There couldn't be a better place in the whole Denton County to bring your furry little loved ones. I've been going here for 5+ years with my cat. The professionalism and love they treat each cat is something you will not find anywhere else. They truly love every animal that comes through those doors. These are the loving people you want to look after your family.

Great experience with the Dr. and wonderful tech; however the receptionist always seems put out to do anything *every* time she answers the phone. She isn't shy to make it known either. The receptionist is a customer's first impression of a business and can taint the whole experience. If you own a business, you should have friends call to check how they get treated.

Dr. Whissen and her staff are incredibly kind and can be very helpful. They have done a great job with covid protocols and are very responsive most of the time to email and phone calls. However, we did not have a great experience over the course of the year we have spent with this cat hospital. Our cat had been to a vet previously who was very casual about his chronic issues. We came to Dr. Whissen since she specializes in cats hoping to get a more engaged and informative diagnosis. While initially that seemed to be where things were going, that level of engagement with his case dropped off pretty quickly. As his issues continued and even worsened we were told to keep giving him steroids and gabapentin and we were also told, by Dr. Whissen that she simply didn't know what was going on with some of his various issues. While that was the primary problem, not having a diagnosis for the entirety of our time working with this vet, the secondary problem was that as he gained additional symptoms (weight loss, hair and skin changes) it was apparent that something else was wrong. No additional tests were ordered to address these issues even after I pointed them out. After finally being referred to another vet to do more extensive testing, one of the simple initial tests revealed that he is now diabetic, explaining his new symptoms that were ignored by this vet. In sum, I completely get when a patient's issues tip over into being outside the experience of the practitioner, but it is unacceptable to let those issues that you cannot explain or diagnose, linger for a year until getting our kitty the help he actually needs. It is also unacceptable to be introduced to new symptoms and do no additional testing. He lost 4 lbs under her care (a third of his weight, a lot for a cat) and no additional testing was done to try to get to the bottom of this new and very common issue (diabetes.) We're working with another vet to get to the bottom of his more complex issues, but I will not be returning to this vet after the huge miss of not engaging with his new symptoms or helping with long term treatment plans.

This hospital has an expert and very compassionate staff. I called in distress to make a last-minute appointment for my cat. Our usual cat hospital was closed that day, and I knew my cat was very sick, but I didn't know where to go. Hebron was the nearest cat hospital that was open. I told them it would take me half an hour to get there, and they said okay--which is to say, they told me my appointment was scheduled for the minute I could get there. That in itself was so generous. But then there was traffic, I took a wrong turn, and it actually took me an hour to get there. Still, the staff wasn't irritated with me for being an inconvenience. Just a few minutes after I arrived, the vet came out to my car and said that based on the symptoms I described, my cat needed to go to straight to an emergency clinic. She brought out pamphlets and explained my options, essentially gifting us her time and expertise. I had been trying to avoid an ER because I was sure it would be extremely expensive and low-quality care--I've only ever heard bad things about veterinary emergency clinics-- but the vet at Hebron told me which ones would be the most expensive and which would offer the best care. She recommended a clinic in Frisco that turned out to be wonderful and very reasonably priced. I got him over there right away, and they saved his life. When I called Hebron, I knew my cat was in bad shape, but I didn't know that he wouldn't have made it to morning. I'm glad the vet at Hebron told me how urgent his case was. Even though my cat has never been a patient at Hebron Cat Hospital, they went out of their way to make time for us, recognized how serious his condition was, and knew where to send us. My cat is alive and recovering today because of their generosity and patience. If my cat ever needs urgent care again, I'll know which ER to take him to. And the next time we need an appointment on a day our regular vet is closed, I am going to call Hebron.

After an awful visit to Plantation Pet Health Center I decided to go see Dr. Whissen at Hebron Cat Hospital, she is an amazing vet, she really cares about the welfare of your cat. On first visit she diagnosed my diabetic with a urinary issue and is helping me to regulate his blood glucose levels. She calls to follow up with you. I'm so glad I found Hebron Cat hospital hopefully they can save my poorly diabetic.

Extremely professional and flexible service. They have worked with me on several special occasions for both of my cats. They are also open one Saturday a month for examinations, which is very convenient.

Elizabeth answering quickly and helping me schedule an appointment was a great start. Upon visiting, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, making sure first one cat was well and up to date on shots, then getting the other cat in for the same.
