My chihuahua was not feeling well and I called my vet who stated they didn't have any open appointments till a week later. I was very upset with them as you could see she was in pain. So much for that vet. I called VCA and the employee was empathetic with my needs. I went into the office and had to wait 3 hours but I have to say it was definitely worth the wait. Everyone was so professional from the front desk to the doctor. I will definitely be changing vets as you can see they definitely care about animals.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do NOT go here they will charge you just for taking your pets temperature they tried to tell me I needed to pay a bunch of money for tests even though they already knew what was wrong with my cat. The estimate kept getting higher everytime they came back in the room. When we refused and said we would go else where they claimed we should atleast pay for some kind of treatment from them or she wouldn't make it through the night which again kept getting higher in price. Needless to say we left pretty mad that they did nothing but take her temperature and still charged us a bunch of money for it and when we told the doctor that she didn't deny it. We also heard them telling a lady that they charge $200 to administer CPR if necessary & that there is a 50% chance of it working. These people are not in it for the sake of saving animals only for making money. O and if you come past a certain time the prices get even higher. We even asked if they could work out a payment plan in which they responded with a NO. ????

The staff was incredible and beyond helpful. We were on vacation with our cat Bernard and he developed a urinary blockage. They were very quick to get him in and comfortable. They saved his life and we are forever grateful!

The staff there were so friendly with me and my family. They made a difficult process easy for me and my fur baby. They went above and beyond to make sure my little puppy was comfy. I would 100% recommend anyone I know who have pets to go there. Each visit my wait was under 5 minutes.

I want to thank all the staff for being so understanding and compassionate in time of our need. Our beautiful Princess was 9wks and she had hydrocephalus. She got really sick Friday night early Saturday....and I didn't know where to take her. I looked and found Oso Creek. It was a very emotional experience for me il. I had never gone through this... thank you all for helping me through it all. Appreciation to all of u.

Rosie had been vomiting and had bloody diarrhea. We thought she was toast. She was examined, given iv fluids and medication. All the staff were polite, friendly and professional. We were just traveling through the area so we were especially glad to have a 24 hour vet available.good job everyone. Thanks for helping our Rosie.

They have been excellent with our animals. I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they gave my cat last night during an emergency. He is not very nice at the vet and Dr Fields gave him the best quality of care. Thank you so much. Highly recommend

The veterinarians are great. Unfortunately, the staff at the front are rude and condescending. I do everything for my dog and the attitude on the phone when I call and in person is very unprofessional. *Update * Thought I would give them another chance. Went in person to make my dog's 6 month check up. Again, very rude and condescending front desk staff. I work full time for a busy Dr. Office. It's my first 90 days, so I can't take time off. No offer of a solution, no weekend appointments are available due to the emergency room. I understand that but no need to treat me poorly because I have to work so I can provide for my dog. He was a rescue and I made a promise and a commitment to care for and love him with all my heart. He is my world, not just a small part. I wake up every day to give him everything. I found a new Veterinarian that has weekend appointments. They care about my dog and me as his family member.

I called and told the staff what was going on with my dog. They went ahead and took my information so it would make things quicker when I arrived. I was projected to be there for 3 to 4 hours (at 0115 am) due to another animal having surgery. They worked me in and got me out within an hour. Everyone was professional and I very much appreciate them working me in when my dog was considerably less sick than the other two dogs requiring a procedure and surgery. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!

if i could leave 0 stars i would. i waited 4 hours for them to give me a $1300 dollar bill. then proceeded to wait another hour just to receive pain medicine just to leave. my poor cat is in so much pain and i saw a vet for 2 minutes at best and the vet was in freaking leggings and cowboys boots. how extremely unprofessional is that. im not from here but my normal vet is more caring and respectful of their patients. absolutely ridiculous and not worth the time at all. truly horrible horrible service here. the only good staff was the front desk.

Went there yesterday for my little Levi and Mckayla was great helping me out and talking me through everything! She was very sweet and communicative and even tried her best to help me financially. Dr. Walker also checked in on him today:) very nice people

Called and was told the wait was not long. Two hours later ask how much longer and they said maybe another hour. 3 hours I guess is what they consider not long. Terrible service. Showed up at 330-345 left at almost 7.

Last night my sister took her dog here for a heart condition that he died of this morning just to find out that they knew he had since last year but didn’t tell her because they thought it was not a problem

I started losing my baby girl Mali on Tuesday night. I rushed her over and a nurse met me outside and carried her in. The man taking my information was amazingly patient and was able to decipher my words through my cries. They did not pressure me to answer hard questions immediately, giving me time to process what they asked of me. I felt they were doing everything they could to keep my girl comfortable. When it was clear I wouldn’t be leaving with my dog they gave me ample time to say my goodbyes and love on her. The staff was amazingly caring and informative about what was happening while I wasn’t able to be with her. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things you can go through but the staff did everything they could to comfort and support me on one of my hardest days. They also escorted me out the side of the building so I didn’t have to face the others waiting, which may be protocol but it’s a very nice touch. I hope I never have to go back there for a reason like this again. But I would trust them if I had to.

You and your family pet will become a fossil before you’re ever seen. Good luck and bring a tent and sleeping bag to spend the night.

