We are new customers and so far love this place!! We had a hard time finding a good fit for our boy because he’s a pittie. And a couple places we tried clearly neglected him, as he would come back defeated, scratched up, dirty, and dying for attention. One place said his hyper energy turned them off from wanting to play with him :(. He’s not a crazy dog, but I can imagine the more you coup up an animal, the more they’re desperate for play time. Coming back from Stoneridge he looked great, happy, and all the girls gushed over how much they loved him. It was clear they are animal people- pitties included! Highly recommend ????

They charge for everything 15min of cuddling$, to walk dog$, bath dog$$, plus $$$ for each day, my vet is Dr. Kerry. My husband said after she referred us that they tried to have us switch to there vet. Nice on phone tech was rude.

They treat your pet as if they are one of their own... very clean, professional, and "human".

Koda the Great Pyrenees stayed a week at Stone Ridge. He is a really sensitive breed and didn't want to eat. I really appreciated that the staff watched over him so closely. The vet emailed me back and fourth to check in, they tried different foods and a kind receptionist even kept him up front with her for the day. There was a whole crew saying bye to him when he left. Thank you all taking extra care of Koda!

despicable. brought cat in for fleas, he was groomed, and still crawling with fleas when we got him back. when confronted, the company refused to accept any responsibility and essentially wanted proof that the cat still had fleas when we got him back after being groomed. 100/10 would not recommend.

They were wonderful with my baby... I have boarded there, used the vet and had her groomed there...

Dog looks great. But I sure hope they treat the animal's better than they do the people. I have a feeling they dont though, since the first 10 minutes we were home, my dog did nothing but scarf down water. After being ignored at the door and left on hold for over 10 minutes, I'm ready to go elsewhere.

Chris did an AMAZING job training our rambunctious 8 month old Standard Poodle. We chose the 3 week “board and train” package and couldn’t be happier with the decision. We now have a fully trained dog and a solid foundation to build from. It was really nice to get weekly updates and videos from Chris on our dogs progress. The board and train package may seem pricey, but Chris is HANDS DOWN worth EVERY penny. The facility is clean and beautiful as well and the veterinary and other staff were nice and helpful too. Overall a great choice.

We came for the training and decided to switch to this place for vet services too. The Pet Resort is a Vet Hospital, boarding facility, groomer and dog training facility all-in-one. From the moment you walk in, it is apparent that all aspects of this business are top notch. Mr. Chris Hernandez is the on-site full time trainer. He offers several different training packages to match your needs and budget. We elected to do the board and train an intensive 3 week basic obedience class. Is it possible for the average person to train their own dog? Absolutely...but getting professional help from Chris will let you and your dog achieve far better results and much faster. I was able to teach my dog to sit, come and stay without professional help but what Chris does is take it to the next level...After three weeks with Chris, our 4 month old puppy is far more obedient than 98% of the adult dogs in our neighborhood. For example. I taught her to come (most of the time, especially with a treat or promise of affection), Chris taught her to come reliably...off leash...with distractions...at distance. Now she comes when I want her to not when she feels like it but its more accurate to say, she always wants to come when called. I taught her to sit on command...Chris taught her to sit until told otherwise - in our case, our 4 month old puppy will sit patiently in place for 45-60 minutes until she is released and it's taking basic commands to the next level of perfection that builds trust in the dog. Getting a dog to sit patiently, allows nervous strangers to come over, allows for me to accomplish chores without fending off the dog's playing and generally makes life for both of us easier and more rewarding. Necessary skills for times when distractions and failure to obey correctly and immediately could have dire consequences such as when you need to avoid an aggressive dog, you're dog ("SQUIREL!") gets loose and is near a street, you are hiking off leash and come across a deer. In addition to commands, Chris takes your dog to all sorts of places to experience new smells, sights and sounds and conditions your dog to behave when there are other animals, strange people. Take those examples and apply that level of conditioning to every command. Additionally, he teaches your dog, house and car manners and the sum total of all this training makes you more inclined to take your dog more places and have fun together safely. Is training cheap? No, but amortized over the life of the dog - well worth it. How do you put a price on obedience? I don't know but you can start with avoiding the cost of a Vet bill after being hit by a car because your dog didn't listen. (Pro-tip: If you board and train, you get free tech support for the life of the dog and when you board your dog and PR@SR, Chris will work with your dog as a refresher and address any little problems that come up after graduating the basic class.) After your dog has been taught, Chris teaches you how to continue reinforcing the commands and not sabotaging yourself or the training when you get home. If you are on the fence, call the Vet and ask to speak with Chris - he will make an appointment and you can get your dog evaluated for free, very laid back, no pressure - he'll just answer your questions and tell you how he can help.

