James and the Lonestar team did a phenomenal job training my dog goldendoodle, Jo! Jo was a good puppy but would get excited and was hard to control. She would pull constantly on walks, jump on people, bark constantly in her crate, etc. It was amazing seeing what the team was able to do with her in the matter of weeks! She is so pleasant to be around now and we get endless compliments on how well behaved she is. Shortly after Jo finished camp we moved to a big city. I can take Jo anywhere in the city with confidence that she will be well behaved. Just last week I took her with me to the grocery store because I needed to grab a couple of things. I was amazed when she laid at my feet while I did the self checkout. Before Lonestar Training she would have been running around saying hello to everyone in the store. Lonestar Training is worth every penny! I will not have a dog in my lifetime that doesn’t go!

We sent our 1 year old Golden Retriever, Betty to James and have also recommended several of our friends use his services as well. James has devoted his life to training house pets, and folks send their dogs to him from all over the world. Areas where we saw the most improvement: 1) on leash 2) around other people 3) around other dogs 4) off leash. Goldens love everyone and everything, so our Betty would essentially lose her mind in happiness around other people or dogs. After James, Betty literally sat in her place during Christmas while 4 screaming children ran around our house screaming for three days straight. Her behavior was quite literally unbelievable to us. When we needed her to sit and chill, she did. When she was free to "play" she did great and returned to her place as needed. Walking her on a leash is a joy now. No more pulling. Also I never thought I would trust any dog off a leash and I now walk her around our neighborhood with the leash in hand, but not attached. She stays right by my side. I could go on for days about her improvements, or just feel free to call me if you want to hear more about our experience. James also offered to take her back for a few days since our training was cut a bit short from uncontrollable circumstances. He wants the best for your pet. I'll end by saying I understand these are our babies and you will want updates from James 24/7 to see your dog. Not going to happen and that is not a realistic expectation. You need to know that James will not text you every minute of the day, because he is busy training your dog. Not playing on his phone. You will get updates as James sees fit. He's the pro. Also his home/training facility are ridiculously nice and your dog is safe as ever while there.

We put our 6 months of Golden Retriever Puppy, Jax - with James for board and train and the results were amazing. Jax came back home as a well trained puppy and we are all so happy for the work James did for us. We are from Austin, TX but finding James 3 hrs away near Dallas, TX was worth enough after seeing the improvements of Jax. We had to put Jax a little extra time with James and he was very happy to accommodate our request. James has an amazing training and boarding facility next to his own house, which has a very large backyard. If you are considering to professionally train your dog, then do not look further... James Hamm is your man!

In short: James is a top-tier dog trainer who transformed how we communicate with our dog. Absolutely worth the investment, and we are thrilled and elated with the results. If you have the chance to book a board and train with James, DO IT. He’s the best of the best and we couldn’t be happier with how he worked with our dog. Thank you, James. You are amazing! The long: My wife and I adopted a German shorthaired pointer puppy after doing a lot of research about what dog would best suit our lifestyle. We were first-time dog owners and wanted to make sure that we brought a dog into our life as responsibly as possible. Because we are runners and outdoors people, we wanted a dog who could fit our active lives while also being a sweet and loving family companion for us and our future kids. In the months before bringing our pup home, we read all the training books, spent countless hours watching YouTube training videos, puppy-proofed our house, developed a strict training regime, and were committed to training our pup all by ourselves. We knew that GSPs were ‘demanding’ dogs with a ton of energy, but we figured we could handle it with enough preparation, dedication, and enthusiasm. Upon bringing our dog Callie home with us, we were immediately overwhelmed. My wife and I both work full-time and our training techniques, though slow and effective, did not have as much immediate success as the books and videos seemed to suggest they would. Especially with a GSP, who are highly intelligent dogs that need to be occupied to avoid potentially destructive or unwanted behavior, we quickly felt that we did not have the tools to properly train her. After a few months, some of our training seemed to be working, except for the most consequential and important commands: heel walking, recall, counter-surfing, and extended stays. Despite our deep love for our pup, this made life with her stressful for both her and us. Daily walks were frustrating and helpless; we felt uncomfortable taking her anywhere off-leash; we were hesitant to bring her to friends’ houses or to restaurants. Although we had a deep bond with Callie and she respected and loved us, we lacked the tools to communicate with her in high-distraction situations. Positive reinforcement didn’t work when she chased squirrels nor on leash walks, nor did it convince her to come to us when she was off leash. This is when we knew we needed additional help. We were recommended to James and through reading his reviews, looking at his website, and talking with him on the phone, we understood him to be the best of the best. It was difficult to get a hold of him at times, and we had to be persistent (and probably annoying) to schedule the board and train—and to have explicit confirmation about when the board and train would occur—but I can only imagine this is because he is so busy both training other dog trainers, government K9 agencies, and running a top-notch private training facility. When we finally did confirm our training with James, we were nervous. What if Callie came home to us like a robot, void of all personality? What if the training didn’t work and she was still a little monster who didn’t listen to us? Four weeks later, we picked Callie up. Although it was an adjustment getting used to the the e-collar and new training vocabulary, James explained everything to us incredibly well, gave us all the resources we needed, and was available to us by phone with any issues we ran into. Though the first few weeks were difficult, we soon realized how profoundly well the training worked. We are now able to bring Callie anywhere off leash. She can stay in a down for as long as necessary, even when people come in and out of the house. Her recall is terrific in every situation. The freedom that we have with Callie, and that Callie has on her own, is truly a beautiful thing to experience. If you have the chance to book a board and train with James, DO IT. He’s the best of the best and we couldn’t be happier with how he worked with our dog. Thank you, James. You are amazing!

