Dr. Buys is a gem. We have many pets and they all adore her. She has a gentle, nurturing demeanor that puts them at ease. She also considers any input we humans might have with respect, instead of just brushing us off as so many doctors are wont to do. We feel so lucky to have found her. I also must add that the pricing at this clinic is quite reasonable, and they don't try to upsell you or guilt-trip you if you can't afford expensive treatments. Just an overall great experience with Travis Country.

UPDATE: My parents and I have been coming here for years, so when I got a new puppy this year I immediately set up an appointment. Since the first initial appointment that was great, I have only had unpleasant and truly unacceptable experiences. Firstly, their prices keep steadily going up. They quoted me $525+ to neuter my dog and when I asked why the prices went up x2, she informed me prices have been going up since 2020 and would continue to go up (because of the pandemic). Secondly, the receptionist(s) are very rude and at one time told me there was no possibility of booking an appointment when my dog was sick. The next day I called back because my dog was in more distress and they informed me that in fact they always leave room in the schedule for cases like this, even though the day prior I was told the exact opposite. Fast forward to the most recent time I called and they informed me that the only way I could get a refill on his meds was to pay for an emergency vet appointment. I asked if I could please speak to the vet and they told me he would have to call me back, they took my information (even though it was in the system) and assured me I would get a call by EOD, to which I never received. In summation, if you want communication that is painstakingly hard to get about your beloved pet, raised prices that don’t make sense, and rude receptionists, then go to Travis Country. If you don’t and want a recommendation, Burnet Road Animal Hospital is where I’ve moved my dogs to, and they are beyond amazing.

I have been coming to Travis Country Vet since I was young with our family pets. Even as an adult I always take my fur babies here. I love this place so much, that I moved to Houston in February and still bring my fur babies here for shots and yearly check ups. (Obviously I am no longer able to bring them in emergency cases). Doctors are all great, staff is always friendly and you can tell they love animals, and prices are very reasonable.

Dr Buys and her team at Travis Country Veterinary Clinic provided excellent care for my Yorkie, who needed immediate intervention! The staff had the old Texan attitude: open, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The first time I used the Travis Country vet was in 1977. They were just as good to this baby as they were to my first baby. Different people, same kind spirit.

My dog is normally a little scared of strangers, but went into the vet without a struggle at all. Because of COVID, I waited in my car. The appointment only took 30 minutes, and when they called me to inform me that they were done, they were very nice and clear about everything they'd done (shots, etc). I have recommended them to others.

My puppy and I were really happy with the people and the service they provide, really friendly and professional they were very patient with me and solve my requirements, I definitely recommend them

While there have been some growing pains as of late... the care my little guy Oliver has always been the best.. Dr Buys, Gwen, Brittany and Stephanie are the best!!! Been my go to vet for 15 years!

Dr. Clemons has always done a fantastic job taking care of my senior pugs, Flick and Bug. He’s very kind and takes the time to answer any questions and also thoroughly explains what’s going on with my dogs while offering several options with no judgment on decision. I also had Dr. Buys help me with the palliative care of my very sick Flick earlier this year and she was also very kind and helpful with the options and process during a difficult time. The front office staff is a pleasure to interact with..every single person is so friendly and seems to really love their job. I recommend Travis Country to any friends looking for a vet that offers it all.

We had a routine vaccine visit and everything went just as expected. The staffs are friendly and wait time is reasonable.

Recently adopted a new pup and had a wonderful first visit with Dr. Seider. We were able to get an appointment quickly and the visit was thorough yet brief as we were seen right away. My pup loved his experience because he got to enjoy peanut butter during his exam. Overall, it was an easy, affordable experience and we will definitely be returning!

We lost our sweet little 4 legged member of our family on Tuesday. Our heart still aches. The team at Travis Country was very thoughtful, helpful and caring through this ordeal. I don’t know how to truly rate this particular experience, but I appreciate everything they did.

I recently moved to the Austin area and have a special needs cat. Dr. Sam Seider was very understanding and took time to research his condition prior to the procedure the following day. Dr. Seider is very responsive and made sure to provide updates before and after the procedure. The rest of the front desk staff and vet technicians are very friendly and helpful. There were long waits for checking-in at the location during the busy hours of the day, but the staff was always apologetic and still took time to help. I'm glad we found this vet and I feel comfortable trusting our cats with Dr. Seider and his team.

Top notch! Caring and professional

We recently joined the rest of our family in trusting Dr. Buys with our beloved Rottie. Our initial visit for shots was great…both staff and doc were attentive and addressed questions. When a cough appeared and we needed an appointment, we were able to see Dr. Clemons who gave us the same quality service. Great practice that cares about making both pets and their parents feel comfortable.

Our 2 cats were stressed out about visit. With the Stage 5 Covid, we had to check in my phone from a parking lot. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. When the technician came to get us and take us inside for face to face visit with the vet. The staff was friendly and nice and also very professional. Our male cat was freaking out, hissing and growling and just got his rabies shot. We didn't want to stress him further. We will return in 3 years. Thank you Dr Clemons and Darnell, for making us feel welcome and taking care of our two cats. Y'all were great. We highly recommend this vet for your cat or dog. Thank you, Larry and Rose