Even after taking an appointment it takes 2 hours or more for them to see your pet :(

Would not recommend. My dog had gotten scratched or bitten by something and it took them almost 4 hours to see him. Once they did they didn’t even clean the wound or give him the correct meds. We saw/spoke to the vet a total 5 minutes and was charged $230 for absolutely nothing! I ended up taking him to his usual vet the next day where they gave him the correct meds and cleaned up him wounds.

I was told my dog needed a $7000 exploratory surgery, when I told them I couldn’t afford this I was told there were no other options and my dog would die before Monday when I could see my normal vet. I was very very distraught, I was offered no other scenarios and given nothing to help ease the poor little ones pain. I was not given any sympathy only a form to sign that I refused medical help. Being hindsight is better than foresight I have wished over and over that I would have hand written that I was not refusing service rather that i could not afford the one option I was given! My son had already dug a hole to bury her, this is how sure I was she would die because this is what I was told! I did ask if there was anything else we could do in place of surgery that would possibly work and was told no! My son has a medical background and he looked over her and stated that he felt she did have a chance, she wasn’t showing any sign of dehydrator, her belly didn’t feel at all tight or desented , her gums were healthy looking! My dog today is running around acting as if she was never sick, she did live until Monday when my vet opened, he reviewed X-rays and gave me some special dog food to try until she felt better, it has been a very frantic time and thank God she lives and seems healthy!

Can’t even answer a simple question over the phone. Whoever answered the phone was extremely rude.

I had no choice but to go to this place cause I was concerned about my dog eating something and the quote I got was 1,400/1,800 to help us. That’s ridiculous I live in San Antonio and had to pack up all my stuff and drive home at 5 am after leaving that place just to take my baby to his Vet and get him help by people who genuinely care. I understand the work they do but to not even give another option or anything was beyond what I expected from this place.

This animal hospital is great. Loved the way they treated my cat. She's a little wild. They did a good job of diagnosing her problem and treating her. The staff is awesome! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I took my 13 y/o dog there after my vet said my dog had kidney failure and needed a treatment so hopefully we could save her. They told us to take her to oso creek and they took great care of her for almost 3 days. They told us how much it would be up front and tried to work with us so we could afford it. They would call us each day with updates. Even after we took her home they still helped us take care of her by telling us which food to give her and how to give her an iv. I highly recommend them.

This past weekend I noticed my dog Shakira was limping, bleeding more than a normal period, and felt very weak upon picking her up. My mom and step dad took my baby to the vet then to Oso Creek hospital where they said it might be cancer or a uterus infection and she needed surgery ASAP. Thankfully, it was not cancer but I can not thank the staff enough for taking such great care of someone who means the world to me! They updated us frequently of her condition to bring ease to our minds. My Shakira is now recovering and it’s all thanks to the surgeon and supporting staff of this animal hospital.

Max 1 year old got up at 5 am and made strange noises. I was upset etc waited till about 7 and called and got in shortly after 8 am. It was clean and I did NOT MIND waiting in the car to be called in. When I called I was not brushed off they were so carrying. Max was checked in with care and when the Dr saw him he addressed me in a professional manner and took the way I felt in consideration. Thank you all for making us feel welcome and gave us care.

NOBODY SHOULD TAKE THEIR PETS HERE. My friends dog was left to die here by the vet techs. We showed up at 10pm to have our dog seen after he over heated and was not drinking water. They took him back on the stretcher because he could not walk, then 3 minutes later a tech DRAGS him back out on a leash to the waiting room, forcing him to walk when he could not. The TECH determined that he was not in critical condition, therefore they could not take him immediately. We waited until 2:30 am before an actual vet would take a look at him. And by that point, it was too late. Our dog was dead by the morning. These techs are incompetent and lack training. They should not be the ones making the decision between LIFE OR DEATH. But at this hospital, they are. I have never seen a place where untrained techs are in charge of such large decision making. They do not received doctorate degrees and have no way to prove their competence. Yet, they will let your dog die. Don’t be like us, and go to literally any other animal hospital. You’ve been warned.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. My Maltese had been coughing and throwing up for 2 days already and since the office I usually go to was full for the day I decided to take her here as a walk in. Waited over an hour in a room with my dog just for the woman veterinarian to come in for less than 3 minutes and listen to my dogs heart beat. Right away she explained that my dog had a heart murmur and that several tests were going to have to be done in order to see how long she had/ if her heart was going to fail. The assistant comes back with prices on the tests that were going to cost me almost $1000. I kept explaining to them that I thought it was just kennel cough because she had all the symptoms. I paid the fee to be seen that day and took my dog to her usual vet the next day. Turns out she has a upper respiratory infection. We have been treating her cough as this and she is now doing better. This place only wants your MONEY!! Do not go here!

If I could give them more stars, I would. I cannot get over how amazing this facility was with my cat and my family. Having just moved into town, we don’t have an established vet yet and this place got us right in. Yes, we waited for a bit but I knew my cat was going to be seen that day and that’s what mattered. They were more than accommodating with us as I had my three year old in tow and he was getting restless. VCA Oso Creek, I don’t know if I’m able to but you have a regular customer for the next four years or whenever we have to move again. ❤️