Breed: Vizsla Age: ~9 months When I was in search of a dog trainer I was living in Germany on my way to move to Texas. On first contact James told me to bring my Vizsla straight to him as it would be the best method. While I was getting all the things for my apartment she was off with James and even though we didn't hear much I had full trust that he was taking good care of her (keeping in mind that he's at work with 8 other dogs around the clock too!). We received a few videos of her progress and I was AMAZED to see our dog walking nicely in heel while other dogs were around her! James had our Vizsla for almost 4 weeks because he was sick a week and wanted to refine her obedience for an extra week at no cost. When I arrived at the facility I was nervous but once we started the training together I was BLOWN AWAY. Our pup was a completely different dog in public and in stores too. Now writing this almost a month later, I don't know what I would have done had I not reached out to James. Before we were extremely limited to what we could do because of our dog's excitement around basically everything. With an international flight she had major issues with the kennel plus separation anxiety and overall it was hard to be able to enjoy her when it felt like she was dictating our lives and not the other way around Throughout these weeks our dog has been home it's been a complete turnaround. I'm beginning to look FORWARD to walks because it's when we get to have fun together and it's the best way to build relationship with each other. And while there are moments where she needs more guidance it's nothing that's felt impossible compared to what my husband and I were dealing with before we met James. Her personality is still her goofy, people loving self but she is MUCH more easy to manage. And whenever I've felt like I was doing something wrong I would let James know immediately and he would always makes sure to give me a few suggestions to work with -- all of which work like a TREAT. Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are of James and everything that he has done for my family and for our pup!!

Short story: James is one of the best dog trainers (if not the best) in America. If you don't believe me, I traveled from LA to Dallas to get my two dogs (vizsla and yellow lab) trained. Longer story: Lab (1.5 years old ) and Vizsla (1 year old) were crazy dogs. Lab was incessant barker at people and other dogs. Vizsla would destroy couch, carpet, molding/drywall. etc. They would rough house, have constant zoomies, dig holes in the backyard, etc. We exercised these dogs 2-3 hours a day but still nothing worked. We would have people over and dogs would jump, bark, go crazy, countersurf, etc. We took both to board and train in LA for three weeks, which did nothing. We then tried owner/dog public classes that also did very little. I was losing my mind and started doing research to find the best dog trainer in America (no distance was too far). After quite a bit of research I found James. I got these pups from LA to Dallas and they spent five weeks with James. James did an excellent job of communicating with my wife and me. He updated us constantly and sent us videos of their progress. When he had the dogs all trained up, we went to his facility since we did not live in the area. He spent several hours 1x1 training us to make sure that the dogs would continue to be well trained when they got back home. His facilities are top notch and his is a true professional. I've spent quite a bit of time with professional athletes and CEOs and he is the equivalent in dog training... a true master of his craft. When I saw the transformation of my dogs when we showed up to his facility, I couldn't believe it. It was too good to be true. They would sit when told. They walked without a leash right next to my left leg. They came running when called and sat next to me. They didn't jump. They didn't bark. They would sit at "place" until called. It was nothing short of a miracle. It's been two months now and the training sticks. James gives you a full packet and the tools to be successful. The e-collar training is amazing and is humane (coming from a guy who lives in LA!). It is also important because as an amateur, it really elevates the continued training. When we had 30 people over for Thanksgiving, our friends couldn't believe their eyes. The two dogs were sitting on their cots not barking and wouldn't move until I released them. Friends would say stuff like "I can't believe these are your dogs. They are so well behaved. What did you do?!" The training has been so great that I had the lab (previous crazy barker) walk past several dogs within inches of each other on a narrow trail without even a growl. My neighbors asked us if we still have our dogs because they don't bark in the backyard anymore. People constantly ask me on the street "Woah! Your dogs are so well behaved! What did you do?" I just respond, "I sent them to Texas." The lab had one minor issue when she first came back and James worked with me on the issue and even sent me a training aide for free to make sure it got fixed (and it did). He really cares about making sure you're happy with your dog. Trust me you will be beyond happy. Having our two dogs is now so enjoyable (they still have their personalities without all the craziness). There isn't the stress and constant worry anymore. There is nothing like well trained dogs and James is your man. His prices are extremely fair for the product, and it's cheaper than the ridiculous LA rates! Thank you James!

