ONLY vet service that would deal with a stray cat i had that had a badly infected leg. They actually care about the animals that are brought in.

Very personable and friendly. The wait was a little longer than I expected but I was told up front, and it was Christmas Eve. Thank you the kind care you gave my kitty.

Nothing like having to find a vet on Christmas morning! This team was cheerful, diligent, and took excellent care of a cat with a UTI! Dr. Herd (hope I'm spelling that correctly) was solicitous and thoughtful, keeping both my cat's health and my budget in mind. She made sure we both had everything we needed to be comfortable and comforted through the holiday to then talk to our regular vet during business hours. The techs and front office staff were thorough and totally caring. Great place to have on a Christmas morning.

North Texas ER got our Shiloh in quick and on the mends right before we had to get home to family for Christmas. It was such a relief to get her feeling better.

called regarding my pet who was very recently suspected to be diabetic, needs blood work, & now can barely stand. ive been calling multiple places to try and get my pup in for most of my evening, so when i came across this clinic i figured i’d give it a shot. i completely understand that during the holiday season it gets extremely busy and long hours are worked, but the way sandy spoke to me while trying to gather information on their wait was disgustingly rude and insensitive. as a nurse, if that energy is also within the clinical staff i highly recommend you not come here.

They were very compassionate and understanding. The vet seemed like he genuinely cared and worked with me to find how to care for my cat without breaking the bank.

All the staff on duty when I brought in my fur baby on Dec. 5, were especially kind and thoughtful. They were very professional and sensitive in treating my little girl and they kept me informed and thoroughly explained the treatment given and what I would need to do to medicate my fur baby once I got home. I thank them all for helping in a very stressful situation.

I am totally disappointed with my visit. My dog started to ask to be out frequently on Thanksgiving morning, and it gradually became like every 30 minutes. We also observed reddish/pinkish color at least once on the urine before I gave him 100mg of nitrofurantoin, and a pill of AZO for comfort. The urge seemed to have eased. Then I took him to this clinic. The vet wanted to do a punctuation of the bladder to obtain urine for examination and an ultrasound to exclude kidney problem. The bill would be about $650. My dog is almost 15 years old and in the 6th month of cancer, and was very weak. I have no reason to put him through this. The vet then concluded that "Because there is currently no evidence of a UTI" (exact quote from her written words), she only gave the dog gabapentin for comfort and refused to give antibiotic. I am an older person and have seen many, many instances of UTI. The symptoms are all too familiar. At least the vet could have given antibiotic and said if it didn't work then there might be kidney problem or something else to check out. It wouldn't do much harm! Generally antibiotic stops the acute symptoms in only a few hours, and that would confirm the UTI. I was surprised that she would leave an acute UTI without treatment. The vet also said one major concern about nitrofurantoin was it would cause "mulit-drug resistance". I responded on the spot that I didn't see that in the literature. I searched afterwards and still don't see it. Even Merck's Veterinarian Manual has the drug for dog UTI. For a 15 year old dog with cancer, how should antibiotic drug resistance has any weight in her decision? The vet should go back to her school. By the way, the UTI was in the end cured by nitrofurantoin!

Everyone was very kind and helpful and I didnt have to wait. The vet that took care of my dog didnt push any extra procedures, tests, or scans like some places do. Also, he gave my dog proper pain management, which other places i have been to forget sometimes. I can tell they really care about the well being pets.

We went here on 11/14 and the entire staff was simply amazing. Our dog required emergency surgery after being attacked by a much larger dog. They took care of our doggy as if she were their own. We were treated with respect and made sure we fully understood any follow up care. I can't say enough good things about them! Im happy to report our little girl is on the mend and expected to make a full recovery.

This is the best emergency vet clinic ever. They remember me and my cat because his UTI issues are bad. They treat us like family but always say we hate having to see him for this so much. They love him but they just hate that we need emergency. They are the greatest staff and worth it. I will drive farther than needed to go there. My cat likes them the most!

Absolutely DO NOT recommend coming here, was having an emergency with my pet and they told me there would be a 2-3 hour wait because they had ONE pet inside the clinic. What am I supposed to do? Wait 3 hours when my dog is having an emergency???? Went to the emergency animal hospital of Collin county instead and they checked me in and saw my dog in less than 10 minutes. Rather go there instead.

