True Companion Veterinary Care Cypress, Texas

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, I telephoned this clinic and asked for emergency treatment for my Yorkie. After being place on hold for a considerable time, a person named Heaven informed me that they would not treat our doggies any longer. Our doggies have been treated by this clinic for five years. The reason the clinic gave was that my wife and I expressed displeasure with their service three months ago when we brought our other Yorkie in due to an allergic reaction to a vaccine given by this same clinic earlier in the same day. We paid over $500 for this service, or lack of service. I will file a complaint with the appropriate State Agency about their behavior that has put our animal at risk since we had to find another emergency Animal clinic. This clinic’s management and custodians just don’t care. Don’t waste your time, money, or your pet’s life with these people.

Best doctor in town. Dr. GROEMMINGER saved my dogs life. She performed an emergency uterus surgery on my dog. The whole staff was friendly and informative, they took great care of her. Extremely knowledgeable, experienced and compassionate professional. The ABSOLUTE BEST I highly recommend

Very expensive vets. staff are trained to nickel and dime very expensive treatments. example, giving my dog a teeth clean and administering a general an anesthesia and he’s two years old!!

Doctor G. is the best! She was able to quickly diagnose our little kitty when our old vet completely missed the issue! She is doing so well now.....all thanks to True Companion!

I have nothing but good things to say about this practice, I cannot thank them enough for saving my fur baby! He was going downhill so quick and true companion was fast and effective to find the problem! My baby is back to normal, he received so much attention and care from the staff, he was well taken care of and I can’t thank them enough, 10/10 recommend this hospital! ♥️

I took my fur baby, 3 1/2 y/o German Shepherd, to True Companion Veterinary Care for a play injury she received on her side, a teared laceration about the size of a half dollar. Her recently fired veterinarian from VCare was and is never available for emergencies. My baby was seen by Dr. Lori Seelhoff. She and I had a face-to-face visit where she was very professional, thorough, and friendly. The emergency service provided to my fur baby was beyond what I expected. Rest assure, if you are looking for a veterinarian, True Companion Veterinary Clinic is the place to go. Thank you to Dr. Seelhoff and her staff.

True Companion Veterinary Care always provides my pets with the best care!! They absolutely show their love for my fur babies and care as if it were their own, they always make me feel welcomed and staff is really friendly, I absolutely love all the doctors there!!

We had our cat spayed here, by Dr. Trujillo, recently and we loved how easy they made the prosses. As first time pet owners we were nervous but they talked us through the whole prosses and kept us informed on how she was doing. We love this clinic.

Everyone was very attentive, we were looking for a place where my dog ​​would be treated quickly, I found this place where the priority is pets, since in other places the wait was 6 to 7 hours, the doctor was forceful with the treatment, EMILY's attention It was incredible, she gave us her advice and her patience was incredible, we feel lucky to find this place, I highly recommend it and I will continue to go with my little dogs.????????????????????????????

They let my cat come home with a parasite in his neck. They wanted xrays to see there was a knot that had a worm in it. It was clearly visible, what they really wanted was the money! So we brought him home and tried to remove the worm. We could not get it out so we was able to kill it. We waited days sure enough it began to make a knot a pus poured out and the worm. It made a terrible hole in his neck. NEVER USE THIS VET EVER! They just would not do anything regarding the parasite unless we paid a ridiculous amount on money. While my poor little cat suffered. I have taken pics it is bad. I plan to blow them up and picket the clinic. I am in a wheelchair so as soon as I am able. This practice is inexcusable!

I brought my kitten in and it was a horrible experience. They made me pay before the visit . The medicine they charge double, they don’t help with calling It in to a rx for a lower rate. Also my other experience was my cat was diagnosed wrong and I called to confront them on it and basically it was my word against theirs and they dismissed helping the kitten the right way , they forward the record and said go somewhere else, STAY AWAY !!!!! BEWARE

Overall bad service, way too high priced, didn’t treat my animal properly. I had to diagnose the problem and treat it myself at home because they had no idea what they were doing.

This vet practice saved my cat she came in with a sort of bloodbacteria from fleas with severe anemia and dehydration and we had to do everything , labs x-rays put her under to check over (aggressive cat) after two transfusions of blood and great care we brought patch home and prayed for the best. They even checked in on us and we had a check up visit on Bloodwork to make sure her levels were good. Sometimes we take risks to save our babies and they def. Helped my cat in our time of need.

UPDATE. If you write a review they don’t like, the office will send you a letter telling you you are wrong. This place really needs to take a good look at all of these bad reviews instead of blaming the patient. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We’ve only been going to them for a couple months but every appointment and interaction has been worse than the previous. The vets seem nice enough, but the front staff is awful and you have to go through them to get anywhere. They are solely focused on getting as much money as they can. They gave me the run around when all I wanted was my dogs prescriptions to get them filled at HEB. First Said HEB was already closed (I didn’t need it immediately) then said they wouldn’t have the right dosage (they list meds for cats and dogs on their website). I said I wanted the prescription to at least try, again was told they wouldn’t have right dosage , but the vet office could fill it for me right now. Mind you, this was the 3rd time I had requested anti nausea meds for my dog over the past month with no call back. Also, would not approve my Chewy meds order or give me my dogs weight from the previous visit. They basically hold you hostage and won’t share any information on your pets so you are forced to order through them. STAY AWAY