We handed James a field-bred Golden Retriever who thought he was a frat boy and, in three weeks, James handed us back a Golden who thought he was a southern gentleman on his way to a dinner party. Bravo and Thank You James!

We sent our Standard Poodle, Roxanne, to Lonestar Dog Trainer when she turned 6 months old. She was incredibly sweet, but wasn’t polite in the house, pulled like a truck when on walks, and was pretty rough with our son when they played. James worked wonders with her! She came home the same sweet puppy that we sent to training, but is even more enjoyable than we could ever have imagined! She’s polite in the house, walks off leash in a tight heel, and still loves to play with our son (but now she’s able to back it down when she needs to, making it more enjoyable for both of them!). I would give James 10/10 stars if I could! If you are considering sending your dog to a trainer, invest the time and money in a quality program and send your dog to Lonestar Dog Trainer!

When I started looking for a trainer for Zayne I was overwhelmed to say the least. James was referred to me by a family member and again by a friend. Zayne was a good dog before, but he could care less what I was saying or asking him to do. If he was outside or had any distractions, including smells, he might as well be a million miles away. When I picked him up today, he was the same happy, high energy puppy I love, but he had a very cool, calm, collective side that knew when it was time to work. James was able to get Zayne’s focus off the ground and onto him or myself. He is heeling off leash with distractions galore and not paying them any mind. I believe at this point I am the one who needs to practice in order to get on Zayne’s level. Thank you Lonestar Dog Trainer for everything. Great work!

Incredibly knowledgeable trainer from food to training to equipment. Adding a new addition to our family was overwhelming but James taught us the skills needed to maintain healthy boundaries and keep a happy home with our South African Boerboel puppy. Professional and Responsive, Thank you James!

The experience we had with James at Lonestar Dog Trainer was impeccable from start to finish. I was researching a few different trainers across Texas and Louisiana. When I spoke to James, I knew it was right. He not only was incredibly knowledgeable, but also extremely professional - he never once talked badly about the other trainers I spoke to him about (I think this says a lot). After deciding to go with James, he was always available to talk to us. When we dropped off our 6-month-old Golden Retriever (Beau) with James, it was the toughest thing we had to do (he's our baby). James was kind, reassuring, and made us feel safe/comfortable with our decision. His training facility is superb! It is extremely clean, orderly, and just the kind of place your pup will grow and be comfortable in for the next month. Throughout Beau's stay with James, he provided us with pictures, videos, and phone calls to show his progress. We were so excited! When it came time to pick up Beau, we were in awe. Our sweet, wild, non-responsive puppy was still sweet but now attentive, sharp, and ready to listen to anything we said. Beau now heels on and off-leash with distractions, places in his bed, kennels with no issues, and is an absolute joy to be around. We are thankful each day we chose James to train Beau. We couldn't have had a more positive experience and will always use James with any future pups we have. I also have to say, James' wife, Wanda, did an amazing job bathing and grooming Beau! I would drive from Louisiana to get him groomed! If you are on the fence, don't be! This has enhanced our life in that we have more freedom to go out in public, have friends and family over, and live a happier life because of Beau's better behavior! Choose James and invest in you and your pup. You will not regret it!

