Words are powerless to express my gratitude towards the oncology department. Every single individual working at this location has been nothing less than wonderful - Jamie Curtis, Nathaniel Vos, the vet techs, etc. should be recognized. You can imagine the distress and fear as a mom of a fur baby with cancer/multiple tumors; however, my nerves were calmed every time I spoke with one of the employees. This was not due to them sugar coating or trying to make the situation seem less severe.. it was solely because I know my dog was taken care of, loved, and treated as aggressively as possible. 10/10 recommend sending your pets to this oncology department.

This place is amazing. I am a primary DVM and refer here often. I have received positive feedback from my clients on their bedside manner and quality medicine. I have a patient there right now in critical care that I referred yesterday. Dr. Porterpan has been great at keeping me up to date and taking amazing care of one of my favorite patients. I appreciate everything they do and will continue making them my primary go-to for specialty care.

I refer patients here all the time because of of the experience I had here with my personal dog. My Misha had extremely aggressive GI cancer in fall/winter of 2016. He presented with bloody diarrhea at a Dallas ER at the end of November 2016, they did an ultrasound, they saw a mass or potentially enlarged spleen. ADC confirmed there were several masses with their ultrasound and I had them removed at ADC as well. He was so young (around 4 years), I just wanted more time. Unfortunately, the cancer was absolutely everywhere and while he did amazing post op for a couple weeks, his belly filled with fluid. He ended up back at ADC for monitoring with the intent of him coming back home until it was his time. His doctor called me bawling in the wee hours of the morning of December 23rd, 2016, letting me know that he was gone. I will never forget that because it showed how much she cared and I will never forget the way their staff took care of him AND me. The night before I lost him, I came to visit and the techs sent me home with a chocolate cupcake. They let me spend a good 2-3 hours saying goodbye to him. I think about those doctors and Misha’s techs all the time. They took such good care of my baby boy, I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. You guys are everything vet med should always be.

We had an appointment with Dr Wright and we’re not able to be seen because we were 1 hr late to our appointment. Our appointment was at 3 we arrived at 4 due to heavy traffic and direction problems. I am a Pomeranian lover and I had 3 poms. I lost 1 in December due cardiac failure. Our second Pom was at home with a friend watching him because she has Cushing and also in cardiac failure. We had a close call this past weekend. Our vet told us it was “Time”. Meaning another problem and we would have to put him down. We came from Wichita Falls. Our third Pom Mika that was to be seen today. She has been a patient since 2015. Mika was diagnosed with lymphoma in July 2015. Dr Wright told us that Mika would not live move than 1 1/2 even with treatment. My husband and I decided to proceed with 6 months of chemotherapy. Dr Wright said he had never had a dog survive past this time frame. My husband being the positive thinker he is told Dr Wright this will be the first dog that you will cure. We did 6 months of chemotherapy and then an additional 3 months when Mika fell out of remission 6 months later. Dr Wright was wonderful and caring and the staff were very caring and courteous. Understanding at times we were running late because we were stuck in traffic again. I had nothing negative to say about the care my dog received back then. Mika was feeling great until recently 3 weeks ago she started with a 105 fever, diarrhea and the signs and symptoms she was displaying like in 2015. We were afraid the cancer might be back. We did all the testing in Wichita Falls we could. I needed to rule it out. Is the lymphoma back? Only Dr Wright would know for sure. Did we miss something here?. Our vet encouraged us to see Dr Wright again. I am an RN. My husband is an MD and I am a manager. Never did I think I would have a receptionist talk to me the way she did to me today. I know it was our fault for being late but she is rude her tone of her voice her sarcastic remarks, attitude. There is just something about her mannerisms as a front desk person that is not right for her to represent the office. I’ve lost 1 Pom and another one possible anytime and my precious Mika means so much to me and she couldn’t be seen today. I accept my responsibility but I don’t accept rudeness.

Been taking my dog here for two or so years off and on for his lymphoma. They seem to really care about the animals and they’re very friendly. The doctors call and discuss everything going on after every visit and explains anything you need. The only thing that bothers me and why I didn’t give 5 stars is being charged hospitalization fees when part of the time they’re considering as being with them, he’s actually with me in my car (usually 20+ minutes every drop off) waiting for someone to come out and get him. Since he’s “checked in” they consider it as him being in their possession which doesn’t seem right. Wondering which is more important, animals or making money.

Stay away from this clinic; poor customer service; poor follow up on patient care!

The best veterinarians and staff! Our pup was diagnosed with lymphoma and they took the time (lots of time) to explain to us what exactly was happening with our pup and the different options we had for medical care for her. I felt very informed making decisions about which treatments I wanted to do for my pup. They would call to check on her as well which was extremely thoughtful. Dr. Dawson is AMAZING. I would hug her if I could! She was so caring and attentive to my sweet furbaby and always provided detailed updates. If I ever have a furbaby again that needs this kind of care, this is where I would go.