My wife and I use Stone Ridge for all of our veterinary needs. While doing our yearly checkup and shots for our 1year old American Bulldog Zeus I inquired about dog training since all the other trainers refused to take Zeus in since hes not neutered. Mrs. PJ stated they had just brought on a trainer and would be offering classes soon. I was given Chris Hernandez's personal phone number and gave him a call. I would say within the first 5 minutes of speaking with Mr. Hernandez I knew he was the trainer we needed. The size and stubbornness of Zeus made him a difficult case for training but Chris was able utilize the tools and skills he had to mold Zeus a dog of a lifetime. Throughout the 3 week board and train I was in constant communication with Mr. Hernandez on the progress and issues he was having with Zeus. I recieved numerous pictures and videos of the training inside the facility and out in the public. Before the three week training Zeus had little to no manors in public. He wanted to greet and meet everyone we may have come upon. Which at 125lbs can be quiet tiresome for the one handling gim and intimidating for the ones he wants to greet. After the training we are able to take Zeus with us anywhere that welcomes dogs. He heels with a loose leash, sits and lays down on the first command and holds the command and does not break it until released. He is so much calmer around the house and respectful of a person's personal space. The costs of this training is well worth it in my honest opinion. Not having to worry about the behavior of our large pup has lessened the stress on us which makes his life just that much better. Thank you Chris for the amazing job training Zeus! The Emmons Family

I am so glad they started a training program! And grateful it included private lessons for YOU and your pet! Chris has a great way with the dogs, and is great at giving the owner the right instruction to be successful, he was confident in his skills and allowed my 11 year old son to train his dog. 5 weeks later they are both better! Highly recommend.

Just picked up our 11 month old white lab after 3 weeks of training with Chris. He was wild when we left him could hardly hold the leash in the lobby. Picked up today and Chris turned him into a calm obedient lab. My one fear is that he might lose his personality but he is back home and the same dog but minds now. Great Job Chris and I would recommend your training to anyone that is thinking about it. Everyone at THE PET RESORT was 5 stars. Thanks Again.

Chris is an amazing dog trainer! My cRaZy dog, Koda, is so well behaved now. Chris taught my dog obedience while still maintaining his fun loving personality. Koda can now have fun out in public because he is so well behaved. I would highly recommend Chris to train any dog!

I took my four month old Doberman puppy to the three week board and train obedience training with Chris Hernandez at the Stone Ridge Pet Resort/Vet Clinic in October. My puppy had every negative behavior you can think of and a lot of strength and energy. I was hesitant to leave him but without reservation this was the absolute best decision! Chris is an incredible trainer. He has such an ease and calm about him and he’s very intuitive. It’s also very apparent he loves his job and his students. His training has changed our quality of life. We now have a pup that can be taken anywhere and is trustworthy in any situation. Chris tailored the training to our lifestyle and wishes and accomplished everything we asked for and more. He also gave us the skills to continue and expand the training at home. Chris was always responsive, articulate and professional. Additionally the other staff was just as amazing and attentive and the facility is immaculately kept.

We have been super pleased with Diesel's training. He did the board and train and it went great. Chris was super helpful and kept us updated on Diesel's progress throughout the training. We are so glad that we did it. Chris has also been in touch since the training was over following up and checking on Diesel.

My husband and I picked up our sheltie named Blue today from Stone Ridge. He attended the three week board and train and we are amazed! Chris did an astounding job turning this little ball of energy around. He has given us the tools to further his training at home and we are confident that he will be with us for any further needs we may have. We cannot say enough about Chris. He sent pictures and videos daily and we would highly recommend him. The staff was wonderful and we hope to become regular patrons of Stone Ridge. We are so excited to bring Blue to doggie daycare!! Thank you Chris!

Our dog Ellie loves this place! She looks forward to doggy daycare every morning. We have a border collie that is 9 months old now and we've been bringing her to Dr. Pettyjohn since she was 8 weeks old. The staff at Stone Ridge is incredible and the facility is extremely clean and nice. There is no doubt that Dr. Pettyjohn and her team really care about the pets in their care. Kendra, Micah, Michelle, Matt and Nancy are very professional and always willing to go above and beyond for us. We have boarded Ellie several times when we had to go out of town and we never worried about whether she was being taken care of. We highly recommend this facility for any of your pet needs. Thank you to everyone at Stone Ridge for everything you do!

This is hands down the best place for boarding and daycare. I have taken my dog to Stone Ridge since they opened in the fall and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is friendly and they really care about your pet. My dog is always exhausted after a day of daycare which is so nice. Stone Ridge is top notch!

Stone Ridge Pet Resort staff was amazing!!! You could tell that they are true animal people-- they were so friendly and kind. Stone Ridge Pet Resort is clean and inviting. Definitely, the cleanest facility I've ever seen!! They are very professional and are owned by one of the BEST Vet practices in the area!! This gives me peace of mind knowing if my dogs have any problems, there are qualified vets to take care of them. That's definitely a plus to me. I could not imagine leaving our Poodles anywhere else. Thank you, Stone Ridge Veterinary/ Pet Resort of Conroe for all you do!!!!!
