My pup has been going there since he was 7 weeks. They are very engaged with his life and health in general which makes More feel comfortable he's on good hands. Bodi seems to enjoy the visit as well.

I've been taking my dogs here for years. Their staff is wonderful. I've had to have them help 2 of our furbabies cross the ???? bridge. Their compassion is so appreciated at such a heart breaking time.

My girl, Luna, had chronic ear infections since February 2020. We knew she had a mass. I had it biopsied: benign. Multiple treatments, anti fungals, antibiotics, food changes, labs and a surgical consult (they said $10,000 for imaging and a total ear canal ablation). Dr. Homburg was my 3rd opinion about 3 months ago. She removed the mass and stalk with a little sedation: $600. No complications and finally infection free!!! My sweet Luna feels so much better!! Highly recommend hill country vet. Dr. Homburg is down to earth, skilled, honest… she is THE BEST vet. Thank you!!!!!

I have had two emergencies with my pup. Each time I was in need of emergent care and the staff here were ALWAYS attentive, accommodating, and took the best care of my boy. I am grateful to Dr. Erin, Dr. Sandell, Dr. Davis and the ENITRE team... they are thee BEST!!

Erin and her team came to the rescue when my dog suddenly started having seizures. I was in a panic, but Erin was incredible in walking me through options and establishing an immediate plan of action. The team was so accommodating and got me into an early appointment. They acted with an extreme sense of urgency and helped put my worries at ease. My dog is doing very well a month and a half later and I am thankful to this team as they treat my animals as if they were their own.

Dr. Erin and her team are the best! They take excellent care of ours pets and have for years. Everyone there truly loves animals, and it shows. I would recommend them to anyone.

Every time I’ve taken my dog in, they seem to find as many ways to boost the bill as possible. They recommend preventatives and treatments that are nice but not critical. I repeatedly ask about cost and get vague answers. Then when it’s time to check out, the bill is twice what was expected. This last time I asked for an estimate and the staff Lauren said it would be $150 max. When I checked out the total was almost $400. When I asked to return the preventatives she turned from very friendly to very grumpy. After being a customer for over a year I decided we’re better off finding a nicer vets office.

Dr. Holmburg gave us the gift of being able to say goodbye to our beloved pet as a family during the pandemic at the backyard of her clinic. Compassion at it's best! She has since has taken care of all our dogs????????????

Despite the crazy snow, dangerous roads and intermittent power outages I appreciate the fact that you still opened your business up to help my sick pup and other patients. The emergency vets had 8 hour waits and were to far to drive to considering the conditions. Even connecting us with a neighboring vet to try and get an X-ray since your power went out- doing all you could to help my pup. The BEST vet office I have visited in this area. I had a few bad experiences with other places. So glad I found Hill Country! All the doctors are great, but i was extremely pleased with Dr Berdan today! The staff is friendly and helpful always! And I feel they are budget friendly, and give.quality service all the time!

Thanks soooo sooo much for keeping my sweet Mimosa alive when i brought her to you guys all sick!!! Even during covid these remarkable people brought my brand new puppy back to health after she contracted giardia! It was so hard having to drop her off and not be present during her examination but they called me from the exam room and explained everything over the phone to me while i was in the parking lot!

I love Dr Erin and her staff. My dog has anxiety about getting her nails trimmed and their staff knows just what to do to make it painless and worryfree.

I can't say enough nice things about Hill Country Veterinary Hospital. During Covid times things are hard enough to hand over your fur babies, but you can be sure the staff and Docs care about your babies. Recently, we had one of our babies get sick and our regular vet was not available. After running blood tests, it turned out he was in end stage renal failure. After much discussion we decided we would take a few days and keep him comfortable at home and research options for end of life. We decided that we would let Hill Country handle the procedure. Because of Covid they handle it outdoors so the family can be there. They went above and beyond for our baby and our family. Nothing was rushed, and everything was with the our Buddy and our family in mind. Even behind their masks you could even feel the emotion and caring in the staff. We had them handle all the cremation details. We now had a new vet closer to home. We've since brought our other baby Masey for some other issues. I still can't say enough nice things about this staff. As for cost, remember that the cost of vet school is not cheap add in the standards that as a vet hospital they must keep to pass certifications, and all the medical equipment they must have. If cost is an issue let them know. You get what you pay for, we used to travel further to a lower cost vet that did not require blood tests. That said I can't wait to meet the Docs and staff in a regular non masked environment.

We recently had an addition to our family and have started used Hill Country for our veterinary needs. During this pandemic they’ve found a way to keep my family feeling safe and have been great at scheduling and rescheduling appointments (when I can’t make it). They are my go to veterinary hospital now and highly recommend them!

I have an older, diabetic dog who was prescribed a very specific dog food to try and get her blood sugar regulated, as insulin alone has not been consistent. After calling vets and pet stores around the area Hill Country Vet Hospital was the only place with the food in stock. They actually refused to sell it to me, even though I have a prescription for it from a specialist vet. I explained that I've already called the big box store she suggested and that they don't carry it either, they still refused to sell it to me, stating that the owner only sells prescription dog food to patients of our facility. I can't think of a more clear statement indicating that this place couldn't care less about the health of your pet. They only care about the green in your wallet. If i could give zero stars, I would. I'm pretty sure that the diabetic specialist vet is much more qualified to determine what food my dog should be eating than whomever owns this place. Now I have to figure out a way to get through the next few days without buying a $30 bag of her old prescription food just to toss out once the new food arrives by mail order. Thanks for nothing Hill Country. - Post reply edit - I have been purchasing prescription food from another local vet who is not my dog's vet for a while now. Two local vets have been willing to with prescriptions from another vet. Unfortunately, neither carry this new food. It's certainly possible that vets are classified differently by the state with regards to being able to sell prescribed foods. The way it was stated to me on the phone, verbatim was "the owner doesn't like" selling prescription food for a pet not being seen by Hill Country. That may not have been stated to me correctly, but I think one could understand my frustration when being told that. I rarely write reviews, but after spending all morning trying to find a vet or box store who carries the food locally, finally finding a vet with it in stock only to be told that I couldn't purchase it was upsetting to say the least.
