my pet is well taken care of and we are not being 'scammed' by over inflated pricing are really important to me.

Five star service and very reasonable prices. All staff is kind, knowledgeable and very professional. Got dental cleaning / extractions for our 9 yo French Bulldog who had awful teeth. She was well taken care off and staff gave us follow up calls and everyone was very considerate. Explained everything in detail and helped us ease our anxieties about anesthesia/ treatment. Would definitely recommend. Also, they didn't ask me to leave a review on Google. So I did this bc I think they deserve a shout out. Thanks y'all.

We have used Valwood Animal for all our pets for 20 years. The staff and doctors used to be great. Unfortunately, this has greatly changed. My husband was made to wait 2 hours for an answer he could have received on the phone, "that our dog was not due for heartworm pills yet". The attention was awful, the communication poor. This "it will take a minute" business is not so. Rather tell me "it's going to take 30 minutes" than lie to me. Never again! $153 for the aggravation. We will be looking for another veterinarian clinic!

Today, we had to have our sweet boy euthanized. Dr. Arroyo and ALL staff were nothing short of PHENOMENAL in the care they provided to assure our dog a peaceful and painless transition. We cannot thank them enough. We are new to the area and will be bringing our animals here for future care.

This is the most caring team I have encountered. My sweet furbaby had to go to heaven and the staff was so empathetic and helped me through one of the hardest moments. Thank you for your amazing hearts.

Dr. Sherri Egdar is awesome. Dr. Egdar explains everything in detail and listens to our concerns. She cares about my dogs, she notices things on them that I haven't, which tells me she is very detailed oriented when she examines them. Dr. Egdar is caring, patient and overall amazing.

I'm extremely satisfied with our visit today. The staff was wonderful, great communication and very accommodating. I'll definitely be going back.

I came in today because my dog hasn’t been doing too well & long story short, it was concluded that it was best for her to be euthanized. It’s an incredibly difficult experience but the staff was extremely empathetic, professional, & they were outstanding. As the doctor was performing the euthanizing process, i was surprised because she herself seemed to be holding back tears..Wow. She had no prior relationship with my dog & this was in fact the first time I’ve ever been to this place and seeing her like that was a clear sign of how much she loves and cares for animals. If you’re looking for a vet that truly loves & is compassionate towards pets/animals, then this is the place. I highly recommend this place & will be personally referring anyone who’s looking for an animal hospital to go here. To the doctor & to the entire staff, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this incredibly difficult process go as smoothly as possible. Thank y’all for everything!

Knew my dog when we walked in. Gave all thelr attention to him.

Our cat was bitten and had a large wound on her neck. Normally I would slap on Neosporin and that's it. But my son talked me into taking kitty to Valwood Animal Hospital and I'm very happy with the results. Despite the short notice, they were able to see my cat within a day. They have fantastic safety procedures in place for Covid, including coming out to the car to drop off paperwork and pick-up the cat. She had a high fever and needed an antibiotic shot and pain medicine as well as shaving her from neck to shoulder so the wound could be thoroughly sanitized. The exam and treatment were very speedy. Sarah called me within an hour to thoroughly explain kitty's diagnosis and treatment, waiting to administer the shot till I okayed the expense. I'm broke, so I was really worried about the cost. But their rate was very fair. They weren't price gouging me, they made sure I knew all my options, and it felt like they were on my team as we fought off this infection together. I intend to return to Valwood Animal Hospital because their prices are so reasonable. But it's their gentle, compassionate pet care that will make it such a positive experience.

Vets and staff are great. We had a special case with one of our dogs and they were absolutely wonderful to him till the end. I couldn't reccomend them enough. They really care about you and your animals.

This clinic has shown not to be forthcoming until you are in the exam room and seemingly lies about what is actually needed. My dog was seem by them last year and I was told she was in desperate need of a teeth cleaning. I just got my vaccines and Heartworm medication as I wanted and left. This year, I was told her teeth looked great (she did not have a cleaning) and I could not get her Heartworm medication until they did a test. Although it is recommended that a Heartworm test is done every year, the practice is not mandatory and I would not have brought her there if I knew that Tracey had changed her policy without notice. Because it would have been more hassle to schedule another vet for the medication, I went ahead and let her do her $39 test. She was having a hard time getting blood and the technician was not holding her to where the best vein was easy to get to. When I offered to hold her so she could get it, she came back as if I had insulted her professional ability. When I hold by 3 year old at her pediatricians to help, he does not come back insulted that I am wanting to help. She told me that I needed to pay for the unfinished exam and leave because we could not work together. This "animal hospital" is, in my opinion, a disgrace to have in the fine city of Farmers Branch. I will not visit a business that I feel is lying to their customers and I cannot recommend this place to anyone who cares about their animals.

The Vet and staff there are such nice genuine people. I have brought 2 of my kitties there and they are so caring and love animals.

The staff and the veterinarian were absolutely amazing! I was nervous to take my cat because she gets grumpy extremely quickly in a new place around new people, but after a little while she was so comfortable she was on the chair and lounging around.
