Tara is doing awesome teaching our very tense dog to be more open around other humans.

Really excellent training by Joy. Molly is going for her third session one on one next week and is doing amazing. Also sending her for an all day session tomorrow for socializing, leash and walking training. Molly is not quite four months old. She sits now and wants until I tell her she can eat. Plus several other commands perfectly. Love this place.❤

I've had several private sessions with Tara so far (lots more planned for the future). I have a pack of 4 reactive dogs and she has helped me understand them so much better! I recommend her to all my friends, coworkers and clients (I work at 2 vet clinics). I recommend booking wayyy in advance as she is usually full a month and a half in.

Easiest five star review of my life. I have a a very dominant male English Bull Terrier and Laura walked me through how put my pup in the appropriate place. They came recommended from Dogtown Austin Daycare and for good reason. They are busy so book in advance but they are worth every dollar. You will leave with clear instructions and tons of material to reference. I'll be back for additional training in the future!

Disclaimer: This review is solely based on customer service. I was referred to K9 workingmind from a past client. I hear great things about Tara and her company, however I was unable to experience their knowledge firsthand due to response issues. I have left multiple emails through the website and my personal email, as well as left phone messages. I was attempting to do stay and train with my 8th month old puppy and was willing to travel a long distance to utilize their services. I received a generic email after multiple attempts, then I responded with a specific question and heard nothing. It is my hope they see this review and improve upon their service to prevent loss of future potential clients.

I have been training my dog with Laura. She is very knowledgeable and very good at explaining the reason behind certain behavior. I definitely recommend them.

She is great with all dogs. She has especially been great at helping me with my aggressive German Shepherd. He is better at walking and interacting with other dogs. Thank you for helping me Tara.

Best dog trainer in town!

I drove a long distance for training after completing a lengthy online form only to be informed that the trainer I was meeting with would need to refer me to another trainer. I was charged $75 to be told this. Now that I investigate further no one that works at this facility has any kind of professional dog training accreditation.

Tara has 30 years of experience and it really is a jarring difference what this means for you and your dog. We have unlocked so much intelligence in our dog and have an improved understanding of one another. This is our dog after passing his AKC Good Citizenship Test.

I learned alot about my dogs and how I interact with them. Had really positve results from the introductory class. The staff is great!

Tara and her team are incredibly skilled. I would give them my highest recommendation. She helped our dog with extreme fear of the vet. Prices are also reasonable for the quality of service provided!

Tara is absolutely amazing; her knowledge is unmatched when it comes to dog behavior, her presentation was full of great information but simple to understand, and she gives great advice without being preachy. Tara is the go-to person to help you understand your pet's behavior. Behavior evaluations, ability, tracking, trieball, obedience; Tara does it all.

Small group settings, excellent friendly trainers

I have done the private trainings as well as the group classes. Tara is great about teaching you the techniques as well as the reasoning behind them. Through time my dog has gone from being unable to be in the same room as other people with her barking and carrying on to sitting on my mom's lap last time she visited. I've even had a group of people over to my apartment with my dog content play with toys or lay down on the floor while people go in and out, which would have been unthinkable before training with Tara. Now we're working on her reactive on-leash behavior through a group class with similar progress. I really enjoy my time in the these classes and have learned a lot, cannot recommend Training by Tara enough.

A more intelligent approach to dog training.

Tara is the best. The seminar was crammed with way more information than expected and it made so much sense. She knows so much about dog behavior I was in awe of what I didn't know. She is an excellent speaker as well. Her presentation skills are such I could listen to her speak all day.

Great attention to detail and the sessions are great.

I can not recommend Tara more. She is experienced, knowledgeable and caring. I’ve been to a couple of her seminars and learn so much from listening to her. If you have a dog that needs work, she is worth it.

She offers a wide variety of training. She's patient with owners and dogs who are learning new behaviors that lead to a wonderful harmony in their households. She approaches dog training as not just changing dogs behavior, but training humans on how to behave to get the results they want to see in good in their dogs behavior. She values safety for dogs by keeping her classes at a reasonable size and makes sure every human and dog gets the same amount of attention. I have seen fantastic results with my dogs and we will continue to use her services and attend her seminars to further expand our knowledge about dog behavior and how humans should interact with their canine companions.