After weeks of searching the perfect trainer to send my 10 month GSP, I finally decided to go with James. It turned out to be a great decision, before I brought her she was very hyper and didn’t know how to control all of her energy. She came home a whole new dog, no more jumping on people or whining in the kennel. I wouldn’t send my dog anywhere else!

James did a great job with Whiskey not sure how he does it but, it is truly a night and day difference in the dog. When before I could not control him on an everyday walk, now my twin 8 yr old girls walk him to school! Good job at a reasonable price! thanks again James

James was upfront about the long wait to get my lab Ruthee in. As it got closer to the time he projected we coordinated for a drop off and he was very flexible. The flexibility allowed me to drop Ruthee off after a long drive instead of having to drive 3 hours each way to drop her off. It saved me a ton of time and I appreciated it. I dropped Ruthee off right after her 1st birthday ad came back a changed dog. Previously she was a counter surfer and loved to open cabinets and drawers looking for things to get into when I was out. She was already pretty good at most commands, but still had a few issues with meeting people and chasing squirrels/rabbits etc. She knows all of the commands and does them with minor corrections. He was upfront on how long I would need to keep using the e collar for her. She still has some mixups, but we were out hiking the other day and there was a person running on the trail, she started to go, but very quickly responded to my command of heal. The next time we saw someone running, she ignored them completely and stayed in a heal next to me. I can't wait to see how she continues to improve over the next 4-6 months. If you expect a dog back that is perfect and doesn't need daily training and reinforcement of good behaviors, you won't get it. James is very upfront about that. I can't recommend James enough and I will certainly use him for my next dog. He makes it really fun to train Ruthee and so much easier to live in a home with her.

We sent our “hurricane hound” Border Collie to James at Lone Star Dog Training where on three weeks he turned her into a well behaved and still lovable lady with whom we can now travel and not worry about her interacting inappropriately in any situation. We would recommend James and Lone Star Dog Training 100 percent!

James Hamm was an answer to prayer. Our 8-mo.old Labradoodle, Kenai, came to us at 8 weeks and started out as any other sweet puppy. At 16 weeks, we sent him to a 2-week board and train program that had worked beautifully for our previous pet. Kenai returned relatively obedient, but as he grew, so did the temperament and the struggle for dominance and control between owner and pet. He began to ignore commands, never came when called, roamed wherever he wanted-even in areas he clearly knew were off limits- and started grabbing anything and everything he could find to chew up and destroy--eyeglasses, pillows, remotes, cell phones, books, kitchen towels, etc. Any attempt to take things from him provoked a chase. If told “No” before a heist, or other attempt at correction, he would turn and bark at me wildly. If he was awake and uncrated he was constantly looking to make trouble and was a disaster to control. These behaviors intensified during my convalescence following emergency back surgery, so Kenai was returned to his trainer for another 2 weeks. But a few days after his return home, it was clear he knew his primary caretaker was unable to take charge. He began chewing again, tearing up rugs, shrubs, and pulling chucks out of the wooden fence in the backyard. He was wild on a leash, bolting after squirrels and jumping on people. One attempt at controlling him with my foot on his leash resulted in a broken toe. No one wanted to deal with this very strong, unruly and disobedient 50 lb. dog, least of all, me, who was physically compromised and at wits end with frustration and anger. This pet, who was suppose to be a joy, was becoming full-time aggravation and I was regretting my decision to get him. I was desperate for real help. When I found James through a Google search and read his profile, I knew he was the trainer Kenai needed. James clearly sensed my desperation and graciously accommodated me on a short string given my circumstances and our travel plans for the holidays. After 21-days with James and the intense Board and Train, Kenai returned to us a different dog. He is attentive, obeys commands, respects boundaries and knows his place. He walks beautifully off leash with me, even amid the ubiquitous distraction of the SQUIRREL! We obviously have a lot of reinforcement to do, but the transformation in behavior is life changing. James is a remarkable trainer who deeply knows and understands dogs and gets results. I cannot recommend him enough. He has been a life (and dog!) saver for our family. Thank You, James Hamm for your dedication to these wonderful animals and for your service to our nation. You are a true hero!

James takes the time to explain how the training is going to work, and how he would be training us when our dog was coming home. He does a fantastic job instilling obedience, manners and respect in the dogs. Our dog Savannah is the best behaved dog we have ever seen and everyone who is around her is amazed at her good behavior. I would recommend James at Lone Star Dog Trainer with the highest regards and the best opportunity for top of the line training for any dog. You will never regret sending your dog to James but you should regret it if you don’t!!!

