Have taken all my pets to Tara since moving to the Mid-Cities 4 years ago. They are always so thorough, responsive and professional. I know my fur babies are in good hands with them.

We are recently new to the area and when looking for a good vet, some friends recommended Tara. I’m so glad we came— we have been very pleased with Dr. Schoonover who has now seen both of our beloved pups and we can tell she is very thorough, good with animals, and friendly. She took the time to answer all of our questions! I also liked how she wanted to divide up the vaccines that our youngest dog was due for, rather than giving them all at once, (and of course they didn’t charge us an office visit for bringing her back in for those last shots). We received a welcome card and little dog toy in the mail, too. Oh, I loved they called a couple of days after the office visits to see how the dogs were doing and to ask if we had any questions. We’re very pleased with all we’ve experienced there so far!

I am fostering a dog who suddenly became violently ill. We called several places, including our personal vet, and this was the only clinic that would take him in on very short notice. Everyone on the staff was so friendly, understanding, and accommodating. I was panicked, but they handled everything amazingly and I am so glad they were the ones who could help him get better. I would highly, highly recommend Tara Animal Hospital.

I've been going to Tara for over 20 years and wouldn't take my dogs anyplace else. I moved and it's now a 45 minute drive, and worth every minute. I ❤ these ladies! They have cured, diagnosed, laughed and cried with me. They are very special.

We have trusted Tara Animal Hospital with all of our pets since 1988. We have had only great experiences with not only the knowledge and services from them, but also their readily apparent caring for the animals they treat. They will spend the time to diagnose effectively, explain clearly and treat expertly. We have experience with each the four doctors currently part of Tara, and have consistent praise for them all. We have found all of the office staff and technicians to be helpful and friendly even as Covid-19 continues to stretch their capabilities and procedures.

Been going to Tara for most pets throughout my life! Parents took them here, and naturally the trust builds and you take your own pets later in life based on that! :) Shout out to Beth (admin) for dealing with us pet owner worry worts. She is so great at talking with people and getting you scheduled. She talks to you like family! Sadly, as our fur babies have gotten older they have done a great job to help ease quality of life till its time. That really meant a lot as its hard to make that call. They stay kind and patient and I can’t say how much that means to us. Thank you Doctors, Staff, and clerical for always working with us. We appreciate you!!

Until the 19th, I had 4 French Bulldogs. My eldest one died on Sunday. Tara Animal Hospital has been my go to Vet for the past 18 years. The Vets and their staff have always been professional and caring in ways that count.

We have taken our fur babies to Tara Animal Hospital for 17 years. All of the doctors and staff members care so much about our pets. We love everyone there!

Tara animal hospital has been great for our routine pet care, but they are also great with emergency situations and helping to decide what should be done within these situations. Not only are they there during these situations, but they follow up everytime to find out if our dogs are still doing okay with the treatment prescribed! We will continue to go here! We have really enjoyed getting to work with Dr. Sims recently, but all staff have been great!

The vets, techs, and staff at Tara Animal Hospital are totally wonderful. Their commitment to the well-being of our fur babies is beyond belief as well as their compassion to the owners of the fur babies. They took care of my two beloved dogs for years and were there for me when they each passed. (A personal thanks to Dr. Sims!) The staff is so friendly and welcoming! I really appreciate on short notice how they were willing to see our dog when he was sick. Dr. Woods was very detailed in diagnosing what was wrong with our dog. She explained the tests run and was so kind in answering all of our questions! Thanks Tara Animal Hospital! You are the best!

Very knowledgeable and caring doctors and staff.

The vets and staff at Tara Animal hospital go above and beyond to care for your pets. We have been going there for 13+ years and they have flawlessly cared for our pets with emergencies numerous times. The extended hours and shot clinics help when schedules are difficult. They have a drop off policy if you need to get your pet in and cannot make a scheduled visit. Drop off, they work the pet in and call you to pick up your pet. With four vets who all practice Vet medicine similarly and complement each other with specialized skills you can't find a better animal hospital.

Definitely the best veterinary clinic I've ever taken a pet to. They are extremely knowledgeable, and their calm compassion helps keep our dog Max a lot more relaxed and steady than the last clinic we went to.

Tara Animal Hospital has been my vet for probably 15 years or more. They are all great from the receptionist, to the vet techs to the doctors. I have had great professional response from any questions that I have had over the years. They are very accommodating to get you a appointment as soon as they can. We have been a customer for close to 20yrs and were big fans up until our latest visit which was a little over a Month ago [could be longer] i kept tossing the idea of whether i should post a review or not but the more i thought about it the more aggravated i became. On our last visit we were instructed to take our 11yr old fur baby off her current meds because we were told by Tara that they were just making her be in a better mood? [never understood that comment] and not helping and even though her labs came back good and showing no organ damaged we were instructed to replace her meds with meds 5x more expensive meds which we cannot afford and the fact she gets diarrhea every time she took them. We are in the middle of a pandemic and very shaky job market and this is how we were instructed to deal with our fur babies health issue, very disappointed!!

Quick, easy, minimal stress, & wallet friendly. You can pay for things ahead of time on their website and it's not specific to location. Pay the same price for all locations. Spend most of your waiting in your vehicle until they call your group up to the door to wait there. Minimal stress on the animals. Great prices. Very friendly. You get to stay with your animal the whole time (with the exception of surgeries). No surprise costs. You know exactly how much you'll pay before they do anything.

Wonderful place to take your furbaby. We had our Kitty, Ziggy, neutered. They called and let us know as soon as he was out of surgery and followed up for several days after. The staff and Doctors are wonderful.