I am a veterinarian and took my dog here for treatment of lung cancer. The care that Lilly received was outstanding. When I brought her here, she was coughing non stop and was very uncomfortable. She is now very happy and hardly ever coughs. You gave me my dog back and I am forever grateful for everything you guys do. Thanks again and I will refer my patients to you for many years to come.

A couple of points to note regarding the Animal Diagnostic Clinic on 4444 Trinity Mills: 1. Their phone lines shut off at 5 PM sharp. After that there is no way to reach anybody to get updates, even if you have a very sick pet admitted at the hospital or at their ICU. Even during regular hours I found them to be very poor at providing updates compared to other hospitals that I’ve taken my dog to. I called several times regarding my critically ill dog ( as determined by other vets that I took him to immediately prior to this), and got no updates regarding what treatment was being administered. I later found out that they after my drop off at 7:30 AM, he did not even have his vitals checked (just visual inspection by technicians), and was left waiting for the doctor to check him at around 1 PM. They didn’t tell me that they were just trying to slot me in, and that no prior preparations were made to ensure that the endoscopy will be done that day. If they had told me, I could have taken him elsewhere and I could have avoided extreme and needless discomfort for my dog for over 48 hours. 2. My dog was admitted to ICU the afternoon of the drop-off, at around 1PM as instructed by Dr. Rifkin. However, she failed to instruct the ICU to recheck his PCV during his stay overnight. I even reminded her about it, but she chose to ignore my request. As a result they did not find until the next morning that he had bled significantly (His Packed Cell Volume - PCV had dropped from 28% when I dropped him off to 20% the next morning). For a dog who was admitted specifically for GI bleeding with a recent history of needing 2 blood transfusions (and already abnormal PCV value of 28%), not being proactive on this is quite unacceptable. 3. The following morning, Dr. Rifkin transferred by dog to Dr. Portepan. Dr. Portepan immediately jumped into action to take care of my dogs needs. I found her to be extremely diligent and a very caring doctor. She completed the endoscopy after giving him a blood transfusion. She was very empathetic. The endoscopy showed severe bleeding, and it was already too late for my dog - he had to be euthanized. 4. Some positives: I found that there were some very good technicians. They took great care to ensure my dog was taken out of the kennel periodically for bathroom breaks. They do this better than other clinics. They also maintain very detailed ICU notes. I've also provided this feedback to the clinic directly.

After I rearranged my day to make sure my sheltie was seen by a specialist recommended for immediate care by my general vet, I encountered some of the most unprofessional veterinarian care imaginable by Dr. Brandy Porterpan. Not only did she not read the referral from my vet (thus assumed my dog was present on an emergency basis for a GI issue even though the dog ate wet food at 7:30 and hadn't vomited!?!), she failed to review previous blood work and current blood work to comprehensively diagnose my pet. She completed an ultrasound on my dog who had food in her gut for 6 hours at a $244 fee. If a dog has food in the gut, thus causing an ultrasound to be inconclusive, why do one? Why do one and charge the patient for it? Especially when the referral is not for a GI issue? Dr. Porterpan essentially told me that my dog was not sick enough for her time and that my veterinarian was wrong to refer to ADC for acute care of a chronic condition even though my sheltie was in acute distress. If I insisted on care at ADC, she would hospitalize my dog with fluids but that my dog would survive until Monday for an internist (NOT DR. PORTERPAN) to "Dig deeper" into my dog's problem (and that person might even read the referral from the general vet) - she didn't have the time! But she charged me $550 for a brief consult and 21 minute diatribe about what she didn't know about my dog's condition and what she wasn't going to treat (the elusive GI issue that Dr. Porterpan created). My sheltie was there for Kidney issues. Don't waste your time or money on this vet. See MedVet or someone else that will take the time to research previous blood results, diagnose the problem and treat it properly in order to give your pet some comfort in a timely manner. Terrible experience and an absolutely idiot veterinarian. Shame on you, Dr. Portepan. SHAME ON YOU. Yes, I will find another veterinarian who will take the time and treat my dog competently or advise me to euthanize her. I know there are specialists out there that actually care how they treat others because obviously you don't care. AND please stop chastising your referring general vets for not knowing "better"; may they all learn not to refer to you, Dr. Perfect Porterpan.

This place has excellent doctors, technicians, and staff. I highly recommend this clinic if you discover your pet has cancer. It was comforting knowing that I had a team truly looking out for the best interest of my dog, Ike.

