I've had pets my whole life and been a solo pet owner for 7+ years, and this is the first vet office that I feel comfortable at. I don't feel pressured to spend huge amounts of money on unnecessary testing/procedures. I feel like staff listens. Dr. Cote is so easy to talk to and compassionate. I feel like I have finally found a vet office to stick with long-term, and I am thankful. Prices are reasonable compared to other vet offices in the area. Good experience all around. Thank you!

This place overdosed my dog and refused to take responsibility. Never bring your animal here. A normal visit will turn into the loss of your loved one. I'd give negative stars if I could.

My dog started having a limp and walking badly; it worried and scared me to death. I called that day was able to be seen same day. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room and Dr. Cote was super nice and kind. She was patient with me and did not rush out of the room. I literally asked millions of questions and she was took her time with us. I'm grateful to this office and staff!

I have been taking my dog Cassie here since she was a puppy. She is a VERY nervous dog but LOVES the staff here. She has done day boarding, overnight boarding, and all veterinary care and they have always taken such good care of her. I always worry about her as she is just an overly anxious dog and can cause problems, but they never seem to mind and always know how to comfort her. I do not live close to here any more but I drive out of my way any time Cassie needs anything because of how amazing they are.

On April 26, I noticed my almost 4-year-old cat, Socks, was acting different. He was lethargic, smacking his lips, and kept sticking his tongue out. His tail even fell into some water and it didn’t phase him. I noticed he had jumped up to eat some food, and the next thing I heard was his food dropping and him jumping back to the floor. I assumed it hurt him to eat, so I looked into his mouth and noticed something didn’t look right around his gums. I included pictures below. I started calling vets immediately Tuesday morning. I ended up bringing him to this VCA. The one thing I can appreciate about this place is that they took him in last minute (Tuesday, April 27) and were very kind and understanding over the phone when I made the appointment. However, this so-called “experienced” vet completely missed the blatantly obvious problem, and in return, I paid way more than I should have for unneeded tests. She did an office exam and realized he had a fever. I told the vet right away I thought it was his mouth causing issues. She looked into his mouth and said nothing was wrong. Nothing looked bad. She continued to explain, through drawings on the board, what his mouth would look like if something was wrong. She then proceeded to recommend we do a bunch of different tests, including blood tests, to test for different things. This cost me over $300 dollars. She also recommended Sub Q fluids and anti-nausea medicine and sent us home with some wet food. She said he should start feeling better by tomorrow, and I would know the test results in a couple days. This vet visit cost me a little under $500 with a first-exam discount. Even before I left, I repeated that I thought it was his mouth and pointed out I noticed something on his gums. Again, she looked in his mouth and said his mouth was fine. The next morning (Wednesday), all tests came back negative, putting us back at square one. Socks wasn’t improving and the only way he’d eat was if I spoon-fed him. I decided to get a second opinion, so I made an appointment with another vet. Not even 10 minutes into the appointment with this other vet, they tell me he has ulcers in his mouth which is causing the fever. They gave me antibiotics to give him for the fever, more sub q fluids, and another couple medications for his ulcers. Within 2 days, Socks started feeling better. By one week, he was back to his normal self while the ulcers went away. I am so upset with my experience at this VCA for missing something that was clearly so obvious to another vet. I should have never had to pay for blood tests because your vet should’ve seen that Socks had mouth ulcers right away. Instead, Socks had to be in pain longer than he needed to. Once Socks started feeling better, I called this VCA to let them know they completely missed the problem, so if other cats come in-in the future with these symptoms, the same mistake won’t be made. The lady on the phone did apologize and wished Socks the best, but it didn’t feel sincere. It felt more like she was annoyed I was pointing out a mistake. I will not be coming back here, and I’m just so thankful I took him to another vet for a second opinion.

I recently had to euthanize my 14+ year old, beloved dog: Charlie Brown . The decision to let go of him was so difficult and incredibly, emotionally painful. However, while we were there in the room with Charlie Brown and Dr. Hagney she provided great empathy and comfort. She was so kind and gentle with Charlie, but more than that she provided me with a great amount of peace about my decision. I looked at her, already knowing the answer and asked “ it’s the right time isn’t it?” she said “I would rather do it a month early than a day late“ God bless you Dr Hagney and all your wonderful staff

I've taken my dog to VCA for the past three years, and have used both their veterinarian and boarding services. Dr. Erickson and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and have taken great care of my dog every time! I can't say enough good things about the people and services of VCA!