This past weekend was a crazy one for pet emergencies. I was turned away from another place closer to my house due to being at full capacity. These guys were busy too, but they got us in immediately and helped my boy. So grateful for their prompt treatment and genuine care.

I have used North Texas emergency vet clinic on several occasions. Most recently my 11-year-old boxer mix had a bloat and torsion of her spleen and stomach. Our normal vet did the surgery but right at the end of the day so without blinking an eye North Texas did her full surgical recovery for me and kept her overnight, balanced her blood pressure and fluids and pain medicines and kept her stable at a time I know can be very dangerous for a dog in that position - especially an older one. Every single staff member was understanding and caring. We’ve gone there in the past with other pet emergencies and they’ve always been attentive and fast. It can be expensive of course but it’s worth every penny and I never bat an eye at the bill because I know they really work hard for my pets

Attentive and thorough. Caring. We couldn’t understand the hugely long wait but after being in a room for well over an hour someone finally came to tell us they had an emergency that required all hands on deck. I can appreciate this but it seems to me that at least one person could have popped in sooner for a few seconds to let us know. We couldn’t even step out because there was no way to get back in without going through an intercom interview. Still, I was satisfied with the service and my dog has rapidly improved.

We were seen very quickly and received excellent care from Dr. Bridges and his staff. They took care of our baby and my panicked self. 10/10 recommend.

The staff and doctors always go above and beyond to make sure that my fur babies are taken care of. They always make that I understand our treatment options. The clinic is always clean and I feel safe visiting at 3am. Trust me...I have visited several times within the past couple of years and my experience has always been the same.

The staff was very nice and polite, however, there was no sense of urgency. I do understand that this is a pet emergency center, however, it felt like we got the short end of the stick. We authorized our dog to get pain medication and when the doctor came in 45 minutes later, she let us know it had just been given a few minutes ago. After, we were told that they were going to monitor her and get her vitals 10 minutes later and discharge her. After 30 minutes, we heard the staff saying her discharge information was not input and her vitals had not been taken yet. Again, we do understand that this is an emergency hospital and things come up, especially with a small staff, but it seemed like we weren’t a priority at all. We also saw 2 people/pets who got there after us, leave before us as well, which was highly disappointing considering how long we had been there. Our visit in total was 4 hours.

Dr. Gruben and his staff were very accommodating and understanding. Dr. Gruben answered my questions as best he could given his limited information. I would take my Doxie there again though hope that's not necessary!

Thank you so much for figuring out how to treat Heisen. He had been fine since we got him a month and a half ago and then all of a sudden had a high fever and was shaking and sleeping and not eating. He's only about three months old so it had been even scarier for his little body, but I called and told the techs what was happening and we were seen within thirty minutes. He was treated and then we went home. Sadly, the med didn't work for him (NOT the vet's fault, some meds don't work for certain kitties) and we came back the next day. The new meds work great and he is fever-free, eating on his own, getting up, using the bathroom, etc. If not for you we could've lost our second cat in a week, after losing one to kidney disease this past Monday we were so happy we could bring Heisen home to his twin brother Ethan and keep everyone happy and healthy. Still on the mend of course for Heisen, but each hour has been better than the last. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GUYS! I was in and out within 2 hours after his treatments were completed, your techs treated my little baby like your own and your vets were compassionate and kind. (The photo below is Ethan cuddling as the big spoon for Heisen after Heisen was finally starting to feel better.) Thank your staff again, it was so nice to have an ER vet care so much!

At 3:00am on Monday morning my dog, Molly Grace had to have help. She was coughing and hacking continually. I called and Brandy/Brandi was very helpful and understanding. Dr. Jacci saw Molly almost immediately upon our arrival. She quickly grasped the situation. Molly was given a shot to knock down the coughing. Additionally pharmaceuticals were prescribed and dispensed.

Our dog had ripped apart her incision stiches and was uncomfortable. We called some other places but they told us 8-10 hours waiting period. We called North Texas Emeegency clinic and they took her in right away. They explained everything clearly and told us what we needed to do after we bring her home. We want to thank the whole staff for their urgency and care towards our puppy.