We were referred here after having extensive tests which indicated our dog has lymphoma. I feel like our first visit was one of professionalism and concern. When I called to set up a follow-up appointment, the receptionist in the oncology department was extremely rude and heartless. She suggested an appointment in the middle of March, knowing my dog was not expected to reach that month. When I mentioned that to her, she was condescending in her response. I told her that I would go ahead and visit our dog's regular vet for the answers to my questions...her response "he's not an oncologist, so he won't know." Really, I am almost sure he would be able to tell us if they think he is in pain! Which is all I wanted them to do.

Fully equipped diagnostics facility with caring staff. Update 2/2021: 2.5 years later our little Chihuahua with the bad mitral valve is still with us due to your excellent diagnostic and medication regimen.

Our Phoebe is being treated here to make her last (hopefully) months more comfortable. Between this group and our vets at home, we have a lot of support in a very stressful time.

The person I spoke to in the scheduling department came off as extremely passive aggressive. I had a scheduling conflict, and was treated as if I were a child. This type of attitude has no place in a professional service setting. I cannot speak for the doctors expertise, however, I will not be coming here after being disrespected.

The oncology department did surgery on my little dachshund and then when she had a post operative issue, caused by the surgery they did ...they wouldn’t see her. They said I could take her to my own vet or pay more money, $315 for an emergency visit. I have already paid $5000 probably. They were cold and didn’t care about my dog suffering and of course it was day before thanksgiving so. Also the dr didn’t look under her tongue which was one of the places the surgeon removed done spot.. then my dog gets a huge ping pong size swelling under her tongue and they weren’t concerned. The head doctor a male...was condescending and rude. I will be turning them into the state board or where ever I need to. I have talked to other vets and said there’s no excuse for this behavior. They take your money and then your ion your own. Just sad. Sad sad. And my dog has suffered for this. She can’t even hardly eat. Now she will need another surgery to fix what they have caused. I wasn’t even aware their was anything under her tongue. That wasn’t why she was there for surgery so dr removed it on her own.

We were referred here when our cat started having some rare medical issues and have been very impressed with the staff. Dr. Stiller in the internal medicine department has been incredibly thorough, explaining every step to us in great detail. She follows up exactly when she says she will and is so kind. Thank you Dr. Stiller for all of your help!

Had to have Ellie our loyal pet of 14 years put down today. Dr. Erin Roof was so kind and caring and carried Ellie in her arms after getting her prepared into the room where we were and laid her down on a bed and knelt down with us and spent several minutes caressing her. With tears in her eyes, she spoke of how sweet a dog she was. Highly recommend her.

While we did not receive the news that we wanted, it was still comforting knowing that I tried everything that I could, including bring my boy here. Dr. Aslanyian spent nearly 35 minutes on the phone with me thoroughly explaining his condition in its entirety, as well as what options were available for him. She connected on a human level, and not just a “on to the next one” type of process. We drove 6 hours to this location and back, and not a minute was referred in doing so. The reason I did not rate 5* was because there was some failed communication on the business part as far as receiving receipts as well as follow up emails.

My little dachshund was very sick back in mid March. I took her to a local vet in Paris, who did xrays and suspected cancer in her lungs. He referred me to Dr Dawson, who has been amazing. In spite of not being able to sit in a room with Dr Dawson, I still felt very comforted by her compassion and competence. Thankfully, it was just a nasty case of infection in my little one's lungs and not cancer. Dr Dawson treated my Mollie's infection and she is now doing so much better. We have one last set of xrays scheduled for Thursday to make sure that all is still clear 2 weeks after we finished the last of the antibiotics, and I feel certain that no matter what the xrays look like, my Mollie is going to be ok because she has an excellent team of doctors. Thank you to everyone who took such great care of my furbaby and helped me get her healthy again!

Our vet referred us to Animal Diagnostic Clinic for our 6 month old Boston Terrier who has a luxating patella and is needing surgery. When we contacted the office we had some general questions as to what to expect. The receptionist who answered the phone acted as if we had interrupted her and was very rude. We tried to ask what was involved and all she would reply is we have to schedule an appointment that would be $198.00 and after that we could have answers our questions. There was no information she was going to give unless we 1st came in and paid them. We told her she was not helpful at all and she hung up on us. So we proceeded to contact about 8 other animal hospitals in the area which ALL explained the general questions we had and ALL other 8 animal hospitals could give us a round about estimate. We found an animal hospital that we have had services done there with other pets and they were excited and honored we would return with our puppy and by the way the $198.00 charge you want is only $48.00 and they are much more friendly. Please check around before placing your beloved pets with this site. There are a lot more places that are ready to help!

Very expensive if the pet doesn’t have insurance ( I don’t know even they accept it); however the vet communication with the pet owner is absolutely perfect.
