Best place in DFW for bird toys, hands down. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. It appears that they take very good care of the birds they breed, sell, and board.

Great store, very clean, birds are healthy and happy. We purchased 2 birds and could not be happier. this store is a must for new bird owners and veterans alike. would give 6 stars if i could.

Better to buy from a bird fair or breeder on birdsnow.com. I can't recommend this shop. I'm extremely disappointed with the purchase of the parrotlet I bought from them. There is something something wrong with it emotionally. Maybe it was traumatized or a bullied runt of the litter but he is not a normal parrotlet. When I called to ask about the available parrotlets the manager was VERY unhelpful and refused to comment on the birds personality just saying they were too young to have a personality. I think she just didn't want to admit she never handled them. The staff also didn't want to comment out of fear of her. He rarely makes a noise or plays with toys. He just stays on the same perch all day long. I've had a parrotlet before and recently adopted a second and they both acclimated fairly quickly and were always lively. Not this one from Kookaburra. Very helpful staff! Raising their own baby birds, can be prepurchased weeks before they are weaned to go home with you. Fair prices!

No doubt that they are knowledgeable about birds….. Visited the store 10/2 and the gentleman behind the counter was nothing but condescending and made sure he pointed out everything we we doing wrong from cage, having a fully flighted bird, playstand and training. I told him we would love to bring our bird in for training but unfortunately we live 3 hours away. Left very disappointed, we were just shopping for a new cage, food, toy and he treated us like we were idiots. Yes we are new bird owners but wow!

When I was a kid, up to now being an adult, I always wanted a bird. That being said, I went here to see the birds and hold them. The staff was so rude because I wasn't buying anything at the time. I was actually going to buy a bird, but when I came in to see the birds and to see which one I would connect with they were just so rude. I dont understand what's wrong with the staff. If you have a bird shop expect people wanting to see the birds and hold them. This is the only way to see which ones you connect with. Sheesh!

I stopped by when traveling through, and holy cow is it expensive. I don’t know if birds and supplies are just that much more in Dallas than okc or what. To put it into perspective, I have bourkes myself that I purchased directly from breeders at different bird fairs for $100 and lutino bourkes for $125. These guys were charging $425 for the lutino! And I think he said $375 for a regular. Crazy! But hey if people pay it then that’s on them! I did not have problem of bad customer service that the other reviews mention, the guy was pretty friendly.

Been going here since I was a kid in the 90s. They're careful not to encourage impulse buying. It's a great place to learn about new birds. They have diy supplies to make your own toys.

I wish they had more than 5 stars for a rating. AWESOME experience with Chris who took EXCELLENT care of my Sun Conure this morning. Its always a risk when taking your baby to someone new for the first time. Chris answered all my questions professionally and politely and again took awesome care of my Mango in getting his claws and wings clipped. Because of Chris.... I am a Kookaburra customer for life!!!!!!

Baby birds are hand feed it takes a while for the birds to get used to you, a bit on the pricey side, and when they sell you the bird they want to sell you the food ,they feed them. These birds are 100% better then a cheap pet store ( white bird from here) kookaburra shop