My dog went in with a torn CCL. Doc explained she needed X-rays to determine diagnosis and medicine for a week or so to help mitigate the pain. I was told they would have the x ray results within a few hours. This was on a Friday and I had to call on Monday to inquire about the results. First time I called they hadn’t got them and would send it. Meanwhile two different staff members called me to ask how my dog was doing. So they can’t get on the same page on whose checking up on who and where my x ray report is. Called a second time and asked about the results. They had them and would email me shortly. Then the doc would call to follow up with me. Got the email and doc never called. Called the next day and was told the doc would call me. Called later that evening and was told the doc would call me. Here we are almost two weeks later with no follow up from the doc. Charged almost $600 for X-rays and medicine with no follow up afterwards. I don’t recommend this establishment. Seems they are too busy to keep up with their patients. Since I can’t reply to your response I ll just put it here. First, I only received the email with X-ray results and recommendations for surgeries AFTER my google review. Hmmm. How convenient. Secondly, I stated in the review that I was fully aware of the CCL issue and was waiting on the surgeon recommendations and X-rays from the doctor. I will remind you as my original post stated, I had to call several times to get the X-rays. The doctor never gave me any information on the surgeons. Yes, she did state my dog had a torn CCL and probably needed surgery. Again this was not new information. Lastly, it doesn’t matter if you are busy or not. Don’t make commitments you can’t keep. If you say you will send something then send it. If you say you will recommend places then recommend them. Your “busy schedule” is of no concern to me.

Doctor is great. Front staff is not so much. They do not update records correctly and when they do the will sometime update with the wrong information. I ended up leaving them with the final straw being when they called to reschedule an appointment and then called us later that same day (the day of the original appointment) to tell us we missed our appointment. I might consider going back, but at this point the entire front staff would have to change.

We had to take our dog to an ER and they were SO helpful and responsive. Chantel gave us great information, Dr. Seelhoff and her team took great care of Sophie and we were in and out of there quickly. Other ER vets said it would be a 3-6 hour wait, but this vet could take us immediately. It was definitely worth the drive from Spring. If you need a vet, I highly recommend them.

We brought our dog here because they had after hours service (for which I am grateful). My biggest concern is lack of communication between the office and clients. We called back numerous times in a 48 hour period and was told we would get a call back “shortly” which never happened. We received an email with bloodwork results, but no information or call explaining the results. We were also charged $400 over the price we were quoted. $1000 already seemed a bit exorbitant, but $1400 with no diagnosis or call from the vet did not settle well with us. They took off the $400 additional charges thankfully. When we picked up our dog we were told he most likely had a UTI, but no definitive diagnosis and was told to follow up with our primary veterinarian. I would think with how much we spent we would know what was wrong with our dog.

This office is so busy and overwhelmed with emergencies they cannot effectively communicate. I was told my dog could have a health episode at any time and we needed to do testing to get her on a treatment plan ASAP. After I spent hundreds of dollars on the test, apparently they didn't care about treatment anymore! I have waited over a week for the vet to explain the results. I called every day last week and although I spoke to the vet for a total of 5 minutes, I was told she would call me back for a more thorough discussion which never happened. If you don't answer the phone the first time they call, you will not get to talk to anyone who can provide an explanation because they're always busy with an emergency. I now have to take the results to another vet for an explanation and follow up. Based on this experience they seem to care more about profits than animals. It is good to have an emergency clinic in the area but don't expect good follow-up. Added after vet response: the day I wrote the review I received 12 emails about diagnosis and a letter from the vet that DID NOT include an apology (took time to write a letter but not call!). I followed up and asked to schedule an appointment to talk and they never responded. Their response to the review to blame me and my schedule is just absurd.

Took my 8 week old pug (Toby) to be seen because we were concerned as he was vomiting. They took him right in and took wonderful care of my new baby tested him and gave us detailed instructions to keep him healthy. Thank you for caring for my Toby and being so sweet and caring with us. 3/3/21

We had to put our dog to sleep, they were very compassionate and allowed us to spend as much time as we needed. It was a horrible experience but the staff and vet made it bareable

We were very dissatisfied with the response from the Dr. We had to call them for the results and they didn't let us know till we called. They had the results four days ago and never called with them!

Never rely on this pathetic establishment. They have absolutely zero professionalism, accountability or consideration for their clients. They are more than willing to take your pet to the back. Getting something as simple as a phone call to …

Excellent Dr! Our shih tzu really likes the entire staff. They are very transparent with services, costs, etc. it’s the only vet we’ve ever gone to where he runs to go in!

After Animal ER or NW refused me service because I was a big scary police officer I came here. I had a dog I found in distress after getting home from my shift. True Companion was beyond wonderful in my time of need. The other place wanted forms filled out and left me standing there with my dog in the back seat while they called the police on me for tapping on their window after I couldn't get my call answered. True Companion came out with a gurney and took my buddy in immediately. They didn't ask for any info from me until they had him inside and started aid. After that they got needed info and then took a good amount of time to explain the issues, talk options, and explain odds. In the end the decision was made to euthanize my buddy. It gutted me but what made it worse was being left standing there in need at the other place. Skip them and come to True Companion. It was a terrible thing but they were wonderful in their treatment of my pet and my wife and I. Thank you for that!

I actually cancelled my first appointment due to my interaction with the front desk personnel Sunshine. I’m not usually quick to a write a review but the way that woman handled the call and just speaking to me with such a belittling and irritated tone, I didn’t feel comfortable bringing my pup into that environment. I waited a day to think on it just to make sure I was taking anything to heart but after the sharing my experience with many others they brought it to my attention I should choose else where for my pup. I was referred which I why I was extremely eager and relieved to try them. I am a new a dog owner and also a new client and Sunshine the front desk personnel made me feel as dumb as rocks and was little to no help at all.

Today was our second visit to True Companion vet clinic. They took amazing care of our lab Maxine. The doctor and staff are super friendly and professional. They treated our dog as if she was their own dog. Highly recommended!

Top notch professional care starting with receptionist, vet techs and Doctor. I highly recommend. They saved my dog after she was bitten by a snake. I’m very grateful. Thank you!!