All I can say is thank you to James for bringing peace back to our home. We got Ruger (now 19 month old GSP), and he was a terror to put it lightly. We worked with another trainer, and although we knew he was a smart dog, he wasn't showing any notable progress. James worked around our schedule to get Ruger into boarding a few days earlier than planned due to travel, and then he worked his magic in 21 days. James was very patient with my husband and I during the pickup session, as we came with lots of questions about how to be successful at home. Ruger has learned how respect his handler, he has learned to be calm outside of his kennel, there is balance in our home between he and our other dog, AND most importantly he has learned all of this without losing sight of his sweet personality. Ruger is more well behaved than most dogs I've dealt with, and he was a force to be reckoned with when we dropped him off. We are so happy with the results and would recommend James to anyone experiencing difficulty with their pup.

I recently took my lab, Chispa, to Lonestar Dog Trainer. I could not be happier with the job James did with my dog. My wife and I work full time so we had no time to train our puppy. The facility where James does the training is amazing, way above what I expected. Our dog now walks with no leash around the neighborhood. She is the best behaved dog I have ever had and she still has her funny/outgoing personality. I have sent numerous friends/family dogs to him because of how impressed we are with our dog. Don't take your dog anywhere else for training!!!

Today we picked up our 7 month old Airedale Hans from James after a month of training. We could not have been more impressed with the progress James made with Hans. Hans is a goofy, strong willed, sweet dog that has actually been an easy puppy at home (no chewing, digging, no house training issues) however, around others I was not able to control him. Knowing he will easily be over 100lbs since his father and grandfather were each 135lbs I wanted to be sure as he grew I would be in control and we could enjoy him as a part of our family. We are eager to practice what James taught Hans. It is only the first night and he’s doing exactly what James showed us today at graduation as well as what we can expect in the first few days. I feel a great sense of relief and confidence that we will be able to implement his new commands in our daily routine. James is very thorough and makes himself available for the support needed after you get back home with your dog. In summary, I am glad I took the time to do research on the different trainers and got exactly what Hans needed and we wanted from James! A+++++++

Before picking a trainer I did my research, and I can honestly say I'm very happy we went with James. At times he may not be the most responsive, but you can rest assured he's spending the time it takes to truly work with your dog to acheive their potential. My 8 month old Doberman came back the same happy go-lucky goofy boy we left but so much better trained and actually willing to listen to commands/properly walk on and off leash (previously very stubborn). My neighbors have noticed the drastic change and have even asked for details so they can send their dogs. Highly recommended.

We tried a couple of training techniques with Ivan, our 10 month old GSP, but nothing worked. Our biggest issue was that he was un-walkable. He pulled so hard that he was choking within minutes. He bolted through open doors and with his GSP focus on squirrels and birds, we knew that if he got away he'd be gone. Due to this behavior, his life was getting more and more limited and he was basically confined to the house and the backyard. We did a lot of research on trainers in Texas and it became obvious to us that James was the best option by far. Ivan spent 4 weeks with James and he is a totally different dog now. He's still the same happy puppy but he's learned how to listen. I'm now able to take Ivan for a walk - something I just couldn't do before his training. Lots of other behavior improvements too! What is most important for me though is that due to his training, Ivan's life will be better because he now gets to experience life outside of his own backyard. Thanks James!

I took my 10 month old Golden Retriever, Goose to James for what was supposed to be a 21-day training course for most dogs. Turns out, Goose is not “most dogs”, and James will keep your dog as long as it takes for them to learn the basics. Goose is a very sweet dog but he was strong willed, stubborn, and kind of a jerk if he wanted to be. The 21 day course turned into a full month! We missed Goose terribly but James brought home the best version of my dog; cool, calm, and very responsive to commands. James spent 2-3 hours training our family on how not to screw up his hard work. He was very patient with us and made sure we understood the equipment and commands to keep Goose on on the right path. James was incredible and well worth the investment. Happy Dog and Happy Family

So we sent our crazy, counter-surfing, and generally unresponsive white Lab to James and he came back an entirely new dog. So much so that we decided to do some remodeling and needed to kennel the labs (we have 3) and decided the older dogs needed to go away to camp but the pup (Finn) was now so well trained that it wouldn’t be an issue to have him in the house amidst all the distractions. And it wasn’t! He was great. Totally blown away!!!

