Boarding dogs are only out of their cages for not even 30 minutes a day. The manager is very rude and unprofessional.

I have had great experiences with this Animal Hospital! The numerous times I've been in the front staff have been kind and courteous as have Dr. Cowser and his associates. Dr.Cowser is extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate, I also love how he communicates my dogs needs and walks me step by step of medications. My dog Harriet is so calm when coming to the office and loves coming in! Thanks so much VCA Sandy Lake!

I would be extremely careful dealing with Vets Petre and Alleman. I was not able to bring a cat to this location to be seen as the doctors had refused service to me stating in an email that I had an argument with a vet about the care and recommendations of the cat with allergic reactions to a flea treatment they gave without even me requesting it. The real reason was for a payment they were waiting on from a company taking care of the bill due to a reaction it had for a flea treatment. After the office manager sent me an email refusing service statubg they felt it was because I was not "listening to recommendations" and then on their in house notes it clearly states "dr Petre explained she is not going to do treatment without payment". what a bluff!! There was some miscommunication between office manager and Dr. Petre but since it was allergic reactions to flea treatment they gave they wanted no liability whatsoever as they had put down another cat for serious lumps that formed from flea treatment and in order to get rid of me and stop caring for my pet they lied saying I hung up while dr Petre was talking about recommendations, when their inhouse notes clearly shows she was bugging me for payment which was already taken care of by the office manager This veterinary hospital scares me every time I think about what they did to my cats. I can never trust them ever again. As you can see from the email why they refused service and then their real reason for not continuing the care and treatment of the pet. two different stories. I never received any notes for the cat that was euthanized although it was requested. I also never receied a response from the district manager and the office manager for the email I sent requesting an investigation on Dr Petres false statements she made to refuse treatment for my cats.

We've taken our pets to VCA since 2003 when we lived in Coppell. All of my sisters and I grew up and moved away but still take our pets to VCA Coppell from Frisco and Dallas. Pets can't speak, so taking care of their health with someone you trust is so important! They tell you what's best for your pet and I value that. We trust Dr.Cowser and the kind VCA team with our pets and that's why this is our #1 vet!

With much sadness we had to put down our 13 year old Labrador. It was an emotional time for us but everyone at VCA was so kind and supportive. Thank you!

We used a pay payment plan to try and save on an operation. When I canceled incorrectly I was charged $544 for vaccinations, NOT including the large up charge for a heart worm test. $544 for Vaccinations ... the things required by law ????????????

I've been going to VCA for years and they continue to be great. Currently, they have a sign to tell you to call them when you arrive for your appointment but their phones are down. You will need to knock on the door, and someone in the office will come out and help you????

Just took my 2 year old kitty stripes in. Place is nice and clean, wait time was only a few minutes. They were awesome! My cat is having allergies and she could tell I couldn't afford the x-rays so she suggested we try something else first that was cheaper. This will definitely be our new get!

I love this place. I get nervous having to take my cats to the vet for whatever reason. I am never sure if they will treat my babies right or if it will be too expensive. But it has always been surprisingly inexpensive and I get the feeling from everybody there that they care more about the animals than the money. They are all gentle and understanding. I can't see myself taking my pets anywhere else.

VCA has seen all of our dogs over the years. They have the best staff and are so caring! All the doctors are great and we have even recommended our friends to go there (they are patients now too!)

They have always taken excellent care of our cats and we have greatly appreciated their kindness during one of our most difficult visits. Currently they are implementing safety measures for the health of their staff and patrons to ensure that your pets stay up to date with their checkups. Thanks!

We boarded our cat here for the first time in his 8 years of life, and the care he received went above and beyond. Our cat was afraid to eat for the first few days but they were so patient and affectionate with him. They kept us updated on how he was doing and never made us feel like a nuisance for calling throughout the week. Thank you VCA!!

My family has taken our animals here for years. Our first animal here was the family dog that I grew up with, Bailey, who lived to be 18 or 19 years old. When the time came for the hard choice of having to put Bailey to sleep as she was no longer eating or taking water, every person that worked at VCA was so kind, empathetic and understanding of our grief. We were there with Bailey as a family when she was put to sleep. There was so much love and kindness that was in that room with us, not just from our family but from those people that had helped us take care of our dog through various battles for years. After a long time with no animals in the house, my mom had to take on another dog, Susanna-a goofy miniature schnauzer mix, because of the loss of a family member. Susanna made her remember why people have dogs in the first place, so then she decided to get a puppy, a very tiny, very rambunctious little maltipoo named Ruby. Ruby and Susanna are both patients at VCA, as well as the dog that I now have, Lulu-who I describe as my very hairy child. Every single person that works at VCA Sandy Lake, from the people at the front desk to the veterinarians, treat every animal that comes through those doors as they treat their own animals at home: with love, patience, and kindness. I won’t be taking Lulu anywhere else, and I can only hope that VCA will be taking care of her for another 20 years, just as they did with Bailey.

VCA Sandy Lake cared for our dog Kobe for 3 years. Vet services, grooming, boarding and lots of love! The staff were so sweet and always very attentive. Sadly, we moved from the area but VCA Sandy Lake is so amazing and we will miss them dearly. Kobe was treated like family there and we are forever grateful. Highly recommend VCA Sandy Lake!

Very attentive staff, very short wait time. Vet tech and vet listened carefully to my cat's medical history (reactions to shots) and tailored the shot regimen to it. Thorough exam; answered all my questions about overall health (and I'm a helicopter "cat mom," so there were a lot). Vet was compassionate and gentle--first time I've ever seen my cat not even flinch from a shot. And they were less expensive than other places in town. I'm new to town and didn't know where to go, but this was definitely the right choice!
