When a cat was dying and needing to be put down to end his suffering, the cat was not able to jump the line. The staff said that the client (who had been a client for more than 30yrs) could leave the cat there and they would get to it when they could. The lack of empathy and compassion in this emergency situation is atrocious and says a lot about the owner. Imagine if it was your pet in this situation and you were gutted and hysterically crying/pleading for the doctor to put your baby out of its misery, only to be disregarded. The cat I’ve mentioned above ended up dying in route to the next vet and suffered during his last moments when Doug Posey could have helped him get to the rainbow bridge in peace. Doug Posey should be ashamed of himself!

We were treated great. Vet is knowledgeable, and it was a good experience..they were great with our new dog Archie ..an English bulldog...regret that Archie peed on the vets shoe..but she handled it with grace. Will definitely return.

I LOVE Dr. Posey -- he's attentive, compassionate, and takes good care of my fur baby. The staff is also attentive, professional, and kind. Would highly recommend!

Treat our dogs like family!

I feel right at home with Dr Posey and his assistants. They make you feel right at home and take great care of my pets. We tried other vets closer to home but have decided to go back to Riverside because of the exceptional service they give.

Every time I need them, they get my fur baby in.

I honestly have no complains, its great, the staff is nice, not too expensive, sometimes they make you wait a bit long but its understandable they actually take really good care of your pets

Friendly, I got all my questions answered. I was completely satisfied.

My pet was very ill I was not able to see him and when I would call to check on him the vet tech was very rude and just sounded annoyed like I was just a bother. I was not able to see my baby before he passed and had I known he was suffering I’d have him put down so he didn’t have to go through that. My baby was so loved and I wish they would’ve gave me a chance to show him love one more time they just let him pass thinking I forgot about him which is so hard to think about. Regardless the situation I should’ve been able to see him I was a paying customer and had the right to see my baby. I ???? percent do not recommend this place!

Nice people and they really care about your animals

They are so friendly. They answer all your question to where you understand. They are so loving and caring with the animals. They have good prices too.

Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be bringing my pets here in the future.

I had to visit here July to sadly have my 14 year old cat put down, they were very supportive and gave us time to mourn. I later brought my 5 year old to get a physical and checkup and they did everything they could to help her. She is now very healthy! :)

I’ve been coming here for a while now and I had to witness my dog get handled by the receptionist putting a way too small Muzzle on my boy who was obviously uncomfortable and he had his head down towards the ground while walking… i had said something to her and she said it’s supposed to be that tight around him… as I cried she looked at me with no remorse… heartless and unprofessional. I’ve only had one assistant with Roscoe and he knew how to put a muzzle on my boy and did it with such comfort towards my dog was very comfortable and followed him but this lady was dragging him. I’m very pissed…

Today I took my yorkies to the vet and the women vet that saw my dogs is so unprofessional. I asked her a question and she totally ignored me. My husband and I looked at each other cause she ignored me and I told my husband infront of her wow she just totally ignored me????. She was really upset because one of my dogs was a little hyper. So when it was all said and done we waited in the car so they could bring my shot records and my card. But since I know there is covid my question to her was very important because I want to protect my doggies too. So when the assistant brought my stuff I told her "can you ask Vet ( man) about my question since the Vet ( woman) ignore me completely" . She was reluctant and tried to explain covid to me but was saying about parvo ???? she said pets and human parvo are different....I told her please go ask the Vet ( man) if it's ok for my pets to be around other people because I don't want them to get it. And I laughed and I told her humans have parvo ???????? She laughed,we both did and she said she was sorry. She went back inside and asked the Vet ( woman the one that was totally rude) and she told her to tell me that The covid dogs get is different from the ones we humans get. Everything about today was a disaster . It's sad because everyone else is nice there. The Man vet who saw my dogs in recent vista was very professional and really nice. I will only go back if he sees my pets. I don't recommend the woman vet at all.

Best Vet in the coastal bend they have took care of many animals of mine and have saved my cats life once as well. I am graceful that these workers are here by the grace of god! Thank you Tejas vet for putting all your hard work into everything you do! For our animals.

We have gone here 3 times and the 2 times it was fine but then during covid we couldn’t go in with our Dog & he was labeled “aggressive” which he isn’t… they had seen him twice & no problems The new vet, to us at least was a lady not the older gentleman we had seen. She came in to the room not saying hi to us or our dog and started with “insurance policy is aggressive dogs need to be muzzled” & again we don’t know where this came from. She proceeded to criticize our training when she didn’t even ask what it was in the first place & then said he was too difficult to do a blood test on. She doesn’t even look the type to like pets. She never pet him, said his name or tried to calm him herself or get to know him. We won’t be going back till she is gone. The gentleman that helped us was so understanding & helpful in handling our dog he should be in charge not her.

I was extremely impressed with the way they helped my fur baby cat. If they hadn't explained the severity of my cats health he would be deceased right now but instead they went above and beyond to give my cat back to me. Yes he will have health issues for the rest of his life and now because of them we will be able to help him live a better and longer life. I am so grateful to all the staff that helped make this possible. God bless everyone you are all mine and my cat (champs) hero

They take very good care of my tootsie. Clip her nails, got some flea meds for her, which work real good , flea's started falling off her.,.

Riverside has the best people working for them. They really love animals and they will take care of yours as their own. I have been going to them for at least 10 years now. You won't find a better vet.
