Do not take if you have big dogs! We were hoping to find a daycare for our dog Woody (Labrador retriever) who is about to turn 10 months. He cant go to playgroup at his current daycare as he is not neutered and we are waiting until 18 months to neuter. This daycare has webcams which is nice, but literally there were only 3 big dogs. When i picked woody up, the staff notified me that woody was put away because he kept trying to play with the other dogs (its daycare...). As soon as he got in the car he peed for a good 30 seconds which he never does....That indicates to me that at some point in the day they left him in a room and did not take him to pee until i picked him up. This was incredibly upsetting to me and thank goodness the day was a free trial because we will not be going back.

Excellent service with great price

When we picked our dog up he was very sick and covered in vomit. Do not bring your pet here if you love them.

I have a dog that went here and he returned sick. Just because I did not elaborate on my poor experience does not mean I have never been here.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO PREPPY PET FOR ANY REASON. NOT FOR GROOMING, BOARDING & DEFINITELY NOT FOR DAYCARE. MY DOG WAS BITTEN. THE OWNER MADE MULTIPLE EXCUSES AS TO WHY THEY DIDNT CALL TO INFORM ME. ALL OF THEM WERE UNACCEPTABLE! SHE LIED ON HIM SAYING HE IS DOG AGGRESSIVE. THATS FALSE! SHE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. THERE WAS NO TECH IN THE ROOM. THE OWNERS EXCUSE WAS THAT THE MAJORITY OF HER STAFF WAS OUT WITH COVID. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. 0/10. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Our family had to evacuate from Louisana due to hurricane Ida. While driving to the Houston area we made several calls to various pet boarding facilities to see if they had available boarding and to see if they were willing to stay open late to accommodate our two dogs once we arrived. This facility was the only one near the I-10 area close to where we were going to spend our time here in Houston that had offered to assist us with our pet boarding needs. Our trip to the Houston area usually takes 5-6 hours but his time due to the evacuation of many, the trip took us 22 HOURS. During this log trip we stayed in contact with the owner and she assured us that she'll come to the site once we arrive not matter what time it was to take our dogs for boarding. Once we arrived, 9 pm, we were surprised how well our dogs took to the owner. Our dogs are not the friendliest and for them to come to her was pure relief knowing they were in good hands. During the stay she allowed us to come in to visit them anytime we wanted to see them. The place was always clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. Always willing to help and offer recommendations throughout the area during our stay. We finally picked them up yesterday after nearly a three week stay. Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job with our difficult dogs and for working with us during this difficult time. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a safe place for your furry friend.

Boarded both our dogs and had the full service bath package. The nails were barely trimmed and the upper nail was slightly split. The nails were supposed to be filed smooth and are rough. Will not get this service again. Weary of using this place again for boarding.

Have used many other places and this is by far the best. They really do care about their customers and their pets. Seeing how excited my boys get when we pull up their driveway confirms it.

I had an acquaintance whose dog died due to their negligence.

Boarded my two dogs for the first time during Labor Day weekend and I was so nervous as I had never left them anywhere before. Kaitlyn the receptionist assured me they would be just fine . She showed me the room they were boarding in and told me I could call as often as I wanted to check on them. She even offered to send me pics and videos of them. Getting daily pics and videos made it so much easier for me to relax and enjoy my weekend getaway. I am so glad that I found a place where I can leave them and not have to worry at all. I am already planning my next trip.

I moved out of Houston earlier this year, so I wasn’t originally going to post this review, since I was moving soon anyways. But upon reflection, I realized it was my responsibility to inform people about what a horrible facility this is. Absolutely terrible. It’s highly likely they abuse animals here, primarily through neglect, but sometimes the they will choke dogs — I’m assuming this is mostly the groomers. (I have talked to multiple other customers, apparently this has happened fairly often to many different dogs.) Oh, the staff insist they have no idea how it happened, but my vet and I know better. “Oh the dog came in like that” is their go-to excuse, which is funny, because my dog wears a chest harness, not a leash. They also don’t contact veterinary care or even the owners when an animal is injured in their care. Currently looking into which regulatory boards I should be reporting this facility to. (Posting review under a pseudonym, of course, because I have no desire to be dragged into their shady business practices.)

