Country Hills Veterinary Clinic Bulverde, Texas

Yesterday I went in to this clinic and after the vet appointment I proceeded to the front desk to ask about a refund for a medication with frightening warning labels that was not once opened and I still have the non-opened prescription. I was told by one of the gentleman that a refund would not be done because the medication "left the building". My boyfriend went in a few weeks ago with our dog that was diagnosed with heartworms and wasn't doing too well. At what point was he supposed to grasp everything, stop and take his sweet time going through the prescription label and question the product. Of course people read through things at home. Where is your office DISCLAIMER? Because as I looked around the office not one sign mentioned that about refunds. They are very quick to bill, but not resolve a legitimate pet owner's concern for a refund on a pill that totaled $70 something dollars. I sent an email to the vet directly and have still not received a response. I hope a paying customer's issue is not going ignored because that would be incompetent of Country Hills Vet staff. A refund is rightly due when the warning label states there is a risk of seizures and epilepsy even with no such medical history. Do I not have a choice when it comes to my beloved pet. If something does occur to my dog do you guys end up paying the medical bills for life? Because that would be the ONLY reason why a refund would be denied.

Dr. Patton truly cares about his patients. He’s extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what’s happening with your pet. He recently saw my 13 year old Westie, diagnosed a serious heart issue, prescribed the right medicine and she is feeling 100% better. I wish I would have found this vet years ago.

This vet clinic, Dr Patin and staff is the best. So Compassionate and kind. Dr. Patin took time out of his busy schedule to stay with me when I had to put my baby down last Monday. He did it himself and I know he was busy, it was last minute. So much compassion. Clean, friendly, prompt and fair pricing.

My beloved found new pup at his work place, he decided took home cleaned puppy up and tried to find the owner. Couple days later puppy got some issue, we called around 5 veterinarians close by the house for the next day check up non of them available. I called country hill veterinary and mentioned the issue, the receptionist was friendly, professional and get in appointment right the way next morning. Dr. Patin and the staffs were knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and diligently to work on the puppy's issue. So really worth the price what you pay for

Didn't even get to go in. The website says they exotic animals. And they don't. It's why I advertise it that way? Fix your marketing. I've wasted half my day trying to find a vet that takes care of a simple bunny issue, and just simply get referred to another vet who then refers me to another vet.

I took my two rats in because one had teeth misaligned and her eye was bothering her. They told me they see all kinds of pocket pets and the Dr. Told me she probably just has allergies and her teeth needed to be trimmed. Now she keeps losing weight, her tooth looks worse, and so do her eyes. It clearly was not just allergies. If you have a pocket pet, I would advise to go somewhere they see them daily. They should have told me that they didn't know much about rats. I am very unhappy that my poor girl keeps getting worse and they didn't help her or seem like they knew how to treat rats. *Updated review* My rat ended up dying from a possible abscess. I am upset that the vet didn't even notice or talk to me about it.

I have always had Very large dogs and this group of people have treated them as though they were their dogs. I cannot say enough about them. Gretchen is simply the best, when she trims their nail or washes their fur, the job is top notch.

Best vet and surgeon you can ask for and very clean state of the art facility. Good and friendly staff.

One of the best Vet clinics that my wife and I have ever been to. We have traveled so much and been to a lot of vet clinics. They really take great care of our babies. Dr Patton is compassionate and fantastic vet and has a state or the art clinic, very clean environment with good staff. I trust him with all our animals he helped over the last few decades. From farm animals to small pets.

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to write this review. I guess I’ve reached my last straw with this vet. I’ve come here with my cat, and my childhood dog. So when I got old enough to get my own place with my own dog, I chose this vet. I knew they took good care of my families pets. I brought my dog in because he was in pain, I couldn’t quite tell which leg it was but I knew something was wrong. I took him in as soon as I could, spent $500 on diagnostic testing to be told by Dr. Dusty Lehne, Jack has hip dysplasia. They sedated my dog, understandably, took X-rays And did some other testing that I had requested. He was so sure on that diagnoses. I got some pain medication and went on my way to figure out how I’m going to pay for an FHO surgery. About 2-3 days go by and I get a phone call from the same doctor, now he’s saying it’s both hip dysplasia AND a torn ACL. So now he will need an FHO and a TPLO. Why wasn’t I told all of this when I took him in that day? Time goes on, I even go as far as making a go fund me for my dog. I wanted some more information on the surgery And if any kind of payment plan was available. I’m young, my credit went to the crapper since covid. Just care credit or it’s a no-go. Got an appointment for the surgery consult, with dr. Patel, waited 45 min just to see the doctor for 2 minutes just to be told once again that it’s $3500. Oh yea, and the best part of all is that he doesn’t have hip dysplasia. Just a torn ACL. Dr. Patel was straight forward, which is good. But I was so upset that I felt like I was lied to. And now once again, they want to sedate my dog, who HATES the vet and WILL bite, just so the actual REAL doctor will finally look at my dog and give me a real freakin answer as to what the hell is wrong with my dogs leg. I’m upset that this wasn’t done the first time we sedated him. I live far away and tried to get a refill through chewy.com for his pain meds. They can’t do that for some reason when all I need is a piece of damn paper that has the doctor signature with a monthly amount of pain medication for one more month. I wasnt looking for long term pain medication. Just a cheaper option that works for me and my pet. They just weren’t willing to work with me at all. Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed and will be taking my dog elsewhere to be re-treated and will have to spend another $300-500 for more X-rays, pain meds and more sedation.

Tonight I was a first time client. My daughters cat was doing terrible and they were able to save him. These people went far beyond the call of duty. I will be making the longer drive in the future to take all of our animals to them. Thanks yall!

Found my new vet! I'm never going anywhere else. Everyone is so nice. My poor little chihuahua got attacked, and his eye was severely injured. He desperately needed veterinary care. Unfortunately, had an issue with the payment. (Bank issue.) I called 4 local veterinary clinics and explained my predicament, letting them know I could pay in full the next day. they all turned me away. ( & AHSV even suggested I apply for a credit card.) In tears, I tried one more, and called Country Hills Veterinary Clinic. They told me not to worry! That I can bring him in immediately and pay tomorrow. Within 30 minutes I had him at the clinic and they had him sedated, relieving his pain. I'm so thankful to the folks at Country Hills! They are a godsend! They truly care about the well-being of the animals they treat. They look at our pets as living beings rather than dollar signs. For that, I will be forever grateful. I found my new vet, and I'll be going there for all of my pets veterinary needs in the future. Amazing place! Outstanding people!