I really appreciate the help and support I received when I was experiencing my fist adopted pet that had worms. The doctor was nice enough to stand outside and answer my stupid questions for like 15 minutes. Easily the most caring and compassionate vet I've ever encountered. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Thank you SO much to the staff and the doctor that did my dog’s surgery, I took her in because I found out from a previous er that she had pyometra. I was so worried and after calling several places, they were the one I chose they were reasonable caring and affordable. They explained what would be done and gave me plenty of information before and after her surgery! My sweet baby layla is doing so much better now and I cant thank you all enough!! DEFINITELY recommend

Easily one of the best experiences I've ever had with a veterinary service provider! Early in the morning at the beginning of a workday, my cat began to show signs of internal distress: hiding, lethargy, yowling, lack of appetite, and generally worrying behavior. I knew immediately he was in pain and danger. I made a call to several clinics, one of which told me to call back after they returned from lunch because, "It was probably nothing serious." Thankfully, they provided me the number to Advanced Care, and I got my cat the care he needed. As soon as I explained the symptoms to Samantha, she urged me to come in, recognizing the symptoms as a life-threatening urinary blockage. Due to the concerns with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this business has setup curbside assistance. Their implementation of this curbside service is outstanding, surprising even! I called in, immediately was provided information regarding my visit and concise instructions for curbside assitance, and then office staff promptly arrived to retrieve my suffering cat. Once he was taken in, I shortly received a call from the assisting veterinarian, Dr. Hageny, who explained to me, impassionedly, of the danger to my cat's life and the necessity for immediate intervention. I could tell just from her voice how much she cared that I made the right choice for my cat. After that point, every aspect of my cat's care was handled with care and professionalism. I was given every opportunity to learn more about the urinary blockage my cat was suffering from, the mode of treatment he would be undergoing, and his progress through the treatment. Every question that I had was answered and met with calm, professional, and competent responses by both Dr. Hageny, my cat's direct veterinarian, and Dr. Erickson, the medical director of the facility. At each instance, I was able to speak with the medical staff for lengths of upwards of 15 minutes apiece. Imagine having a doctor's visit where the doctor is willing to entertain your curiosity for so long! He has since returned home and is setup, according to the advice I received during all of my consultations, on a dietary and lifestyle change that will hopefully result in a happier and healthier life for my boy. I can't recommend this place highly enough! I will indeed be returning for all of my cat's veterinary needs.

My sweet 11 year old border collie, Pooh Boy, started showing distressing signs the morning of January 25th. We called quite a few places but this place stuck out. Unfortunately our boys stomach flipped and we had to put him down here. They are kind, caring and understanding. They made a terrible process comforting and took amazing care of not just my wife and I but of our boy. Today I received a card from all of the staff wishing us well. These people get it. They understand companionship. Thank you guys so much. We will forever recommend them.

My first visit last week and I selected it because it was opened late when we were in a bind to get our dog’s rabies shots for a new apartment. The staff and vet were friendly and they provided a free sample and goodie bag!

VCA Advance care is overpriced and couldn't fix my dog's ear infection. We had spent over $2,000 in 3 months of trying to fix our poor baby's ear. We have decieded to move to Bandfield in Petsmart. So far we love the staff at Bandfield and can work with us more price wise. They took $50 off on our first visit and we are signing up for Optimum wellness plan that will save us $$$ in the long run. Glad we made the switch!

This is the second VCA I have dealt with and had an amazing experience. We just moved and didn't have a vet yet but when our dog got sick with pneumonia they treated us like family from the start. They worked with us to quickly treat her and make her comfortable. It was 2 days before Christmas but they made time for her before the holiday and a check up after. The staff is very sweet and helpful. We are so thankful to have another awesome VCA home vet. We have been members of the care club for a couple years now.

Excellent. We go from Irving to Bedford because we've not cared for the one in Irving as much. The girls in Bedford are very polite and friendly and really know what they're doing.

Right now (Dec 2020) a masked vet tech comes out to your car and picks up your pet, takes it inside, they treat them or run tests and then call you to discuss, like most vets in these covid times. However, Dr. Trussell has been taking care of my cat for 17 years, and I can't say enough good things about her. She is very kind but also to the point and no nonsense. I definitely partially attribute my 3 special needs cats' long lives to her great care. One of my cats has a rare condition that requires special labs and many vets just aren't equipped to deal with it. One of my cats loves vet tech Rebekah (who he has known his whole 16 year life) so much, that he howls to go back when I bring him home from check ups. If you want compassionate, no nonsense, smart, honest vet care (and who doesn't?) definitely check them out.

Considering the Covid times...they did a wonderful job. Keep me informed the entire time they examined my Fur-baby.

Very caring staff at vca at this location. Dr. Cassandra Erickson called me to talk about Cricket while he was with her inside. She told me everything they did, asked if I had questions stayed on the phone until she answered my questions. Didn't try to rush my questions or her answers. Was very impressed with Dr. Cassandra Erickson and the staff there.