We have been using Preppy pets for several years. Unfortunately, their services have deteriorated to the point where I’m done. My husband picked up our dogs today (3 of them), and they brought out the wrong dog. The “new” manager was clueless and her explanation was unacceptable.

My dog Sir has been going to daycare here since the establishment opened (6 days a week) he LOVES it - it’s like a second home for him, ; the staff takes very good care of him; he gets groomed here and also boards here-I don’t have to worry about him when I’m out of the area - the front staff and techs are very polite and courteous- Thanks Laura

Was able to get our dog in at the last minute for a holiday weekend. The exterior looks a little rough and aged, but we hoped that was only a cosmetic gripe. We paid 10 extra to allow him to have playtime with the other dogs. We called repeatedly on July 4th and it appeared they were closed and no one would answer. We picked him up the next day and his smell was horrific. I believe they didn't take him out and he sat in his own urine for days. I have kenneled my other dog at other places and have never had her come back with that kind of smell. Price was affordable, but not somewhere I would take him again.

The place reeked of urine coming in the door and my dog smelled as well when getting in the car having only been here for 26 hrs.

After a week of vacation I came to pick up my dog and he looked like he lost 5 pounds. He looked like a sack of bones, and he smelled terrible. He was dehydrated and took a 5 hour nap when we got home. I’m disappointed, and will not be leaving my dog here ever again.

Ms. Joanna is the best groomer in my pet's life. Her gentle hand & her pet handling skills are excellent. She does great with my 64 lb dog. He acts like a puppy in her hands.

My dog is a Preppy Pet! He's been going here for daycare, boarding and grooming for about 3 years now. I love the convenience of dropping him off and getting him back clean and tired. I recently tried the de-shed treatment and it worked wonders on my dog's shedding. They have live feed cameras in the daycare so you can watch your pup play all day. Professional, kind and friendly staff. Clean, well-managed facilities. But my favorite part are the holiday activities, one time my dog came home with a paw print Valentine's day card! It was the sweetest pick me up after a long hard day at work and it's these small things that show Preppy Pet really does love and care for the animals. Highly recommend.

Had an appt for groom. At 830am . Brought him at 8am. At 1 almost 3pm i get a call saying they are not able to groom my dog. Long story short they werent able to groom him showered him tho. She said he would have to come back another day and be the 1st appt. Im like uhm. Ok i was there at 8am so not sure what they consider 1st appt when i was there early as can be. Fir a 1st time i was not happy. I know some dogs are difficult but thats what you are trained for i suppose in this career. He has been groomed before and this was the 1st i hear he was unable to be groom. Btw im new to the area moved from florida so this is my 1st time in a tx pet groomers.

My sweetie baby dog gets beautiful after she gets her bath and haircut there. They really worry about them even when I don't like to be told about her hair being mat. Great service.

WORST PLACE FOR YOUR DOG. If you love your babies do not take them here. They have no record of when they dog go out to potty or at least they won't show you, therefore you don't know if they even did. My vet and I still to this day don't know what they did to my dogs, because they have not been the same since then

Disappointing. I left work early to make it within the time frame the website listed. I denied due to them starting to clean early. I was actually touring with a coworker who was going to enroll her pups as well. We both were reject and treated like "oh well maybe next time". I travel alot and will need a daycare, THIS IS NOT IT. No other place I've visited left us feeling unwanted or not wanting our business. Which make me feel like I've dodged a bullet with this place.

My puppy Benzie has been going to this daycare since he was 13 weeks. He is now 5 months. He loves the staff and I do too. The entire staff is so professional and nice. I can’t express how easy it was to sign him up. With me being a first time dog mom I was nervous, to leave him there. Now I drop him off and keep rolling lol!

I have taken my dog here several times. Some of my vacation time has been used to check on him during playtime. He smelled wonderful after his bath for about a week.

Preppy Pet has gotten to know my fur baby so well! I've been coming here for close to 7 years. He's actually excited to go! My first visit they let me walk around and tour the entire facility. My baby has been boarded and groomed here, but they also have doggy day care available.

Boarded my doodle pup here for 3 nights and he loved it. He was able to go to day care during the day to play with other dogs. And got a bath a groom before he left and he looked perfect.
