The staff is always friendly and helpful here. Currently have 3 animals that have visited and not a single issue come up. They even stayed a bit lit when I found a kitten stuck in my vehicle and tool the time to walk me through the caring process for a 4 week old cat.

Excellent service from front counter . Docs are very knowledgeable and experienced small animals vets ,. have Supply of high quality pet food and shampoos etc.

It's a great animal hospital to take your pets to.

Polite front desk staff. Accommodating to working people, Saturdays available. Makes a big difference. Hopefully they continue to provide excellent service and care for the pet parents and the pets. Thank you for being accommodating for working pet parents. The Veterinarian was a little bit grouchy but very thorough. My dog is over stimulated in a new environment and the Vet got a little irritated but not angry. He is an adolescent puppy, we're working hard on his behavior. Being a pet Mom is an every day job. We will definitely be making this his full time Veterinarian. They have a "well" visit side and a "sick" visit side. Like that the entrance is separate. They accept Care Credit for thr visit and medications. That also makes a big difference.

Wow . Used to recommend this hospital to many of my friends and family but after today’s visit I will no longer exchange business . After a veterinarian (dr Moore) told us to shut up and sit down while waiting for my total ?? Bad business and bad customer service if you ask me.

Dr Roy was phenomenal taking care of my 12 yr old boxer. He was clearly sick not himself and the care service we received was great. Upfront and clear on all prices and very thorough exam. A round of antibiotics and some pain meds and we were out the door in less than 2 hours. Overall great service.

They were able to find me time that works with my schedule. Doc Roy is friendly, thorough and must be a dog whisperer. My best friend Jack and I wholeheartedly recommend Southside Animal Hospital.

Brought my little chug milly in for vaccines exams and nails clipped they got her in n out fast but were so friendly and loving through the whole experience I love it and their prices were great!

Overall very disappointed. I took our senior Dane to this vet based off good reviews and recommendations and was let down. The admin and vet techs were nice but the vet needs to find a new career. It was pretty apparent he didn’t have much patience to do a wellness exam on my dog. He never checked his heart, temperature, teeth, or inspected his body which has new skin tags forming all the time. I was asked if he was healthy…isn’t that what you’re supposed to tell me?! I had some concerns, one of which was my dogs eye. They vet was getting super aggravated that my dog kept pulling his head back when he was trying to examine and then basically gave up and said he couldn’t do anything.

This place is so animal friendly and great prices as well as quick service. Love it!

I like Dr. Wilson. She is very good with the animals but South side animal hospital is too expensive.

Had to put my baby of 17 1/2 years down. They were wonderful, very caring people. I wanted her cremeated and returned to me. They let me be with her when it was done. Allowed me all the time I needed with her afterwards. Price was very reasonable.

I've been going to these guys for years. Always professional!

Great staff and great vets

Amber is amazing. Dr. Garza was amazing but is leaving at the end of August ????. I previously left a good review but that was before I learned that they do NOT have the pump need to give your pets IV fluid during or after surgery/sedation... which is NOT good. I only found this out after I did extensive research myself and had to ask the right questions. I dont think they gave my cat the care he needed and ended up having to get emergency surgery after I took him to Oso Vet instead. They failed to detect the high levels of struvite crystals in his urine, I think they falsely diagnosed him with UTI's because they take freehand samples of urine which is inaccurate instead of a method called cystocentesis, which is the only accurate way to detect a UTI in cats. My cat HATED Dr. Moore. They way he handled my cat in front of me made me question how he treated him when I wasn't there. They were only treating my cats symptoms but failed to diagnose the source of the problem.. the crystals in his urine. The crystal count was so high Oso vet said (and sent me pictures from the microscope) and idk how Southside didn't detect any crystals. They do not call to update you, or when to pick up your pet. They DO NOT have separate rooms for the dogs and cats, so if your cat goes in, he's going to be hearing dogs barking all day which stresses the cat and can exacerbate the problem. The fact that they don't have the IV pump need to give your pet fluids during or after surgery BLOWS MY MIND. How are sedated animals supposed to get fluids after surgery, especially if they have urinary problems it just completely counterproductive, and I would have never known if I didn't do my own research. I really don't like Dr. Moore and I dont think he likes cats. I would not take your pet here for surgery because of the lack of IV fluid equipment. I mean, they make thousands a day but can't invest in basic equipment?? Which means your pet will not get adequate or proper treatment, do yourself a favor and take your animals elsewhere for sedation/overnight stays/surgery. If I didn't take my cat to Oso to get the proper diagnosis, I would have just kept taking him here to get dehydrated and blocked over and over until I was financially exhausted and would of have to put him down. If I didn't ask the right questions, he wouldn't have made it. I'm so glad I went elsewhere and got the proper diagnosis which resulted in him getting PU surgery, and his blockage problems are now gone. Highly don't reccomend, I dont agree with how Dr. Moore practices. He didn't even prescribe my cat anti-inflammatory meds and every time he came back from there overnight he was scared, aggressive. When he came back from surgery in Victoria, he was loving and affectionate and still is a week later. I really think they didn't treat my cat right. Highly don't reccomend.

They are busy but what I really appreciate is, if they can't get to your call, you don't have to sit on hold. You're able to leave a voicemail and they'll get back to you. I actually had a second person call a few hours later to make sure I was taken care of. My pup seems to really like it here so I will continue to bring him here!

I love this place. My Gracie doesn't like the Doctor but she love the nurses. They let me bring in my second puppy for moral support. Very professional and extremely thorough in there records of my dogs needs.
