This owner operated buisness is the best dog hotel I've ever had the pleasure to use. I have traveled the world and rarely see the authenticity i saw here. The owner is a truly passionate dog person, who wants the dogs in her care to be happy and safe. If you ever need a person to care, love and watch your dog for you.... this is it

This was the worse experience I have ever had! I took my dogs and dropped them off . I just didn’t feel right leaving them there. So returned 45 minutes later to pick them up. When the lady went to get one of my dogs. My dog was terrified of her. I told her she’s scared of you which she replied “No she’s scared of you” she is very unprofessional. This is not the place if you truly love your pets.

We've used Holiday Farms at least 3 times for our vacation within the last 6 months. The owner, Marilyn takes great care of our dog, Mindy. She's usually very tired when she gets home because she's had so much fun with her dogie friends and the staff at Holiday Farms. Mindy always runs to the owner whenever she arrives. Animals are very intuitive. This shows that she loves being here and trusts the people working here. Marilyn spoils our dog with treats and belly rubs whenever she's here. In addition, she has been very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Lastly, they also have the most reasonable rate in and the surrounding areas of San Antonio.

We have been using this facility for a couple of years. The owner treats all the dogs as her own, and takes incredible care of them. All of our dogs love the staff. The outside runs are spacious and safe. We never worry about our pups when we leave them here. I highly recommend.

We love Holiday Farms! I never worry about leaving my sweet Golden Retriever, Hattimae! She loves the owner and is always happy when I leave her. I can’t say enough about how happy I am for finding this place. Very reasonable prices too!

To anyone thinking about leaving their animals at this place, YOU SHOULD KEEP LOOKING!! It was a horrible experience for my 3 dogs. They were hungry and extremely thirsty to the point of dehydration...On pick up day, she had all three in a small cage and was rushing a tiny bowl of water to them as she knew we were on our way, not to mention when my heeler saw her walking up with the tiny bowl of water she was scared to death of the lady...My 2 year old heeler is now scared to bark, she will quickly bark and then start crying due to something she endured under this lady’s care. She has had severe diarrhea since we got her back 3 days ago. All 3 dogs haven’t had much of an appetite since returning from their stay at Holiday Farms, they all three have been sleeping most of the days since returning....My Yorkie finally ate today and is now throwing up and not able to keep his food down. Again, I can not stress to people enough...do not take your pets here! We were told they could go in and out as they please but that was not the case...my dogs stayed outside in 100 degree weather for 4 nights. I will make sure I inform anyone I come in contact with about how horrible this place is for animals...she should be shut down before she kills someones beloved family pet. I have read the few negative comments and the owner will have a comment trying to explain why the pet owners have left bad reviews, there is absolutely no explanation she can give to anyone as to why a pet ranch is neglecting animals. Giving these animals water the entire duration of their stay should not be a hard thing to do.

We've been regular customers of Holiday Farms for over 7 years. Our two Corgis love staying with Marilyn, the owner. Up until COVID, they went to doggie day care every day during the work week for many years. Not because they had to but because we knew they enjoyed it so much... and because we knew they were receiving excellent care and weren't sitting at home bored all day. They recently stayed at Holiday Farms for an entire month when we had to travel out of state. Marilyn kept in contact with us via text to let us know how our pups were doing and to let us know they missed us. Marilyn has devoted her entire life to caring for pets and she loves each one as if they were her own. They are her children. She is the sweetest, most down-to-earth person if you take the time get to know her. Communication is key. If you keep in contact with her, she's very flexible on drop off and pick up times. This is her home and she is rightfully protective of her property and her privacy. If you're expecting to come on her property and question all her practices or dictate how she runs her business, move on. She doesn't put up with "Karen" personalities and she doesn't have to, need to or want to. If you have a dog that spends time both indoors and outdoors year round and gets to play and get dirty, your dog will be in HEAVEN and living their best life on this beautiful property. Heck, I wish I could live there and enjoy the shade of the massive heritage Oak trees. If you don't want Fido to roll in dirt or play with other dogs and expect him to walk everywhere on a red carpet, go spend the extra money on a luxury pet resort. For everyone else, I don't think you'll find a better value anywhere. Also, the small cage along the driveway is for animals awaiting pick up. She does not keep animals in there all day with no water like one of the other commenters said. Simply not true -- I've probably spent more time on the property over the years than anyone else. If your dog has special needs, tell her! She'll do her best to accommodate...but don't blame her if your dog isn't used to being outside in summer temperatures and YOU drop them off when it's going to be 100 outside all week. Take some responsibility - don't just expect 24/7 air conditioning. I highly recommend Holiday Farms. My dogs give it two paws up and they don't want to go anywhere else!

I had a wonderful experience. I have two bull terriers. It’s very hard to find a sitter that understands them. They both have different personalities. The owner is wonderful with them! She is very knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely take my pups back there. They seemed very happy and tired when i brought them home. I cannot stress how wonderful the owner is. Thank you!

The owner of the kennel and the workers care very much about the dogs' health and safety. Water bowls are cleaned very frequently and food is provided at an appropriate quantity. Dogs are kept happy and healthy.

Terrible and very scary experience. Lady does not let you tour the property. Did not tell us our dog would be forced to sleep outside with other dogs - our dog is an indoor dog and it was 100 degrees the weekend we had him stay there. Our …

Because of a house fire and having to move into an apartment, my dog has been at Holiday Farms for over a year. I visit her everyday and have thus gotten to know the owner. I bring a large bag of treats that I share with the many dogs …
