It has been 15 years since I have been here. I moved it was certainly not Dr. Block. He was a caring, knowledgeable veteranarian. He gave me a great recommendation to a vet in Houston, who was also great. Something random reminded me of him today, and though I would give a big thumbs up. You are in good hands.

Dr. Block is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. He's one of the only vets in the area who will treat rabbits. Thank you, Dr. Block.

If you want a caring vet, I recommend Cottonwood. Dr. Block treated my senior pet for a variety of things associated with age and breed for a few years with a relatively decent quality of life during that time. Unlike a few other vets in the area that I tried since moving away from previous vet, he never gave up or told me to let my older pet go. Others did. Even though my dog lasted well after that advice I know Dr. Block would have done the same if/when he thought no other options were available but he always suggested treatments to try and I felt he was honest and was comforting. If you are looking for an office that is the Taj Mahal, Cottonwood is not that. But if you are looking for a vet that cares about your pet and doesn't give up, I recommend Cottonwood and Dr. Block.

Most reviewers of vet clinics say they love their vet, the vet is caring and responsive, the vet takes good care of their pet, vet and/or staff are friendly. All good. True of Dr. Block and 3 other vets I had taken my cat to. He was the 4th and only one who connected multiple daily throw-ups to infected teeth. He scheduled dental surgery for the next day, (without sending her for expensive tests to rule out diseases which they didn't think she had anyway.) He gave an anti biotic and a steroid.. He said the steroid might need to be renewed every three to six months. Was it intuition? Skill? Feline mind reading? All three? Whatever, he stopped her throwing up. With the least expensive treatment. If I had found him sooner, she and my carpets would have escaped a year of misery. (PS, The woman at the front desk is a very busy, very caring Person Friday. She may sound abrupt, but she's very kind. I sort of see how new people might interpret her manner as rude. She has a big ❤️ for their patients.).

Thanks to Dr. Block and the rest of the staff at this clinic, my wonderful dog was able to live a wonderful twelve years even with health issues. They were able to help me every step of the way and anytime an issue or concern rose up they were there to help and ease any stressful situation. I came with my sister... I must say the vet care was great...very caring and sympathetic..as her fur baby was very sick and this was her 1st time there. However the front staff person that waited on us was EXTREMELY Rude ! She was impatient and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ! Even the other girl up front was looking at her !! ???????? We will be going elsewhere for a follow-up appt. and any further treatment because of her. Love the Doctor.. Dislike that woman ! The 1 Star given was for the Dr only !!!!!

The vet came into the office and I have dropped off a lost dog that I had picked up down the street. He was very compassionate and cooperative and I was very impressed

If I could give 0 stars I would. EXTREMELY rude staff on the phone. I wouldn't take my animals to be treated the same way I was treated just over the phone for an inquiry. I think they need to teach customer service skills and phone etiquette to the receptionists.

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Block for 3 years and highly recommend Cottonwood. We live 30 minutes away but it's well worth the drive across town.

This doctor sits between a daycare and some empty building behind a Mexican meat market and not the best part of town. Now this still doesn't deter me from going to this vet but as soon as I stepped inside I was greeted by the actual veterinarian himself. This appointment was scheduled literally 20 minutes before I got there it was basically a walk in There seems like there was no staff in the building whatsoever no receptionist. Or vet techs. I didn't hear any animals either or see any animals. Also there were no other clients during my entire visit. My dog had an infection in her eye and she was also not eating. After spending money for the initial check up he recommended A $350 blood test. I said that she had had all of her shots and her blood levels were fine because they were just tested. So he goes to tell me that I should have her nails clipped which cost $25. And he gave me some basic amoxicillin. He did not do anything about the eye infection when it clearly needed treatment with some eye drop solution. Never used this vet again he cut my dogs toenails so short that she bled was careless and barely talked about what needed to be done. This is the most unprofessional veterinarian that I have ever been too. If you want to spend a bunch of money on treatment go somewhere else because this vet is a con artist

Amazing experience here. He is easily the best vet we have ever been to and even after moving an hour away, we still take the time to come see him.

This is a good man that really cares about the animals he treats. We have been here a few times and are very happy with them we have also recommended him to our friends and they also think he is great.

Dr Block he's my angel. He always there when I have any emergency with my 8 rescue dogs.