I don't really have the words to explain our and our pups experience with James. Our dog is an Aussie Border Collie mix. As much as we love him like a child, he is incredibly smart and you bet he came with a smart attitude and lots of boredom. When we brought him to James he was super rambunctious, hated his kennel, an every second counter surfer, excited urinator, and absolutely despised sitting still. He was with James for about 5 weeks and let me tell you, I didn't know that just 5 weeks our dog would become our dream dog. Let me preface by saying, no dog is perfect. There are still a few challenges we face of course because he's a dog. But the behavioral changes of literally everything are night and day and my husband and I couldn't be more blown away. No more leash pulling, no more bolting out the door, no more fussing to get in his kennel.....he goes in there by himself now even without asking, no more excited urination, no more jumping on people upon arrival, no more counter surfacing, and the off leash walking is unexplainably impressive. I can tell this dog to stay and walk around the block and come back and he's still where I left him. Before, you couldn't pay me enough money to make him stay in one place. James not only transformed our dog but he put us as dog owners in our place to help us be the owners that our pup needs and we are so grateful. Thank you James for everything. We've raved about you to so many others and in 3-5 years with our next dog, we will be back :)

We sent our Border Collie Aussie (Tucker) to James and he came back a brand new dog for the better. He was a terror with energy and running away with stuff in his mouth. Wouldn’t trust him off leash and he would pee when we got home. Now we have complete control and feel like a boss with a dog that stays stuck to my leg off the leash. Definitely would recommend and is worth it all. Zero complaints through the process.

We honestly thought there would never be anyone who would be able to help our darling dog Shipley, an 18 month old Golden Doodle. Other than being cute and lovable, he was completely untrained and a total rascal before sending him to the Lonestar Dog Trainer. It was well worth the 6 month wait and every penny spent. Shipley no longer counter surfs, jumps on house guests, gnaws shoes/socks/anything furry and/or runs out of the yard and into the street. James is a miracle worker. We genuinely thought our dog was incorrigible so could never have imagined the change in his behavior when we picked him up 4 weeks later. We still chuckle at James' comment at drop off as we pulled out of his drive and wished him luck with Shipley. Very confidently and with a straight face, he said to my husband and me, "I don't need luck". James is a pro. Commands of "here", "down", "place", "heel," and "look sharp" are all happily heeded. James loves dogs, loves his livelihood and is amazing at what he does. If there were ten stars I would give James a ten in all categories. Oh, and he does this all alone as he will happily tell you, "he is the only one who will train your dog".

Our German Shorthaired Pointer, Ivan, came into our lives as a two-month old puppy at the beginning of 2021. The previous year, our two rescues had both died and by year's end we decided it was time to fill the void their passing left. As it turned out, Ivan was a perfect choice for us, both because my wife and I instantly bonded with him and because he had every bit the energy of two dogs in one! The combination of his breed and the fact that he was still a puppy made him, lovable but exhausting and not the satisfying kind of exhausting. He was all but impossible to walk because of his impulse to run, his constant search for birds, squirrels, other dogs or anything else that moved or might move and his never ending energy level. We enrolled Ivan in local dog training classes. One was a one-on-one class for one hour once a week for eight weeks and another was a group class once a week for a similar amount of time. His behavior improved somewhat but not enough to lower the stress level in our house or reduce the damage to it for that matter. Ivan was persistent at snagging any and all kinds of objects off tables and counters. It didn’t matter if it was food, books or earbuds. Our backyard started to look like a moonscape because of all the holes he dug. When he wasn’t digging holes in the yard, Ivan was chewing holes in our carpet and rugs. One day when I was leaving the house, I saw a neighbor while I backing out of our driveway. He asked where I was going & I told him I was on my way to the furniture store to buy more chew toys for Ivan only half joking. Tables, bed covers, pillows, magazines, books and more were all fair game. It became obvious that Ivan’s behavior wasn’t going to improve on its own and we weren’t equipped to teach him better habits. We’ve had Ivan back at home for ten days now and the change is amazing. He came home with all of his personality intact but with all his difficult to live with habits eliminated or easy to manage. James stressed that we’ll have to continue working with Ivan, which we are, but any work we do with him never would’ve been possible without the foundation he learned while at Lonestar. Thanks so much James! - Peter
